We got the Triple Dipper with sides, and wow--it was awesome I went with the Nashville Hot Chicken Crispers, wings, and Southwestern Egg Rolls, plus fries, mac and cheese, and corn Those Nashville Hot Crispers? Perfectly spicy and crunchy, the heat was perfect with the juicy chicken. The wings were classic comfort food, juicy and delicious. And the egg rolls? That crispy shell with the chicken, beans, and corn was seriously addictive The sides were great too. Crispy fries, creamy mac and cheese, and sweet corn--it all worked perfectly This visit reminded me why I loved Chili's. Our server Raven made it what it was as her customer service was great. From the moment we arrived, we encountered a series of issues that left us feeling undervalued as patrons. After being seated, we waited several minutes without seeing our server. Frustrated by the delay, we felt compelled to ask another server for assistance. At that point, we considered leaving because my time is valuable, and I believe no patron should feel overlooked. However, my family encouraged me to stay and give the server another chance, hoping that the situation might improve. I ordered a full rack of ribs with broccoli and mashed potatoes, anticipating a delightful meal. Unfortunately, the ribs were rather dry and undercooked, requiring significant effort to cut. I shared my concerns with the server and requested that my ribs be cooked properly. Shortly thereafter, the manager approached to inquire about the issue. To my disappointment, he stated that all the ribs are cooked the same way, which did not address my concern directly. Throughout our visit, the server was scarcely present. Our table remained cluttered with used plates and napkins, and we received no drink refills. It became increasingly frustrating that we weren't even able to get a receipt because the waitress never returned to our table. Although the restaurant was nearly full, it seemed to have no positive effect on the level of service we received. After visiting the restroom, I returned to find that my family had already packed our food to-go, indicating that they were also dissatisfied with the service. While my daughter was looking at the device on the table, she noticed the bill. Ironically, it was only at this moment that the server reappeared, asking if we were splitting the bill, which we declined. The total was $154.50, and I handed my daughter the cash - $100, $50, and $5-to settle the payment. We waited briefly for the server to return, but when she failed to show up, we left the cash on the table and decided to leave. As we exited, we heard loud voices coming from behind us. Three employees, including our server, were loudly asserting that we had not paid. Despite our repeated statements that the cash was left on the table, they continued to insist otherwise. The manager claimed he was only responding to what he heard, without checking our table first for verification. It was particularly frustrating that two employees finally went back inside after we had repeatedly said that the money was left on the table, rather than confirming that information before chasing after us. After reflecting on the incident, I returned inside the restaurant to bring awareness to what had transpired. I asked the employee at the door to summon the manager. During our wait, I approached the back where the manager was located. Initially, he only gave his name and was reluctant to provide the names of the other staff involved. We went back and forth about the incident, but I insisted on receiving the names as well. He eventually provided me with that information while we discussed the situation further. I also requested a receipt as well as my change from the balance paid. This entire experience was not only uncomfortable for me but also deeply unsettling for my family. My children and grandchildren felt embarrassed to witness such a public confrontation, and they were shocked that we were treated in this manner, especially after trying to communicate our situation clearly. It was disheartening to see them affected by this ordeal, as they had been looking forward to a pleasant dining experience together. I believe this experience was entirely preventable and reflects poorly on your establishment. Incidents such as these could deter customers from returning, and I feel that immediate attention and disciplinary actions may be necessary to ensure that similar issues do not occur in the future. I had to create my first yelp account just to talk about how infuriating this was. I went in with my family last week and I overheard a manager (seemed to be the only male manager I could see) belittling and just grossly talking down to one of the servers (I think her name was Daun? Dawn?) she looked a little older than the other servers but I spoke with her and she was incredibly sweet and honestly some of the best service we have had at the restaurant. I want to know she and all of your employees are treated better and I better still see her in when I take my family back. I recorded a bit of the interaction once I heard it, and I would hate to have to go public with it. Do better and treat your employees with kindness or people will get fired, and not the victims of abuse. My family is new to Sumter, South Carolina and we decided to use some of our gift cards that were given as gifts for our move. After this visit, my husband advised me to hold off on using any additional Chili's gift cards. Our waitress was pleasant, but even that could not get us back in this restaurant. We ordered two fajitas and a kid's mac & cheese meal: 1. My daughter said the Kraft mac & cheese was cold -- goodness. 2. My husband's fajita meal tasted more like a "BBQ pulled pork" meal and his bell peppers and onions were so large it looked like chopped up vegetables. He was very disappointed with the plating, and the way the meal was prepared (a pile of vegetables topped with a mountain of cheese" in his words. 3. My oldest daughter and I shared a Mushroom Chicken Fajita meal and the vegetables were cut exactly the same. While the chicken was prepared well, I asked for double Spanish rice instead of the black beans, and the rice was BLAND (I repeat bland)! There was absolutely no flavor and the rice was hard like I was given what was scraped from the bottom of the pot and I decided against eating the undercooked, hard rice . I never thought I'd say this, but "I miss Texas so much" and I'm a PROUD SOUTH CAROLINIAN by birth! The Chili's in our last city grilled the food in such a way you would think there was a pit master in the kitchen. Clearly, this is not Texas or a restaurant that is familiar with how to prepare Chili's signature dishes. We'll wait until we travel outside of Sumter before we eat at another franchise restaurant like this. If Chili's keeps it up, it will end up closed like the Golden Coral in this city. read more

