Adam Vick Branch Manager Texas Subject: Delivery of Wendell Davis personal effects to Tomball Texas subsequent damages, loss, and lack of communication regarding claim and assistance regarding claim. On October 18,2025 I received my shipment which was also packed and stored by vanexpress moving company. During delivery three (3) items were damaged beyond repair being: An LG 55" tv Model OLED55C8PUA Made 11/2018 A 58" Glass and wood with chrome desk A 49" full length mirror All of this had a fair value of $569 in good condition after consulting. All items were either broken beyond either due to the loading, storage, and unpacking which Adam Vick had taken videos of and knew all items to be in good condition. Originally we were told maybe a week to have the claim settled, it is now four weeks and the only thing the person in New Jersey would say was they would send a note to the company they filed a claim with. (Of which we are never copied on which we questioned but never got an answer. These items were reported by Adam on the same day (October 18) in the form of a claim Adam states. As of today, we have never received a copy of this claim after questioning Adam and his head office in New Jersey. To date or as of today, we asked this six (6) specific times. The day after the shipment and a couple of days after this we also asked Adam if he was sure if all items were unloaded, my sons' office chair as he needed it to do his homework. We received no answer about it, so we engaged the head office in New Jersey. After eight (8) days the chair appeared, and we questioned Adam if anything else was missing. He said no but we told him we were skeptical because we had to escalate the issue just to find the chair. He said no and we also asked his colleagues in New Jersey to please see if they could verify as we were still unpacking. After unpacking we noticed that Spanish porcelain figures containing lladro angel figurines as it was the only box marked porcelain figures and fragile being #4541 Angel lying down $48 value #4960 Curious Angel $55 vakue #4959 Angel Kneeling $109 value #4635 Guardian Angel with baby $40 value #4539 Angel Thinking $40 value #4538 Angel Praying $39 value Oppo 103 SACD/DVD Player $300 value Cusinart blender $29 So what we would like to do is to make sure this is common knowledge and we could receive and explanation why we did not receive a copy of the initial claim. We additionally would like to say 7 of the 16 clients bill of rights were not kept. Many pieces of furniture we had a carpenter come in and paid $424 on repair to make usable again . All in all was the only thing Adam was insistent upon was being paid for pickup and and drop off to the point of being insulting. We would appreciate your review and consideration in this matter.     We made an out of state move with this company. We were happy with the staff that packed our house…read moreand their handling of our belongings. We were told the same staff would be on the other end unloading. We were also told that the trucks would arrive at the new location between 8-10am. When they didn't show up by 10am we called and were told they were packing the trucks and would be leaving shortly. The trucks did not leave for several more hours. All communication with the company from here on out was prompted by us otherwise we would not hear from the company. The trucks arrived well after 7pm and with a totally different crew. They were helpful but we were told they needed to leave by midnight to get back. It was a rush to unload the trucks We received items that did not belong to us and several items were missing. No attempt was made by the company to retrieve the items we did not own nor was any attempt made to our knowledge to find our missing items. Again our main concern was lack of communication after the packing was done, the late arrival, and the lack of effort to find our missing items. Would not recommend this company for a long distance move.

Review revised in December 2022…read more I had a VERY disappointing experience at the Heights U-Haul location on 34th St. I love writing reviews for excellent service, and fortunately I don't have many negative reviews submitted like the following: Per U-Haul's "guaranteed reservation" policy, they will give you $50 if you reserve your equipment/vehicle online (and a few other requirements), but your reservation could not be fulfilled as requested. I was not notified, due to no fault of my own, the cargo van that I had reserved was not available and wouldn't be for an additional two day. Long story short...the general manager at the location was LESS than professional and refused to give me my $50 Not a problem, I called U-Haul's toll free number, and a representative named Shaun apologized, confirmed that I did qualify for the $50, and restored my overall opinion of U-Haul. Take note of Shawn's handling of this situation and apply his tactics, Andre Laday (Heights U-Haul General Manager). I still highly recommend U-Haul for your equipment/moving needs, but BUYER BEWARE and know your rights should you decide to use the Heights U-Haul location. Whew! I'm spent. -That's all.
