I've never ordered in person and always did it thru Skip or Uber so I can't comment on the actual service like other reviewers. Most Canadians have exposure to Caribbean food thru Jamaican places, which are known for bringing in the heat. Not all the islands cook the same. As someone who grew up in Barbados, I find that Randi's chicken/potato rotis are more similar to ours - not much spiciness and a hint of sweetness in the curry. So to me, the rotis were bomb! The jerk chicken with rice and peas came with the traditional sweet coleslaw. Once again, it was perfect for me as someone who cannot handle the heat of jerk. Lastly, the doubles were a dream - I would have preferred more filling though.

When my daughter overeats at a restaurant because it's so good... you know it's good!!! I grew up in Trini food and while traveling to Toronto with my daughter, I knew I needed to find some good eats. I happened upon Randy'a and I was NOT disappointed! I got a veggie roti while my daughter ordered a chicken curry and rice. My heart and bully were FULL. I noticed on their sign that they sold roti skins, so of course I had to purchase a ton to bring back to Chicago!!! Very affordable and delicious roti skins (my Trinidadian mom approved). Their food is not only delicious but extremely affordable!!! Please check them out!

Despite the less-than-enthusiastic reviews from my coworkers, I still had to try this place for myself. It's the only Caribbean restaurant within a few minutes walk from my office. Convenient. Chef Randy himself was at the counter taking orders and he pointed out the special of the day which was a goat roti for 7.99. I also ordered 2 doubles (5.00) for my coworkers to sample. First impressions: the portion seemed small. The roti and doubles both seemed to be a little light on the filling (see photos). They also both tasted a bit sweet. Sugar? I'm not used to these items being sweet. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the taste, portions, and value. Perhaps I should have listened to my colleagues.

Stopped in for a quick meal and was craving a roti. They take orders at the counter. The staffed seem busy with Uber Eats orders. It took a bit of time to take my order. I ordered a boneless chicken roti without potatoes. It didn't take long, and they made my ordered. First thing they should take the time and tidy up a little. The tables were a little sticky and had napkins stuck on the tables. Not overly dirty but, someone could come by and straighten up a little. Also, the napkins given were so thin. Eating roti can be messy. It doesn't make sense to use some cheap flimsy napkins. The Roti was okay. The filling had good flavor however, they included potatoes. Which annoying because it takes up most of the Roti. This is the reason I do not like potatoes in my Roti. I could of returned it but, I didn't want to wait and the potatoes are not a deal breaker. The Roti at Randy's is okay. I would return if they have better service and straighten up the place and clean the tables. It really just seems like an outlet for Uber Eats and Door Dash. They don't put much effort into the guest's eating inside.

Place is too frustrating and inconsistent. Stood in line 29 min; I wish I left. If it wasn't the worlds slowest service I'd have asked for $$$ back. Didn't even get order right to boot.... 29 min!? People were leaving, asking what time they are open til.... And they didn't know but spent 2 minutes talking about how they didn't know. I'm done.

The popular Randy's food truck seen parked in front of most lit events has a store location. And it is conveniently located close by. Their famous doubles is freshly made in front of you. I tried their jerk chicken poutine for the first time but it didn't live up the rest of their menu. My go to will always be the bake and shark. It never fails to impress

Tried 3 different items and thoroughly enjoyed all of them! 1. Stuffed goat curry roti: nice soft roti, curry was not bad. Overall, not the most amazing or best stuffed roti I've had (for background my family is Indian and I know this isn't an Indian place...). Can't say much more because I only sampled off my friend 2. Oxtail curry - delicious! First time having oxtail. I love the soft tendon around the tender meat. The meat to rice ratio was perfect! Lots of meat and sauce. The rice was not drowning in sauce and was definitely not dry at all. The coleslaw was among the best I've had. It was spicy, crunchy, fresh, and had a lot of flavour. The portion was so small though :'( 1 star lost because not only was the side/veggies small but the overall plate. Even after eating the main and half a double, I was still hungry. 3. Veggie double - small but very reasonably priced imo when compared to a taco that costs much more. The bread is so fresh and the curry was so flavourful. I also dislike how the dine-in food is served on paper plates. It is very wasteful and the plate does get quick soggy from the curry. Plastic cutlery is also used and I'm not sure if they have a recycling bin on site. Cups for water are also not given. Overall, I would come back and also reccomend the food to others for takeout.

Randy's Roti now has a standalone store oppisite the Toronto Reference Library. Service was great, Portion size was good and the pepper was hot . Really filling on a day when your hungry.

That's amazing; I love meeting hard working and ambitious individuals like this! During the Mississauga Waterfront Festival, I had the pleasure of meeting Leo and the team after being extremely intrigued by the name 'ribbon fries' - I was NOT disappointed. They are like the tornado potato fries (which they also offer) but they are not on a stick, and on a plate, they look simply delicious. Seriously, we had the plate on our table for less than a minute before a passerby demanded to know what it was and went to order it right away. I bit into it, expecting it to taste like regular ol' chippy things, but to my delight, these were the freshest potatoes EVER! They were also perfectly salted. Omnomnom. The truck is a bit plain and could definitely use better marketing to sell these amazing fries and poutines. I think they're thinking of revamping it to draw in da crowdz - he also recently got a new TV that broadcasts pics of the food offered! Steppin' up the game! Definitely hit this truck up if you happen to spot it at a festival!

The husband and wife team manning the truck were so adorable and so friendly, I felt like I was family! The food offerings here were not your over the top stereotypical food truck eats, instead they focused on doing classic menu items (hamburgers, sausages, hot dogs, fries, poutine, etc) I was only looking for a snack and when I walked up so when I asked for their personal recommendations they suggested that I go with their poutine. The portion of poutine was massive and the cheese curds were perfectly mixed throughout (which is actually an accomplishment since so many places just top their fries with cheese). The best was the gravy; hot, thick (without lump) and a great salty flavour! IT's hard to know where I'll bump into these guys again but I'm interested to try their other offerings next time I see them Eatcrest Out

The water stations provided by the event host had a long line and not wanting to wait I decided to purchase a few water bottles for my friends and I because we were all very dehydrated. I went to this food truck because it had the shortest line. And of course there was a reason why. When it came to my turn to order, I asked for 3 bottles of water. The employee was very rude and said "you want water you have to buy food. No food, no water" I asked why can't I just buy the bottle waters and he said "Water is for customers only, if you're not ordering, leave" But if I'm buying water at $5.50 does that not make me a customer? I'm still spending money at the business and paying $5.50 for 1 bottle of water!! Being desperate, I order 2 tacos for $12.42, and asked for 3 waters. Again, the employee so rudely said "Only 1 bottle, if you want more you have to order more tacos" .. I was in disbelief. I paid $17.92 for 2 crappy and dried, barely any sauce chicken tacos.. all for 1 bottle of water. Had the food tasted better, maybe I wouldn't be as upset. But chewing the chicken was like rubbing sand against my mouth. I am telling this story not because I want to damage the business by any means, I like supporting small businesses when I can, but when a business is not honest, ethical or morally right I feel like I should speak up. Needless to say, I will not support this business and do not recommend anyone to support such an inhumane and unethical business. I have attached photos of how they responded to my Facebook review. As you can see it doesn't really make sense that they only had 2 cases of water. This was simply just a money grab opportunity.
