I went to La Quinta for the long Memorial Day weekend to play golf, but unfortunately tweaked my back on the first day. When I got to my hotel, I searched for a massage place and luckily found Old Town Massage. I booked a session with Annie, and wow -- I couldn't believe how much better I felt the next day! I told her to do whatever she had to do to fix me, and she really delivered. The massage was definitely intense (as I requested), and I did wake up a bit sore -- but it was a good sore. Most importantly, I was able to play golf the next day like nothing had ever happened. Annie is incredibly skilled and clearly has a gift. I live in LA but I'm already planning to go back just to see her again. Highly recommend if you're in the area and need serious bodywork or just an amazing massage! read more

Worst massage ever!!! Sorry to say but it was. I've been everywhere from hole in the wall places to glen ivy to Burke Williams. I went out here for a married couples retreat and stayed at the Embassy so when I searched massage places, Old town massage popped up. My husband and I booked for a 90min massage. I got Annie and sorry to say shes not good. Her movements were so fast that it didnt touch any of the points in my body. (Idk why they would massage you so fast, 90 or 60min is timed its not like they can get it done faster by moving faster.) But anyway, when they rub you down to wipe away the oil on your body the towel is hella rough. I was hoping my husband's massage would be better than mine but NOPE. he said he could've sworn the lady fell asleep a couple of times while massaging him. Worst part of it was when we went to pay, there is a $3 charge for $100 transaction so they charged me $6 for $200. I tip the ladies $20 but Annie was like its 20% tip so it should be $40. I just rolled my eyes and tip them $40. Ridiculous!! Trust me im a generous tipper. But I tip accordingly to the service I receive. read more

The person treating me was not attentive, as if they couldn't u destined what I was requesting. I was to pay in advance and there's a credit card fee so if you want to tip later which I did, you have to deal with that again or bring cash. read more

Went here due to recent reviews and I'm bummed I did . My masseuse did the same three moves over and over and it was really boring and not very relaxing. She also didn't tell me of the credit card fee until after running the card. The worst part was the sheets aren't being fully turned over. When I went to move the sheet there was a lot of body hair from a previous client. read more

Annie was amazing! Great deep tissue massage! I'm very picky about massage, but I will definitely go back!

Great massage in La Quinta. You can't beat a 90 min massage for $100! If you don't pay in cash, they do add a $3 surcharge for using a credit card. read more

I left so perplexed and insulted by my masseuse after what I thought was a great massage. I called ahead asking for a masseuse with extremely firm pressure for a deep tissue and the receptionist told me it was $90 for 90 minutes. During the massage Lydia asked me how the pressure was and I asked her to go firmer. I was having some psoas tightness and asked if she could give me a stomach massage which she was equipped to do, (which is rare). Overall she combined some Thai massage techniques with traditional deep tissue and I felt great afterwards. Checking out, however, ruined the experience for me and I will not be retuning. She charged me $100 for the massage and when I reminded her what I was quoted, she started spinning a story that because she had to use more pressure the massage costed more. 1) She failed to mention this during the massage and 2) if I was a man would she have pulled the same hoax? I specifically called in advance requesting hard pressure; she had plenty of opportunities to share any "caveats" to the rates. I read a similar review before going, and was optimistic it was a fluke. On top of this, she had the audacity to lecture me about my 20% tip.. claiming I should have given her more since she used more pressure. Read the room Lydia. Terrible customer service. Of the hundreds of massages I've gotten around the world I've never heard so much crap from a professional. Beyond that experience, the place was tidy, but the room was freezing. I asked her to turn the fan off and she said no since she was hot. As she turned me over I noticed the door had been wide open the entire massage which is a complete invasion of my privacy. Lots of cons, but great massage objectively. But yeah- hard pass. read more

The massage was amazing! The person massaging me was so kind, caring, professional! I feel great after and would definitely come back. She accommodated me and my husband in the same room last minute, and he enjoyed every minute of it. I typically have back issues, and this massage felt so relieving. read more

Excellent work and wow my back and sciatica appreciated the work! Pricing was excellent.

Okay not to sound like one of those, but I have had massages all over the world as my partner requires me to relax which I appreciate. YELP short answer, yes no doubt if you need deep tissue or relaxing muscle massage I have never had better, ever, anywhere. Location: old town La Quinta upstairs. Lots,of parking options not an issue. Buildout: very nice as it is purposefully done, quiet, and correct. Masseuse: amazing 90 minutes of rapid muscle massage and stretching. For me more relaxing and it was the best. Comfort level: very professional and perfect in my session, I will be back. Value: yes but make a reservation and enjoy. I can't say enough as we have had many overpriced fancy treatments over the years, this was beyond that as it was fairly priced and better than most. What can I say but you need to visit, big fan we will be back weekly or monthly. read more

Old Town Massage - A little hard to find but perfect location. - Massage Therapy Near Me - La Quinta, California

I received a 90 minute massage for $100. I repeat 90 minute massage for $100. It was one of the best massages I've had in my life. Vicki was amazing. I needed deep tissue and she delivered. She walked on me, hot stoned me, and worked on some some very deep knotted up muscles. I felt like a new person when I left. It's not a fancy spa, but it was peaceful and clean. I 100% recommend it, and I will be back anytime I'm in Palm Springs. read more

