I stopped by Rooh Coffee on a Saturday morning. The coffee shop has a sign outside to indicate they are located inside Gamerama. Once you enter, the coffee bar is to your right. I opted to grab a cortado to have there (they have a table inside and another table outside). My order was made at a reasonable time and staff were friendly. They even offered me a coffee rewards card (you can buy 4 drinks and get 15% off your 5th one. Buy 9 drinks and your 10th drink is on them!). I randomly browsed the game shop and there were lots and lots of games for purchase! They also have an old school pac man arcade game in the back as well. Coffee wise, my cortado was made well and tasted great (came with latte art as well!). I enjoyed my coffee while soaking in the sun. Overall, a great new addition to the Midtown area. Great place to grab coffee and pastries!

The smoothies are in collaboration with Bolt Smoothies. They also had several pastries on sale as well. City Dance Corps and Cat's Eye Coffee is in a building with several businesses and companies as well, which makes it convenient for the employees to grab a good cup of coffee in the area. I stopped by Cat's Eye Coffee on a Thursday around noon. The staff was friendly. There were already two other customers chatting when I visited. I ordered a cappuccino which was made at a reasonable time. I also noticed the smoothies available, all which sounded delicious. They do use Pilot Coffee Roasters. I sat down to enjoy my cappuccino which was made well. Definitely a good cup of coffee around the Ossington/Dupont area!

It is quite compact with a handful of seating. Some may find this activity distracting. The washrooms are also shared with the dance company. I ordered a croissant that I got warmed in the toaster oven, which was a generous size and was satisfying and crispy. All the pastries and sandwiches are sourced through a partnership with the Petite Thuet bakery. The total cost came to about $4 CAD, which I would consider on par with a downtown cafe, and I felt happy with the quality of the pastry I received. If you are in the Dovercourt area, this cafe is a nice spot to drop by for a little bite and drink.

I stopped by Milk and Cookies on a Thurs afternoon shortly after they opened. The shop was quiet although there were 2 other customers enjoying their food on the patio. After some time I decided to grab a miso peanut butter with apply jam cookie as well as a regular cold brew. Service was friendly and staff were welcoming. I had my cookie and coffee afterwards which was great! The cookie wasn't overly sweet and I could taste the hints of peanut and miso in the cookie (not so much the apply jam). The cold brew was decent and tasty as well. Overall, a nice little spot for milk and cookies in Kensington Market!

The cafe itself, while tiny, is brightly lit from the large windows and offers a wide range of menu items, from their drinks, to baked good like muffins, to energy balls. I got a regular iced latte with almond milk ($5.25 plus $0.50 for the milk alternative). It was not overly sweet and was a great midday pick me up! I've heard great things about their iced sweet latte, so definitely will be coming back to try that. Their scones also looked delicious! Service was quick and the staff members were super friendly. There were some office workers on their lunch break here and some bar stool seating by the window as well.

When I confronted this abusive man and asked why he treated his employees so badly over a minor mistake, he responded by saying, "You're shit, and I don't want you to come back." It was unbelievable to witness this kind of behavior in Toronto, Canada. I understand that mad people can be found everywhere, but his level of customer service was more like what you'd expect in a third-world country, not in Canada. I didn't touch my food and left the place immediately. When an owner treats not only his employees horribly but also his customers, it's obvious that his business is struggling and won't last long, and rightfully so. No wonder the café was nearly empty--who would want to be emotionally abused? Save your money and don't support this restaurant. Let his business die.

I stopped by Savoir Coffee on a Wed afternoon. The street was busy as it leads to BMO field. There were several customers before me and as I was leaving more customers came in. The muffins are so moist and fresh and eye-poppingly cheap for what you get. They've also started serving actual meals that are really tasty. The air-fried chicken sandwhich is glistening and packed (no fillers here!) and the spaghetti and meatball recipe is from Grandma who's Italian (the sauce was chef's kiss tangy). And again, both of these dishes were so well priced for the portion sizes that you get. But at the end of the day, Zoomys is a juice bar. And while it is priced like Bay Street, the juices and smoothies here are 100% fruir no sugar added. And when you take a sip, you can taste that clean freshness to it. Definitely recommend this place. Whether you're looking for a healthy cleanse or hearty meal, Zoomys is a place to visit.
