I got a couple's massage, and they allow you to book any two massages and have them in a room together. So one of the issues was partially our own fault, because we realized we didn't feel comfortable speaking up and asking for changes during the massage with so many people in the room. However, we were asked when we came in if we had particular areas we wanted focused on. We both said which areas, but felt that those areas barely got any attention. My mid back, which I had asked for focus on, got the least out of any area of my body, and I left with my main sore area hurting as badly as before. I did get a hot stone add-on, and that may have been part of the problem. It felt like my massage was a rehearsed process rather than tailored to me and what I needed. Both of us also experienced the therapists using elbows on bony protrusions in our bodies. Elbows were jabbed into our spines, and for me also a ton of the elbow sliding down my back and landing very hard on the top of my pelvis on my lower back. It hurt pretty badly, and I had bruising there the next day. I was tensing up a lot and not breathing, but it wasn't noticed. My boyfriend had deep tissue, but also felt that it was more painful because of elbows on his bones than it was actually getting deep into muscle tissue. Also on the plus side though, both therapists were very nice and professional. It just felt more like there is a specific rehearsed way of doing it than intuitive or tailored to the individual.

Shari would check in with me and ask if I preferred deeper pressure which I appreciated. The staff were so welcoming, I was offered water as soon as I arrived; which was very nice especially in this summer heat. The kind staff members made my first time very comfortable. I was able to call and get my massage service as soon as they opened! Super lucky I was able to booked same day. The facility is clean, adorable, comfortable, and tons of parking spots! It was very easy to find the building. If you are a local or just here on a vacation, you need to come check this spa out! Especially for summer promotions!

I'm so confused. I visited here two months ago and received a traditional Swedish massage that was…read morefantastic. That first visit I was greeted and given paperwork to complete and was asked about problem areas and areas of focus. My therapist was communicative and was thorough in her technique. This time it was a different staff, no paperwork, no questioning, and only a quick greeting. I had an evening appointment so I assumed staff wanted to attend quickly before closing. I entered the room and it was very neat and clean however, I noticed a paper towel covering the headrest, which is not typical for a higher end spa. I was left to undress and get onto the table. My massage therapist began working with little to no communication only asking once if I wanted more pressure. This was NOT your typical Swedish massage. There was a lot of basic motion and a couple of times the therapist straddled herself over my backside on the table - I'm guessing for leverage?? Quite frankly, I feel as if I wasted my money - I could've gone down the street to a different establishment for the same level of massage and saved $100. This is the total opposite experience and the quality of the massage did not match the rate compared to the first time I was here. I kept hoping it would get better but it did not. When I rolled over toward the end of the massage I saw that the door to my room was ajar the entire time I was in there and I could see out into the hallway so I know people could see me as they walked past. It s very clean, organized and staff is friendly and the halo salt therapy is cool. But based on this experience I will not be returning. Maybe something has changed in the last month or so? But paying over $200 for a 90 minute massage will not be happening again for me at this establishment.

And than there is a first red flag - the masseuse requested full payment up front. A guess , she wants to get paid regardless of how you feel about the service. After about 10 minutes of my massage the horror begins. Very loud "ding dong" sound after new clients come to waiting room. Linda drops everything and runs out to talk to them. Comes back after few minutes and continue her massage. Few minutes later another loud "ding dong" and new people come in. Again, Linda drops everything and runs out to talk to them. Than comes back without saying anything and continue with her work. Than after few minutes the same things happened. Loud "ding dong" and new people come in. This happened several times during my session. At one point I was so irritated that I wanted to leave. I told her, this supposed to be relaxing session. But now I am so frustrated with all this. She apologized and asked me to come down and let her finish the massage. But the last movements of my therapist were more like "poking" dead animals to see if they are alive. Terrible. Than she said - finished. When I was leaving she said "you are not going to give me a tip ?" I gave her $10 and left. Than, when I was already in my car I looked at my watch and it was 3:05pm but I started my massage at 2:15pm. so I realized on top of all these "ding dongs" runs away she cut my session off at the end by at least 10 minutes. That made me even more frustrated. Well, I feel like I took it for the team so you don't have to waste your money and feel the way I did. The place is located between two restaurants and another Spa and this will guarantee lots of walking traffic and lots of"ding dong" sessions. Take my advice- Stay away from this place. There is plenty of decent massage places around

I went out here for a married couples retreat and stayed at the Embassy so when I searched massage places, Old town massage popped up. My husband and I booked for a 90min massage. I got Annie and sorry to say shes not good. Her movements were so fast that it didnt touch any of the points in my body. (Idk why they would massage you so fast, 90 or 60min is timed its not like they can get it done faster by moving faster.) But anyway, when they rub you down to wipe away the oil on your body the towel is hella rough. I was hoping my husband's massage would be better than mine but NOPE. he said he could've sworn the lady fell asleep a couple of times while massaging him. Worst part of it was when we went to pay, there is a $3 charge for $100 transaction so they charged me $6 for $200. I tip the ladies $20 but Annie was like its 20% tip so it should be $40. I just rolled my eyes and tip them $40. Ridiculous!! Trust me im a generous tipper. But I tip accordingly to the service I receive.

I handed her $60 when I entered and was not given change but no big deal because I was planning to give more at the end for the tip. When the hour ended, she stated that I needed to give $20 more because there was a mandatory $25 tip... When I left the small room, I looked around to see if there was any sign stating that. She told me "customers just know". I declined paying almost 50% tip. The tip I wanted to pay was $15 so that is what I paid. There was one other staff in the entrance area and it was very awkward. I've been to places that recommend a tip amount, some Chinese foot massage places I've used do have a mandatory tip amount displayed but usually it is small and just ensuring people aren't creeps and leave $0 on already extremely low prices.
