Yubu opened its 4th location on 2023-09-14, in partnership with Myungrang. This is a small restaurant that is mostly takeout-only. The exciting thing is the introduction of new exclusive items, not available at other Yubu locations!
The three new items are:
1. Yubu Rice Dog ($7.99).
2. Yubu Spicy Rice Dog ($7.99).
3. Yugu Fried Triangle Gimbap ($4.99).
I ordered the first two. Unlike the Myungrang Hotdogs, these beef hotdogs are wrapped with seaweed and rice, similar to sushi! There is also cheese in the wrap. The first one uses seasoned white rice. The spicy one uses spicy chicken rice. The dogs then are deep-fried.
You then choose any number of sauces and powdered sprinkles that are available for the Myungrang products. Delicious!
For the Yubu Rice Dog, I chose 3 sauces (Nacho Cheese, Honey Mustard, and Chipotle).
For the Yubu Spicy Rice Dog, I chose 3 sauces (Cheddar Cheese, Mayo, and Sweet Chili) and the Honey Butter powder sprinkle.
I have to come back and try the Yugu Fried Triangle Gimbap.
If you are adventurous, you can also order one of Myungrang's Tteokbokki. I ordered the Original Tteokbokki (small $5.99). Then you can try dipping the Yubu Dog into the Tteokbokki!
The staff are Myungrang employees but are familiar with the Yubu products. During the first two weeks, a Yubu employee will be there to help out.
There is a short counter for 3 people to eat there if needed.
There is no free WiFi. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible, but the space is very tight. There are no customer washrooms. There is paid neighbourhood street parking.
