The small cafe is take out only with no seating available indoors. The space is fully accessible and the perfect spot to grab caffeine or a sweet treat (they got cookies, brownies, and even chocolates!) in the morning or even before heading to a FIFA game. Menu wise, they have your usual espresso based drinks (Americano, cortado, cappuccino, etc.) as well as special drinks like an espresso tonic, the banana matcha cloud, and the bumble (espresso, OJ, and syrup). I stopped by Savoir Coffee on a Wed afternoon. The street was busy as it leads to BMO field. There were several customers before me and as I was leaving more customers came in. I opted to grab a cortado which was made at a reasonable time and tasted great! Staff were friendly. Overall, a great new spot for coffee in the Liberty Village neighourhood!

The pastry selection is limited. Music consists of slow, relaxing tracks that match the café's ambiance, but the volume is a bit too high for conversation or focused work. Service was excellent - very friendly and polite. One staff member asked if the music was too loud and adjusted the volume when I said yes. Later, when I asked for a fork (despite not having ordered food), he kindly found one, washed and dried it in front of me, and handed it over. The washroom was relatively clean, though the handwashing station outside the washroom is cluttered, with items like a fridge and extra tables stored in the area.

I've had better matcha elsewhere but would return to try other drinks and for the ambiance of the cafe! A bit of a hidden gem if you like cute, cozy cafes.

City Dance Corps and Cat's Eye Coffee is in a building with several businesses and companies as well, which makes it convenient for the employees to grab a good cup of coffee in the area. I stopped by Cat's Eye Coffee on a Thursday around noon. The staff was friendly. There were already two other customers chatting when I visited. I ordered a cappuccino which was made at a reasonable time. I also noticed the smoothies available, all which sounded delicious. They do use Pilot Coffee Roasters. I sat down to enjoy my cappuccino which was made well. Definitely a good cup of coffee around the Ossington/Dupont area!

It is quite compact with a handful of seating. Some may find this activity distracting. The washrooms are also shared with the dance company. I ordered a croissant that I got warmed in the toaster oven, which was a generous size and was satisfying and crispy. All the pastries and sandwiches are sourced through a partnership with the Petite Thuet bakery. The total cost came to about $4 CAD, which I would consider on par with a downtown cafe, and I felt happy with the quality of the pastry I received. If you are in the Dovercourt area, this cafe is a nice spot to drop by for a little bite and drink.

After some time I decided to grab a miso peanut butter with apply jam cookie as well as a regular cold brew. Service was friendly and staff were welcoming. I had my cookie and coffee afterwards which was great! The cookie wasn't overly sweet and I could taste the hints of peanut and miso in the cookie (not so much the apply jam). The cafe itself, while tiny, is brightly lit from the large windows and offers a wide range of menu items, from their drinks, to baked good like muffins, to energy balls. I got a regular iced latte with almond milk ($5.25 plus $0.50 for the milk alternative). It was not overly sweet and was a great midday pick me up! I've heard great things about their iced sweet latte, so definitely will be coming back to try that. Their scones also looked delicious! Service was quick and the staff members were super friendly. There were some office workers on their lunch break here and some bar stool seating by the window as well.

The cafe was half busy where there were some people working, some people chatting with others, and some just enjoying their beverages alone. Glancing at the big display of baked goods (everything looked so tasty!) and empanadas, I opted to grab a beef jalapeno empanada and a single shot cortado (love that they have the option of just a single shot!). Staff were friendly and my empanada was heated up quickly. Staff were nice enough to bring me my empanada to my table once it was ready. My cortado tasted great and my empanada came wide a side of pico de gallo which was nice, It was stuffed with shredded beef and the jalapenos gave it a nice kick. It was a good sized snack portion. After finishing my items I placed my dirty dishes in a bin close to the back of the room. Overall, a great coffee shop in the Davenport and Ossington area!

So I love matcha. I used to go to Tsujiri all the time and it was my favourite. Then three things…read morehappened: they closed the Tsujiri on Yonge Street near Bloor, I was no longer able to have sweetened drinks and I moved. I've tried so many unsweetened matcha lattes across the city at this point and they always just taste like milk or cream, and just look beautifully grassy green with no matcha taste. However the matcha latte (I've been getting iced, no surprise) at Crossroad is great! You can taste the matcha and they have a HUGE selection of milk and cream options. Staff is super friendly but sometimes there is a language barrier you have to work through. No air conditioning so this is a pick up joint only at this point. Definitely will be back often!
