"Guacamole" with loads of shredded lettuce mixed in. It was terrible!
Squidgy S.

I've been here several times in the last couple of years. At first, I was impressed because it is one of the very few restaurants in town that offers authentic-ish Mexican food. On my first few visits, I was impressed by how tasty the guacamole, huaraches, and Gorditas were. Sadly, I was deeply disappointed during my recent visit (a month ago). The guacamole I ordered was a mixture of about half avocado and half shredded iceberg lettuce. This makes the portion look larger and allows Tacos El Puebla to spend less money while still charging customers the same price (or even more) but it does not taste good. When I order guacamole, I expect fresh avocado, red onion, lime juice, salt, and spices like cumin, a sprinkle of cayenne, etc., NOT shredded cheap lettuce. I also had to return to the counter and ask for chips. The tacos and Gorditas were greasier than I remember and I felt unwell after I finished eating. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and I do not plan to return to Tacos El Puebla.

I was finally able to stop in for lunch. It was pretty busy, and the parking lot is small, but I parked next door, which wasn't bad. The space is pretty decently sized. If you wanted to sit and enjoy your food, you could. I ordered the birria tacos, and they were just okay because the cheese was cooked into the tortilla and different than I expected. The flavor of the meat, though, was good. Next time, I will try the street tacos.

So good! Was craving a burrito and the steak burrito had to have been my FAVORITE! I want one everyday now... I also got 4 different tacos, I had them surprise me with the order so I'm not sure which ones I got, but one was either like potato or cheese and that was my second favorite thing! I also like the chorizo one! The other two weren't my favorite, but I couldn't tell what they were. (Maybe pork, chicken or barbacoa? I'm not someone who likes pork though!) HIGHLY recommend. Very accommodating!

The food was really good here. I wish they had seafood tacos (shrimp or fish) so the limited to no seafood options was the 4 stars for me. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded just me for several minutes until a small family arrived. I can see how parking maybe a problem during a busy lunch crowd tho, but luck me to have the whole place to myself on a Saturday, lol! Customer service was ok. The lady taking the order was illustrated major patience as I tried to navigate the menu to satisfy my Mexican fix for the day. If you in the are, try them out and let me know what your order so I can try something new.

This is an authentic Mexican hole in the wall restaurant with taco truck vibes. They offer tacos, burritos, tortas, huaraches, and empanadas. They were friendly and fast. The prices are good and the al pastor was tasty.

'Birria' tacos

I probably don't even have to type this because the picture clearly shows that my food was not up to par . I'm a woman , I was alone and It was late at night so I did not want to go back in and put myself in danger nor make It seem as if I was just trying to cause problems , I threw the food away which costed me $13 . The tacos seem like flour and were very soggy and as you can see clearly looks NOTHING like their other pics of Birria . Would yall eat this ???? Oh and the consommé as you can tell is just oil & It has absolutely no flavor . I ate one taco and It still had an okay taste , but I was very unhappy with It overall and that would be my first and very last time trying food there , sorry .

Chicken quesadilla, gorditas

So yummy. The beans were not my favorite, they had a large piece of fat in them. I loved the gorditas, so good

Low key hole in the wall authentic Mexican street tacos. Simple menu that offers a lot of flavor. Closed Sunday.

Got the chicken burrito and two chicken tacos and both were fantastic and good prices. Chips and guac were both also great. We will be back!

Pupuseria Sandrita At Soda City - Pupusas on the flat top.

I was anticipating a hand-sized pupusa, and what was on the flat top were pupusas about the size of my head. Not necessarily a problem, but even a Salvadoran friend of mine was put off by how big the pupusas were when I sent him a picture. The second was the price. I get inflation and yadda yadda, but I looked at the menu picture on here for the pork pupusa ($7) and when I got there in person it was actually $10. Now, I get that the menu picture was 3 years ago, but yeesh. Again, the Salvadoran friend was blown away by the price. The pupusa itself was rather greasy, and had a very strong masa flavor. It was less a pocket of meat rather a flat pancake with meat throughout. Once I got towards the center, the flavor was a lot better. The curtido and the hot sauce made the pupusa much better. Over all, say it was pretty decent, but I would not get it again considering the price. If you like very large portions, you'll have no problem with these pupusas. It just wasn't for me. Pupusa: 7.0/10 With curtido and hot sauce: 7.6/10 Total: $10

Flavorful and very authentic food. Serviced by owners which makes it even more enjoyable.read more

Basically it was teasing us - it would drizzle then stop. It would rain pretty hard, then stop. Luckily, the heavens never opened up - would have been a waste of a great event! I especially enjoyed the Chill Pops - homemade popsicles with a huge variety of flavors. I got the watermelon and my friend Sarah had the honey-peach. In addition to the popsicles, there were tomato sandwiches, fresh local beer from River Rat and Conquest, and lots of restaurant stands. Oh! The bands! My favorite was "Alternate Routes." Look them up.

There was 2 places for live music and the bands were pretty good. The thing I found disappointing was the amount of food vendors there. With the name being Tasty tomato I was expecting a lot of places highlighting the use of tomatoes and there was probably about a dozen food vendors and it seemed like they were either selling pimento cheese or a tomato salad as their tomato dish. There was plenty of varieties of beer and a place selling bloody maries. My one question in my mind when we walked the farm is we saw pears growing, the micro greens growing, egg plant, etc but we didn't see one tomato plant on our walk. I guess all in all if this was billed as a concert (which we would not have gone to) then this would have been great just misses the mark for me as a tomato festival where I thought food was going to be the focal point.
