TLDR If you value authentic Thai massage, Oriental Thai Massage delivers an exceptional experience. Treated with the right mindset, it becomes a true place of healing. Full Review I arrived at Oriental Thai carrying a stack of injuries and stress from packing, remodeling, and moving--plus a recent bicycle accident where a car had clipped me. I wasn't sleeping well and felt like a wreck. I knew it would take a few sessions to unwind everything. The first visit broke up a lot of stiffness. I stretched beforehand to get the most out of it, and during the massage I focused on deep breathing to stay present and help oxygenate the tissue. By the end, I could move more freely. I returned three days later. My joints felt better almost immediately, and during this session the masseur released some of the deeper trauma stored in my tissues. I found myself crying a bit--an emotional release I didn't realize I needed. Afterward, my mind felt clear for the first time in weeks, no longer clouded by constant pain and stress. Oriental Thai Massage becomes a house of healing when you prepare yourself, stay aware of what your body is telling you, and let the process work. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. read more

I get a lot of massages because I have arthritis, My friend went here and told me to go, I went but did not get the person she said was good. They were very nice but there was no communication with massage therapist. They did give me $10 off but I just wanted a good massage. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised entering oriental Thai massage! I had requested two appointments at 3 PM and was scheduled for 530 the same day. When walking through the door, I instantly knew this was gonna be a great place. It i has a very relaxing atmosphere, low lights, very tropical feeling. It is extremely clean. We were bet by the manager and welcomed very warmly. We instantly knew we had found a gem! My massage provider suggested I have a combination massage which is partly Thai massage with sweetest massage. This was absolutely one of the best massages I ever had. We will definitely be back. It is extremely clean and feels very safe. I would highly recommend oriental Thai massage. Thank you so much for a beautiful evening. read more

I dare say, best Thai massage ever! Lily is a healer. I will be back again. Pricing is reasonable too.

We made reservations before driving from Los Angeles and we were glad that we did. My friend and I needed some unwinding after a hard week at work. After looking through yelp, we found good reviews in about this place and they deserve those GREAT reviews. Lilly accommodates us with our reservations. When I requested for a Thai massage and kid you not they deliver an authentic Thai massage. Reminds me of my trip in Thailand. I got stretched, deep massaged that untangled the knotts on my neck and shoulders, and honestly got the tension out of my body. Even when she was stepping on me, she simply knows what she was doing. If you are in this area, you really have to check them out. Its the best Thai massage out of Thailand 100%. I would honestly go back to Oriental Thai Massage when I visit Palm Springs again. read more

My partner and I just went to the Oriental Thai Massage and had amazing massages! My massage therapist was Lily and she was super friendly, intuitive, and very strong. The place is nice, clean, and very tranquil. I have spent much more in the past and have been very disappointed. Their massages are a bargain from my point of view. I highly recommend this unique spot in the desert! read more

My husband and I had massages on February 18, 2025. It was hands down the best massage we have ever had. The massage therapist was knowledgeable and instinctively knew what would work and what wouldn't on our body type. Location is in a small strip center but has a good vibe and is super clean. We will definitely be back when we come back to Palm Desert. read more

Very nice facility. Doors, not curtains, on the treatment rooms offer greater privacy. My massage therapist, Ivy, was excellent. I got the 1 hour Thai massage which did a great deal to loosen my very tight muscles. I will go again. The only downside is that 1 hour sessions seem to be their lowest. read more

Excellent massages. Clean and I felt very comfortable. I had a shoulder out of place. Cha Cha put it back in place that I had been dealing with for years. read more

Returned today to "Oriental Thai Massage" after being away for over a year from Palm Desert due to the pandemic. . Although the location has changed, the setting and service still remains excellent. I felt like I was getting a work out today as ChaCha worked and stretched just about every muscle in my body. Once off the table I have to admit, I felt good . I still highly recommend Oriental Thai Massage, Cha Cha and her staff are wonderful. (See original review below) ******* Had my first 90 minute Thai deep tissue massage today with Chacha. The space was very clean and welcoming. The massage was great as was the needed stretching that went with it. Chacha focused on several of my o problem areas. I definitely felt a difference when I walked out. Highly recommend. read more

