Popped in like an hour or so before closing. Long day and just wanted to chill and get a meal in me. Hostess was so lovely and sat me at a table. The server popped by and took my order when I was ready. I liked how they just let me sit, enjoy my meal, scroll on my phone and decompress after a bit of a day. I really needed it. All the other customers had pretty chill and pleasant vibes. Along with the array of vibrant colors and design that felt very much something created out of love made it a great meal. Um the super burrito or whichever I had is no joke. It was the size of my forearm and I am not a petite person. Tasted wonderful. Came out nice and warm too. My server was Romina who was just so lovely. When I said I wanted a margarita with reposado not silver tequila she was very quick to suggest a wonderful option. I really loved their idea of creating cocktails in 3 different sizes that is a great idea! Would both recommend and return!

We were out shopping and decided to try something new, and based on all the great reviews, we had high hopes for CoCo's and Beer. Unfortunately, maybe we just caught them on an off day, because our experience wasn't the best. The salsa to start had a bitter taste and an odd aftertaste that threw us off right away. My husband ordered the tacos al pastor, but the meat tasted old and tough--almost like it had been reheated. The charro beans were completely lacking in flavor, and the chile relleno had to be sent back because the beef smelled sour and the dish was just a sloppy mess. I ordered the Pollo Loco with grilled chicken and shrimp, which was the saving grace of the meal. The chicken and shrimp were cooked well, though the shrimp was a little on the tough side. Service was also a bit disappointing. We had to flag down our server multiple times for refills and even for the check. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, but it just missed the mark for us. Hopefully, it was just an off day--but with so many great Mexican restaurants in Columbia, I'm not sure we'll be rushing back anytime soon.

This has always been a great place for Mexican food. The portion sizes are large. Burritos are enormous. There are so many unique dishes. I have so many go-to items, even though I'd like to try everything on the menu. They have drink specials on Tuesdays during happy hour including $1,99 house margaritas. They are pretty decent too. You can go wrong. If you haven't been here, give this place a try. I highly recommend it the California burrito if it's your first time (could feed 2 people) or try something unique from the menu.

On a busy weeknight, we decided to pick up dinner from here. It was literally done within five minutes of placing our order Customer service so nice and friendly and when I say the food is delicious it is a 10 out of 10. Say we've already been back a few times.

Veterans Day experience here was welcoming, and the atmosphere is soothing. Very clean and great surroundings along with traditional music that inspires the setting. But the food is freshly cooked and hot. Ready to eat with great temp and taste !! Love it

Finally got a chance to check this spot out ... upon walking in .. the restaurant is well lit .. wit the music setting the vibe .. started the night with queso and salsa .. added a little salt and it hit the spot... For my entree I ordered the Enchiladas Tricolor with chicken .. The red was good with a tomatoe base and a good tasting sauce... the white was also good kind of like a lite queso if you will ... NOW... the green will smack you lol it's very limey .. def not my favorite but it wasn't nasty . The food came out hot and also at a good temp .... Our waiter was also good nothing to brag about ... he barely talked ... However the staff works in teams when running the food and that something I like seeing in restaurants . Also the entire staff wore earpieces to communicate about tables. I've seen it before but not at a Mexican restaurant.. another observation is that there isn't just one hose I seen all servers seat guest so there was no wait Kudos to yall ... I'll have to come back to try one of those sizzling plates that smelled soooooo good in passing ... dope outing for a Friday evening in the Met ... Till next time.

Casa Amigos Bowl with the steak. It was so very delicious! I would recommend to others for sure!!

The food the service and the ambience were excellent. For sure recommend to others to go try them out. They handled our extremely large group with grace and kindness. Our group was very supportive to the staff ad we are aware that staff can get very overwhelmed by our group size.

Been coming here for the past 3 years! It always hits the spot! My favorite part is the $21 dollar pitcher of house margarita it's absolutely amazing and strong . Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to enjoy good food and drinks . They also have a salas bar where you can pick your choice of hot sauces. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars it's because they never use to charge for Alcohol taxes/ services taxes. They charge less if you pay in Cash then with your card.

