I Highly recommend this Spa. The masseuses are all excellent. I am an amateur athlete who works out 1-4 hours per day and massage is an important part of my training and recovery. I especially like Amanda. I have had at least one massage per week over the last 25 years at many different spas: 4 & 5-star hotels, resorts, professional in-home, etc., and Amanda is definitely in the top 1%! I usually get the 90 minute massage combo with hot stones. It's only $85! If you go to a hotel spa this would easily run you from $150-$250 and it won't compare to what you get here. It is a true bargain. The complaints: Regarding the advertised $39 combo massages: the complaints are the result of new spa customers with little experience. This advertisement is used by most small spa businesses to get customers. If you clarify what you get for the price before the treatment starts, you will not have any such problems. If you want truly great service, you have to pay for it. Draping: Asian masseuses do not drape like American masseuses!! They are not Victorian prudes and have no trouble with the human body. They see naked bodies all day long, every day for years. Nakedness does not equal sensuality, especially to the therapists! The American masseuses I have been to drape way too much and are unable to attend to the whole body as they should. I don't even waste my time using them anymore as I am always disappointed. If you are too shy or prudish about your own body, then simply tell the therapist what areas of your body to work on and which ones to avoid, or just go to an American spa. No English: Many of these masseuses are new immigrants and struggle with English. Get over it! Try speaking in Mandarin and you will have much more patience. If you want a good English speaker, then just request it. Different Therapists: Yes, there are turnovers in staff as with any business: restaurants, house cleaners, the list goes on. To find someone really great you will have to try quite a few therapists. If it's horrible and you can't stand it, then tell them politely to stop and speak with the manager. They will get you someone else and/or refund your money. I have had to do this a few times. If you want a specific person, then call ahead to request them. Normally, the therapists are on a rotational basis for walk-ins. Walking in and then requesting a specific person puts them in an uncomfortable position. Cramped rooms: The costs are kept low by the space these businesses rent. If you want nice, big, plushy rooms, then try a 5-star hotel and pay 2-3 times as much. By the way, the tables upon which you lay are basically all the same size and thus if you are in a small room it is only the therapist's problem and not yours. They seem to have no trouble with it. All in all, Yu Spa has great and experienced therapists. It's the only place in this area I will go to. read more

Beautiful environment. Amazing massage. Yu Spa was a delight. I enjoy feeling a massage a little deeper due to a previous injury in my back and neuropathy in my feet and legs. Yu Spa did an excellent job balancing a deep tissue massage for my comfort level. Yu Spa has trained their velvet hands beauty's the art of and controlled pressure right where I need it for my body. The masseuse asked at the beginning and continued to check whether she should increase or decrease the pressure for me and was it okay for me which I appreciated. I have been going to Yu Spa in Palm Desert CA, for several months and have never been disappointed. It is a very clean and comfortable environment and the staff is wonderful. Everyone of the staff is very competent and I already have several visits scheduled. This place is a hidden gem! Yu Spa masseuses with their magic hands gave me an amazing massage at a fair price. The staff is incredible at understanding my past injuries and working out the kinks to relieve my pain. Yu Spa is such a kind and healing place. They helped relax my anxiety. I had a 90 min appointment this morning with Angel, "Best Massage I ever had and I've had hundreds over the past 20 years!" I highly recommend her! I had a neck injury and suffer from chronic pain. She is very professional and a very nice lady with a beatiful soul! She knows how to apply the right amount of pressure and had a very unique massage technique! She knows how to find and take out the knots which is the root cause of my pain. I've probably had over 200 massage therapists over the years because of my chronic pain, Angel is diffently one of the best! Theres nothing worse then putting out money for a massage that didn't help! In this case I got my money's worth and then some! I should of given her a bigger tip! I've had other massage therapist there to and they are very good also! Very clean and safe environment, they take the Virus seriously, the therapist wear mask and keep the place really clean! This spa is tucked away and nicely situated next to one of the best health restaurants and store! You know the feeling you get when you start a massage and you say, " I want to book more time?" I did. Amanda was fantastic and she could spot my injuries without me informing her of what I needed. Very good price and I added a scrub and hot stone. So bad, so so bad. She didn't use oil or lotion so it was painful. I had to ask for lotion or oil. She yelled at me to turn over and so on. The lights were on so bright the entire time, the massage was terrible, she had my body thrashing all over the place. Nothing relaxing about this massage, she didn't know what she was doing and was maybe fighting with the other masseuse. I couldn't understand what she was saying but she was talking to the other girl a lot which sounded mad. Never coming back. Bad massage, bad service and attitude. I was very impressed with this place today. I walked right in without an appointment was able to get a massage without delay. My masseuse Ana gave the best deep tissue massage I've ever had. She knew right away where the knots in my shoulders were and worked them with ferocity. I feel so much better right now! I carry all my stress in my shoulders and this deep tissue massage was so good. She was very professional through out the massage and even provided hot stones and a foot massage for no extra cost. Amanda is friendly, professional and makes you feel at home immediately. The place is usually busy so I'm not always able to book her, but the other massage therapists are more than qualified. A few months back, Amanda gave the Spa a makeover, and you would be doing yourself a disservice by not paying them a visit and spending an hour or two with Amanda. We came across Yu Spa on Yelp and decided to take a chance and see if we could get a same day appointment. They were able to fit us in. We both opted for the 60min body scrub which includes a 30min massage. They set us up in the same room, which we preferred. Anna and Coco were amazing and so sweet. Very disappointed with my experience at Yu Spa. The customer service was terrible, no one seemed to care about helping or fixing the issue with my appointment. The manager wasn't even there to talk about it when I asked. On top of that, the place wasn't very clean, which made the whole experience even worse. Maybe the best massage I've ever had. Mary was phenomenal; she hit every spot, and all with perfect pressure. These therapists are amazing. It is so tranquil and nice. One therapist went straight to an area on my back that was hurting me. I did not tell her it was bothering me, she just felt intuitively and went straight to that area. I asked how she knew and she replied she had years of experience and developed a sense.