The good: The massage itself. The masseuse had a very intuitive touch. It was almost a sports massage/ semi-chiropractic (thai massage) The bad: The prices on their site aren't updated. 30 mins for $50, not $30. They have a strange habit of leaving the door open... Weird as far as privacy goes as well as letting light and noise in. The space is decorated a bit odd and sparse. Felt like an office space/ missing that "zen" feel. At the end of the day I came for a massage and got a good one but the little things really do count and that's where they were lacking. read more

Wife and I went and got the 90 min massage. If you like elbows scraping your back. This is your place. Happened to both of us in different rooms. We left 30 min early. read more

I love this place! I go regularly. If you enjoy gentle rubbing, they will do that. If you want aggressive deep tissue, they will do that. They will climb on the table and use their elbows and feet, if you like it that way. If you want them to focus on or avoid an area, they will. You just have to tell them in advance what you want. The place is small, very clean and not fancy. I do not like a fancy spa because I find the staff can be snobby and I never use all of the fancy amenities (locker room, jacuzzi, etc.) This place just has a waiting room and a few treatments rooms. I find the staff very pleasant, accommodating and Talented. And the reasonable prices can't be beat! read more

Great massage. Annie was fantastic. Really listened to my aches and pains and was an excellent therapist. Very nice person and truly knows body work. Will go back again ! Great treatment. read more

Just 30 minutes of pure relaxation makes for a great day. We've been going here for many years and every massage has been thoroughly enjoyed. 60 minutes will spoil you even more. Nothing fancy here just what's needed for the massage. read more

Another perfect experience at OTM. Lydia was phenomenal. See you again next year! Thanks :)

I have been coming here for two years, seeing Lydia. Her massages are good - strong and relaxing. The last two times I called, made an appointment WITH LYDIA, and both times I got there to find out she wasn't there. The first time, I was told they called Lydia but she was on vacation. OK, things happen. I didn't like the person who took Lydia's place: sharp fingernails, and she wore a bangle that kept making noise. The next time I emphasized and confirmed I was making an appointment with Lydia. I explained what happened last time. I was assured, "Yes, Lydia." I'll be damned but I got there an no Lydia. I got the same person. Same line: we called her and she's on vacation. I asked when she is expected back and she told me "Maybe November." Wait, let me get this straight: she's gone until November but you are still making appointments for her and telling me you "called" her? I reminded her she had my phone number - she could have called to let me know Lydia wasn't available. (As in really unavailable - in vacation for 3 months.) It was incredibly shady and I felt played. It was so upsetting I nearly left. But I have chronic neck pain so I needed the massage. I'm a good, regular client. And very generous tipper. I will look for another place that doesn't treat their clients with deceit. read more

I always end up here when I need a last minute massage. It's very clean and a well run business. The staff is sweet and friendly and I love how they use hot stones though out the massage. I also like that they always manage to squeeze you in last minute I think they must have additional staff they can call in. read more

Went here 2 times with my husband. Massages are acceptable but the environment is not private. But the BIG PROBLEM with this place is that there's a lady there that demanded a bigger tip from my husband. The total was $140 so he gave her $170 cash ($30 tip). She said "not enough" and grabbed his $100 bill that was in his hand and left the room and returned with 5 $20 bills. She layed them out and grabbed 2 $20 bills and said "this is tip ok". My husband was so shocked and he didn't want to embarrass me and said nothing until we left. We will never return. I noticed another reviewer had a similar experience. Shame on you Old Town Massage! read more

Just got the BEST massage with Mary. I've paid more for inferior massage services. Don't let the basic room set up fool you, it's a great experience with a reasonable price tag. I'll be back soon!!!! read more

Hidden gem in the Cove! Came in like a pretzel and walked out like a rockstar ready to go on stage. Great service and fair prices. Win-win!

I've been here twice now and both times I have felt like I'm somehow burdening them by being there. They are honestly not even nice. The massage is okay, but it's hard to get comfortable when you don't even feel welcome. read more

I came to this establishment three weeks ago and received this card for after 10 visits I get a free massage. I come again today and Vickie tells me I am new and that I can no longer use that card. Very suspect that only after three weeks they don't use the card and she says I am new when I came three weeks ago and I have the card with her name on it! She was the one that gave me the massage and the card the first time I came to this location. I can't continue doing business with a place that does not honor their promotions and changes the policy each time I attend. It does say subject to change without notice, but really? It seems to me this is more of a ploy. read more

Great massage at a great price! I'll definitely go back again and again. It was easy to just walk in.

Tried to call and book a massage, apparently no one speaks English there.

Man!!! I have found my place finally! Vicky takes such good care of me and I try to get in to see her about once a week. I have stenosis and degenerative disc and joint disorder, causing major pain and I leave here EVERYTIME feeling human again. I have brought my sisters (who use other masseurs) and we are always so happy. Thank you so much, ladies! Prices are super reasonable too. My far the best place in the valley read more

Not good. I told the lady that I had neck and lower back pain and she didn't even ever touch my lower back, and I kept looking because she would start and stop massaging every few minutes, and it looked like she was falling asleep! Omg!!! Definitely would not return here. read more

Great massage and the price is great too. I will be coming back every time I'm in town.

Stayed in downtown La Quinta for Coachella weekend. I was so sore from being at the festival on Friday and Saturday and needed a massage. This was my first massage ever, and it did not disappoint. The staff was very nice and the overall experience was great. I had a 30 minute Swedish massage with hot stones. It was just what I needed. I was told to have a 60 minute, but I have too much energy to lay there for that long, so the 30 min was perfect for me. read more

What a treat just like the reviews said! Had a couples 90 minute massage with hot stones. Mary worked on my husband and Micki on me.
