The staff and owners are AWSOME!! Super friendly, pleasantly attentive, and people who will remember you with a smile the next time you come in. Chavelas has it's own private parking along the side of their building. They offer limited seating outdoor (which is covered) and ample seating indoor with both booth, tabletop, and Bartop options. It's football season, but dont worry as Chavelas has several T.V.'s for your viewing pleasure throughout the restaraunt and at the bar. The restaraunt is always clean which is one thing I always admire about here, they truly care at Chavella's. Lets talk food!! Today I ordered the Chavella's Special which is "a little bit of everything"; absolutely hit the spot!! The menu has all your favorites and some new ones you didn't know about, but be sure to look at the "Specials board" at the front as you walk in. Chavella's offers your normal fountain drinks, Jarritos (my favorite), Horchata, and many others. The full bar can bring a smile as well whether it's a beer, Michelangelo, or their own Sangria!!! If you are loving the fall weather and are looking for soup try their Carne En Su Jugo, it's one of their specials and for a great reason. Ask for their "House hot sauce" if you want a bit more Ying; it's soooooooo goooooooooood and not overbearing. If you make it into South Carolina, and find yourself close to Elgin, be sure to make Chavella's one of your planned stops.

I've been eating at this restaurant since they opened. I came in to get take out on Sunday and a longtime employee of the chain was at the bar, extremely drunk and rude to me in front of staff and a waitress barely shrugged and said sorry like it really didn't matter. He went as far as to ask me, very loudly, sexual questions and when I refused to answer he loudly yelled some disturbing comments. To make things worse, there were people that I had worked with and old classmates that were in earshot of his drunken rant. Women should not be subjected to these kinds of things and if this company will allow their employees to act this way, then they don't deserve to have customers or a business license. They'll be lucky if this issue doesn't stop here. read more

My steak was not tender at all and had little taste as was my wife's chicken. She only took two bites and didn't eat the rest. We didn't care for the food at all. She went to the bathroom and said that the toilet didn't flush and there was no water. No water was coming out of the faucets. Total bill for two lunch chimichangas and two waters was $38 which includes the tip. We won't be returning.