I'm sorry. Im so sorry. But I grew up in New York, and I know what it means to earn a great review, and that has weight.I also lived in California for 9 years. I had Mexican food in both states, and I know what traditional Mexican food is about. Thisaintitfolks. Don't be fooled people. Everything was geared to the "idea" of that food/culture, but it doesn't hit at all. EVERYTHING was bland. Every dish on the menu was just a mix mash of the same ingredients, but with different names. Nothing taste good, down to the free chips. Tap beer also tasted funny. PLEASE folks don't assume because it's Mexican food that it's actually "Mexican food". If you are looking for genuine Mexican food I can't really help, because I haven't found it since I've been here. Best advice is try to find those food trucks that appear every once in a

This place used to be my go to for Mexican! However when they added a second location and modernized the inside- it lost its touch. The margaritas and burritos are what draw people into this place and they are both huge and yummy!! The burritos are California style and enough for three meals. The salsas are yummy- they bring a house and ranchero style out. They also have a real spicy salsa that you can request if that's your style. The restaurant offers indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. I would recommend grabbing a table indoor because if you order guacamole they will bring a cart to your table and make it in front of you.

The waitress took our order as soon as we walked in. She brought out chips and individual cups of salsa for each of us (the salsa was excellent with just the right amount of heat). Three of us ordered the #3 special (taco, enchilada and burrito), 1 ordered Fajitas, 1 order for #2 Lunch special(Taco and enchilada, one order the huge Cubana Torta. Service was very good. Food was great and authentic. The Cubana Torta is another thing in itself! Huge, with hot dogs sticking out the side and the kitchen sink ingredients on the inside. Freddie got half of it down and packed up the other half to take home to his wife. It's a cultural experience trying to eat the whole thing yourself. Since the last time I was here they have added a very nice outdoor covered area to the left of the restaurant...nicely decorated and a perfect place to enjoy Mexican food weather permitting!!! We'll definitely go back.

Families, dates or just team gatherings fill the room along with the beautiful bright murals on the walls. The staff is super attentive and the service is absolutely exceptional. The pork belly chicharones were definitely the star of my meal. Fried perfectly and a good ratio of fat to lean meat, it was a 10/10. Hit it with some fresh lime juice and it sets it off! The esquites and carne asada taco were a miss for me. The esquites lacked depth of flavor, tasted like they just had canned corn that was warmed up and topped with condiments. Not terrible but again, nothing special. The carne asada taco was tough, literally and figuratively. It wasn't seasoned and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. This is still a go to spot...not pictured are the AMAZING soups they make.

Although I don't remember the bartender's name, he was such a cool guy and did a great job of introducing me to the restaurant. I got a margarita to drink, which was a little more expensive than most other margaritas I've gotten, but the quality easily made up for the price. To eat, I simply got three (3) cheese quesadillas, as the rest of the menu was a little too complicated for me. Although they're a simple dish, they were still really good! As for the ambiance, Coa was also a really cool, upscale, and atypical Mexican place! I think it nailed the vibe it was going for, and there are few, if any, comparable places in the surrounding area (that I've been to at least!) Overall, Coa was an awesome upscale Mexican restaurant. I loved stopping in, and I will be back in the future. As such, I'd recommend it to anybody looking for the same vibe!

We were really looking forward to celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary at COA, but…read moreunfortunately we never made it past the seating experience. I made our reservation about two weeks in advance and specifically noted that we were celebrating our anniversary--44 years on September 11. We arrived at 4:15 for our 4:30 reservation, and the restaurant was nearly empty. At the hostess stand, we initially seemed to be treated as walk-ins until I mentioned that we had a reservation. That didn't seem to make any difference. We were led past three booths occupied by parties of four, two, and three. The fourth booth was empty. Instead, we were seated at a very small two-top with other two-tops about two feet away on either side--not exactly the setting we had hoped for on our anniversary, and barely enough room for dinner plates and drinks. I asked whether we could have the empty booth and was told it was reserved for a party of four. Fair enough, so I asked whether there was another table available. The hostess said she would check, despite the restaurant being almost completely empty. Our server then came over and began pouring water. I had to say "wait a minute" twice so we could find out whether we were changing tables. She then told us they were completely booked and there was nowhere else they could seat us. Perhaps every one of those empty tables really was committed to later reservations, but at 4:15 in an almost empty restaurant, it was disappointing that no effort seemed to be made to accommodate a couple who had reserved well in advance and specifically told the restaurant they were celebrating their 44th anniversary. So we left. We walked across the street to Blue Marlin, where we were warmly welcomed and had an excellent anniversary dinner. The contrast in hospitality could not have been greater. We never had the opportunity to try COA's food, so I can't comment on it. But restaurants are about more than food. Hospitality begins the moment a guest walks through the door, and on a special occasion we had planned weeks in advance, COA simply made us feel like they didn't particularly care whether we stayed or left. We left.
