    Hot Buffet rice, chicken, fish

Got the buffet right when they had changed to seafood. Amazing spot, so glad we went. Sat in a booth with the kids and they enjoyed the food, especially the macaroni and cheese. I loved the fish and the grits with gravy and the banana pudding. Chicken was good when hot. Really wanted to order a poboy and should have probably gotten on to go because the food was so good. Wouldn't hesitate to stop on our next road trip but one bathroom was out of order and I had to change baby on my lap (would do in the car next time).

This is a southern diner with a Sunday brunch menu and a popular local spot for fried chicken and dinner fixings too. We had Sunday brunch. Food was good (we ordered the buffet) and coffee was great! Lots of locals, located right off the highway.

    Burnt scrambled eggs... really?

Would have given a 5 star rating were it not for the fact that they served "burnt" scrambled eggs (see photo). These should never have been sent out from the kitchen. The waitstaff were friendly and attentive the rest of our food was tasty.

Another visit to the OHC,however I'm doing breakfast, never done breakfast b4, I've done lunch and dinner. I was anticipating a breakfast buffet, however that's only done on Saturday and Sunday. The breakfast menu offers a lot of choices. I tried the hungry man breakfast, which consisted of 3eggs any way you like,3 sausage patties,3 slices of bacon, grits, toast or pancakes, I opted for the pancakes. I ate the eggs and 1 sausage patty and 1 slice of bacon and 2 cups of Coffee and I was ready for a nap. So I have enough for leftovers for another breakfast meal. Prices are very reasonable here in the Low country, and the servers and service was fantastic. So don't sleep on OHC.

Absolutely the best southern food I have ever had. Fried chicken, ham, shedded hot roast beef, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, southern greens. The list goes on and on. The salad was perfect with six different choices for dressing. The different array of desserts. They have different meals but just get the buffet to enjoy everything. Definitely a must stop for us when we were travel to Hilton Head. Convenient location. The service is excellent.

Traveling for work. I always love finding these mom and pop gems. The buffet is a local favorite. I'd agree. Plenty of options. I chose the fried chicken. Very good. So good, went back to eat on another day.

Friendly staff, food was good and local. If you're wanting to sit down for a meal that's not expensive but decent this would work.

The food never arrived. While the owner did communicate with us about what was going on, he stoped answering calls and messages. he texted toward the end of the event to notify us that the van broke down and that he could fly the food in and give a partial repayment. neither of those options were helpful seeing as the party was over. since then he has not answered any of my calls, as well as calls of my family and friends calling for him to issue us a refund. He has been incredibly unprofessional and uncooperative. There are better places to get catering from! Do not do business with this fraud.

He immediately set my mind at ease with the simple phrase "that's my job, yours is to enjoy". We arranged a menu and all the specifics (including staff and service pieces) with less than 2 weeks pre-event. We did not have to lift a finger. 5 days post-wedding we are still receiving feedback about how fabulous the food was and asking for contact information. Everyone from Atol was personable, friendly and professional - they even stayed until the end and joined us in the photo-booth and dance floor (to our request & delight!). To repeat myself, the food was phenomenal and the staff was amazing!!! I would most definitely contract with them again!

I was not entirely sure what a "waffle pop" would turn out to be, but I ended up with two of them in an order, freshly made and topped with one fruit and one sauce of choice. Getting bananas with blueberry sauce was a good choice, one of many I expect. My strawberry matcha with boba was compromised by them running out of strawberry boba, but the regular tapioca balls did just fine soaked in a robustly flavored beverage. Their donut selection was appealing, but I simply did not have room. It would be tough to get out of there without getting a ton of sugar, and this place did not seem to have a ton for the more niche special dietary needs. However, it did have a lot of interesting messaging as a community space, with resources directed towards military families in particular, which moves me to look favorably on the place. And their stuff is delicious.

My web search for coffee found this place just a couple hundred feet from my hotel, opening in just…read more5 minutes (7:00). So I walked over. It was not at all what I expected in a strip mall near a chain hotel. What a cheerful place, the walls yellow, the windows decorated with big bright suns, the menu boards artfully illustrated, kitchy motivational signs everywhere. I was greeted with a geniality matching the overall vibe by a woman whom it was apparent was the owner. I complimented her on the name "Sunny Summers". She told me it was named after her two daughters. There was a young girl working with her so I asked her if she was Sunny or Summer. She didn't say anything. As it turned out she was neither - just an unrelated employee. I had only come in for a cup of coffee but I saw the donuts and couldn't resist. Many of them were outrageous sugar bombs - and beautiful to look at. But I settled on a more sedate cinnamon-sugar. Glad I did. It was fried to order then dusted with the topping and served not in a bag but in a cute box sized just right for the single. So when I ate it in the car 5 minutes later it was still warm, and fresh as can be. Does she always do this or was it because I arrived just after opening? Unsure, but it was a spectacularly good donut. The coffee, too, was excellent. Strong, no bitterness or sourness, and from a local independent roaster. The other foods mostly fit in the category of sweet indulgences: donuts with crazy toppings, "waffle pops", french toast. A few lunch items like panini. The burger offering was made with pancakes rather than the traditional bun! Now a few words about the proprietor. I was astonished by her outfit that left little to the imagination. At 7 in the morning! It was hard to keep my eyes where they belonged but I managed! (Sorry, I have no photos, for obvious reasons.) I realized later, when I did more research on the place, that this was part of her shtick, playing off her reputation as retired professional wrestler Lacey Evans. Before that she was in the Marine Corps serving in the military police force. An interesting choice of careers for sure. There's a board with prepaid receipts that the less-fortunate can use to get food. That's great. I wish I had known about it when I was there, not later during my research. I would definitely have prepaid a meal. Also, discounts for military and first responders. Not necessarily how I would do things but I know her intentions were good. The world needs more places like this. So a plea to anyone reading this: You may not be able to give up your Dunkin and Starbucks completely, as I have. But just try it for a month, or even a week: next time you need a fix check Google or Yelp for independent coffee shops, try something different, even if you have to go a little out of your way. You may just discover a new favorite hangout.