Oriental Thai Massage - Massage Near Me - Palm Desert, California

In my opinion, this is the best massage place in the desert. Time and time again, they deliver exceptional service. If you haven't experienced a true Thai massage, you're missing out. They take the time to help you relax and work out any stress or knots. I recently visited after playing too much golf, and my back was aching. The staff took their time to work out the pain, and I was feeling great the next day! The rooms are always clean, and every therapist ensures you're well taken care of. Highly recommend! read more

Made an appointment, showed up, there was some confusion, as apparently someone cancelled an appointment with Natty. Whoever didn't keep their appointment, I want to thank you. I have been getting weekly massages for a few decades, and I have to say, Natty is definitely one of the best I have ever had. ( I don't mind some pain to fix what ails me). A little pricier then most other shops in the area, but surely worth it as she really worked hard. I am a big guy and she is a tiny thing, but packs some serious strength and knowledge. Thanks Natty, I will see you again soon. read more

5 stars all around! Wendy is the best! Professional with great strong smooth hands! Best Thai Massage Place in Palm Dessert hand down! Definitely coming back soon! These guys are the best! Thank you! read more

I used to work at a spa where regular massages were part of the perks of working there. I never had as a good a massage as I receive here! The therapists are friendly and respectful. You are welcome to undress beneath the massage cloth to your comfort level. Know that Thai massage involves being walked on, while the therapist holds poles attached to the ceiling, which means she can adjust her pressure. I have been there twice, and each time asked for the deep pressure for 90 min. I feel as soft as a noodle right now, and expect that tomorrow I'll be sore. So. I'll take some Ibuprofen and soak in Epsom salts tonight. I'll keep drinking lots of water to flush out released toxins. read more

Let me preface my message by letting everyone know my wife is a certified massage therapist trained at the big place in Thailand so she knows of what she speaks. We have been using OTM for years but due to the pandemic only twice in the last year. Our therapists were Sarah and Natty. My wife and I both say, unequivocally, they are the best we have ever had. We drove in a drenching rainstorm, (hail coming home) from Temecula, a 90 minute trek. And well worth the drive. read more

I finally found someone that takes my knots out of my neck out and stress throughout my body away! I had an 1 hour and a half session. I highly recommend this for people that are athletic and work with a lot of stress. This isn't a place where you can fall asleep snoring. Chacha uses her legs, knees, and feet to make sure you walk out of there like a new person. I completely understand why she doesn't use just her hands now after I left. The pressure points she took care of was from her knees and it worked! I walked out like I was on cloud 9 or like I took narcotics from my doctor to relax me. She will fix you and you will feel like a new person. Just make sure, you tell her exactly what you need as far as soft, medium and firm massage. She's professional and has all her degrees on her wall entrance, so she knows what's she's doing. I will continue to go, so I won't go insane with my current job. Much needed read more

Mixed review here. There are no couples rooms available. I made an appointment requesting for a couple together and was given a time to arrive. When we did and were separated, I asked why not together. All single rooms only. They don't disclose when making appointments. My partner had a wonderful exhilarating 90 minute massage. His therapist ensured to cover the areas he called out. He was refreshed for the remainder of the day. Only odd thing was she asked for his name and number to be entered in to her cell phone. *insert joke here* My 90 minutes were torture. I explained all the tension in my upper back and knots I had. She spent less than 10 minutes on my back. The rest of the time was on my legs and arms. I kept asking why not my back. She said I'm so tight on my legs that what she's doing would relieve all the tension on my upper back. Including the torturous walk on my calves, as she had me position them sideways!! My day ended in pain, popping motrin, barely able to walk, especially up the stairs. With still no relief of tension in my back. All thanks to "her" who is the owner. I'm a huge promoter of Thai massages and have gone for years. Only type I'll get. This by far was my worst experience ever! We would only recommend a therapist there who is not the owner. read more

Fantastic, Sarah and Wendy are absolute professionals. They understand the body and talk you through the treatment to customize to your needs. We will be back again. read more

This place is amazing, if you're looking for a LEGIT Thai massage this is the place for sure! I'm sooOo glad I found this place !