I have honestly been coming to Chilis for 20+ years and while they have gotten better at some things others they have not. The chips and salsa and queso has been great for the whole time! I have noticed that some locations don't do fajitas that well as others. As for this location the fajitas could be better, they seemed a little greasy, but the Cadillac add-on is worth the price! This location has always been kept up and clean! Service is typically very good and I can't complain at all. I got the queso here last time I went and I didn't have a lot of beef in it, kinda disappointing really. I would avoid this because for $5.99 it should be better! read more

Had lunch and sat at the bar. Donna is the nicest and sweetest bartender. She keeps a great eye on you as you enjoy your meal. I love the Chili's here and the food is good but if you order a burger, apparently "one size fits all". We went twice and ordered a burger and were never asked about how we would like our burgers cooked. I wasn't too big of a fan about that. I was surprised at the excellent service I got on this night as it was getting late. At times it starts to be a roll of the dice as far as food prep and just people really giving a care. Not the case when it came to Madison. She was a bright spot compared to what I have experienced in many Chilis as of late. Although she was the only one working at the bar this night you would never know as she was very attentive to all customers and constantly checking on when food was ready while serving up drinks. No one was there looking at their watches wanting to know where their food was. My food came out hot and correct which is what you expect how it should come out but a rarity at times these days at particular chains. I just went with the steak nachos and although Chilis has slightly changed them from the way they used to be they were still prepared well and tasty. Overall a good visit on this night. They give you lots of sides to accompany the dish. My only wish is that they had a better beer selection. I was there for happy hour and there were not many choices. Absolutely horrible experience. We walked in and the greater didn't acknowledge us until we said hello, she brought us to a dirty table, didn't give any silverware and just walked away. When our waiter finally graced us with his presence 10 min later, in which he looked disheveled and acted like he didn't know what he was doing, we gave him our drink order in which he told us we would need to wait till he came back with the drinks before we could order our food.... He messed up on my husband's drink (asked for a lemonade and a water, the waiter mixed lemonade and water and gave that to him) He was extremely overwhelmed with a three person order. We waited for over 30 min for our food, though the waiter did stop by and ask if I ordered an avocado burger, which was not my order, and he walked away. When we did get our food, my chicken was PINK. My husbands was over cooked. By the time we got our food we were over it, we looked at our bill and the waiter added a burger they we did not order nor receive. Since my family hasn't arrived from California yet, I didn't have any BBQ this 4th of July weekend. I figured to stop by and grab some ribs over at Chili's. I walked in and was immediately taken to how small the place was. I was promptly seated and ordered a cheese fries appetizer along with a full rack of baby-back ribs. Had a glass of water to go with everything. After a few minutes, my food was brought to me, my main course that is. My ribs came first and I thought they totally forgot about my appetizer. One minute later, the waiter comes back and tells me that they totally forgot about my cheese fries. He then asks me if I want them or not. I told him it would be ok and he promptly tells me that he'll take care of it and that the cheese fries will be free. Not bad. The ribs were huge, typical Chili's affair. Couldn't even finish both racks. Took the rest home. Again, typical Chili's, typical food. Not too shabby but not too exciting either. Least I got free cheese fries and the service was good...albeit slow sometimes. I also noticed the couple sitting ahead of me were complaining about the slow service and the fries too...so I guess it's hit or miss here. read more

Thanks for accommodating our party of 16 on short notice. We were passing through town for a one night stay and we'd received a poor non-welcome at Applebee's, which is right next door. Someone in our party called to see if Chili's could accommodate and they said they'd love too. Tatyana and Taylor were our servers and they provided outstanding service. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! The staff is friendly and ROBBIE is the best waiter. I received my drink right away and the appetizer right after. My family of 4 went on a Saturday night and although busy we were well taken care of. My wife's salmon has never been cooked wrong here! I have never been unsatisfied with my entrée. My kids love it as well. I think Julian has done an excellent job with the training and management of this location. This may be a very small building but I feel as though I get exceptionally good service here and it is always clean. I have noticed that when someone has an issue with something it is handled swiftly and usually by management. I can not say enough good things about this place! read more