Sarah was more like a nurse than a typical masseuse. She could tell by touching me where I needed work. Her knowledge of physiology was first rate and told me where my back and foot problems stemmed from and how she could resolve the issues. Truly Thai born and a master at Thai technique. The ultimate back walker. Great foot, knee and toe work! Caring and kind. I'm tempted to drive from San Diego just to see her again. Awesome, legitimate, no funny business massage at this establishment! read more

This place is a gem! Tucked into a small shopping center, Oriental Thai is one of the best massage studios I've been to - and I've been to plenty. I was fortunate enough to have Cristina for my massage. She is amazing - strong hands, focuses on the tight areas and a great combination of therapy and stretching to leave you feeling loose and relaxed. Cristina was so good that I booked her again for the following day, but for longer! read more

Always a great healing massage for me, I am so grateful that they are still open for business!

massage was great. unfortunately, either due to a miscommunication or a scheduling problem, there was not a 2nd masseuse for our couple's massage. the lady who helped us did not seem to have the greatest command of the english language & we did only give her an hour heads up but she did say that she could do a couple's massage. maybe she thought we meant one at a time. so the wifey got the massage & said the lady was really good. an actual legit thai massage & not a westernized version. no oils, just massaging & stretching. read more

I came to Palm Desert the beginning of April and found Oriental Thai Massage on Yelp. Sarah greeted me and has been my massage therapist this entire month. She is the best masseuse I have ever had in my life. She really has had the proper training and she knows exactly what to do to fix aches and pains. She is so knowledgeable and every time I am in Palm Desert I will get a massage from her. Thank you, Sarah, for helping me with my tight hips and entire body. You are a gem! read more

Hands down the best massage I've ever had (and I've traveled the world due to my profession and have had my fair share). I read the Yelp reviews before making an appointment and was pretty confident I wouldn't be disappointed. Not only were my expectations met, but I was blown away by the professionalism, genuine spirit and truly a healer Cha Cha is. She has a true gift and it didn't go unnoticed. I definitely recommend her and happy to say I've found Oriental Thai Massage. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You really touched my soul and my mind. I really appreciate you Cha Cha and I'll see you soon. read more

This place is awesome! My friend and I escaped San Diego for the weekend after having been fully vaccinated for Covid. This place practices mask wearing, temp taking, hand sanitizer and questionnaire re: symptoms-so that was peace of mind at the onset. The most important thing, the Massage (90 min Deep Tissue)!! Soooooooooo good! They do NOT mess around. They get the job done and it hurt so good. I feel like jello! Thank you!!!! read more

after a long day of working i made an appt with sarah who worked on my neck, back and hips .. i could tell she was a professional and she would talk about the problems that i was having with a knotted neck, scapula etc. she used the hot rocks, applied pressure and stretched the tightness that i walked in with. sarah is the best thai massueuse i have met. highly recommend read more

Purely Ah-mazing. I was in much need of a massage and some serious stretching, especially in my neck and back, and based on the reviews decided to see Wendy. This woman IS amazing, she knew just where to apply the right amount of pressure and stretch where I needed it most, without any discomfort. She asked if she could walk on my back -ah yes- game changer, and the hot stones, wow - I could go here every day! I left feeling refreshed, my body no longer felt like it was in a big a knot, and my mind clear of the tension that had built up. Some massages can leave you feeling like you've been hit by a mac-truck, not Wendy, she has all the right stuff and look forward to many more visits. read more
