I opted to try the chicken and waffle specialty pizza and with the recommendation of the staff member I was looking forward to trying something new and different. They start with a ricotta base and toss waffles, chicken and syrup before topping the pizza and adding some herbs. The pizza lacked any type of flavor and the chicken breeding was soggy and flavorless. My fiancé made his own pizza with sausage and multiple cheeses, it was also lacking flavor. I had a Great White pizza with onions, banana peppers and sausage added. It was delicious! Very cheesy and garlicky without being too heavy. You go up to a counter to order a pizza, and it took quite some time for the line to move ahead. The place specializes in made to order personal pizzas, but they also serve salads and gelato. Once you place your order, you pay and your pizza is delivered. The three of us ordered two pizzas and a salad. The salad was yum and fresh. The pizza dough, however, was a little bland and could have used some spices, but st least some salt and pepper. Value for the meal, though, was ok with pizzas running around $11. Blaze Pizza, Pieology, and now Your Pie. The desert certainly seems to be abuzz with fast casual pizzerias. And I can understand why. You get exactly what you want, in amounts you want, in the time you want it; now. But how are they? From all the reviews of my fellow Yelpers, it would seem Your Pie can do no wrong. And indeed, when you step in the place looks clean, albeit a tad cozy. The staff looks generally happy to be there. And the pizza? I ordered a pepporoni and black olive pizza, on marinara and pesto sauces. It was a comforting Bill's pizza shout out. The pizza arrived hot, not too carbon crusted (a lá Blaze) and very quickly. Literally as soon as I had sat down from getting my drink, my pizza was before me (bonus points for delivering it to the table). Upon taking that first bite however...I was left wholly underwhelmed. The pepporoni was thin and lifeless, the sauces, instead of lifting each other up, was too bland and jejune. It's like taking out the prom queen and finding out she's an airhead; just no substance. At first I thought, I hoped, my palate was merely off that day, but after testing myself with the soda I poured myself and finding it to be as satisfying as usual...I am sad to report, Your Pie, that this time, it's not me. First time here, have been to Pieology a few times and admit I am not really a pizza person. Although, in the last three days I have had pizza twice. So I am going to compare Your Pie to Pieology. Walk in the door and everyone welcomes you to their joint. Equal points to both places. Your Pie only has a few choices of sauce, whereas, Pieology has many. Points to Pieology. Toppings at Your Pie are very limited, Pieology has more. Points to Pieology. Your Pie offers olive oil, salt and pepper after you have added the toppings, I'm not aware if this same service is available at Pieology. So I'll give points to Your Pie. One thing that really stood out to me, was how skimpy the toppings the workers wanted to put on my pie, at Your Pie. I asked for extra cheese and got a little more. I then added pepperoni, got 7 pieces! Asked for more, she added 3 or 4 pieces. Then asked for more pepperoni, and she covered it in pepperoni. Paid more for Your Pie, than at Pieology. Points to Pieology. First bite of Your Pie, crust was soft, and the whole pizza was greasy. Whereas, same pizza that was ordered earlier in the week at Pieology, crust was crisp and maybe Pieology has a better pepperoni as I never noticed being greasy. Your Pie is more expensive and not the same quality as Pieology! If you like the idea of making your own custom pizza and don't want to drive to Pieology , then I suppose you might be happy. After over an hour wait, the food came cold and the order was incorrect. They shorted three sides. Lettuce was wilted and was far from fresh or clean. Just horrible. There are actually brown pieces of lettuce in the salad. The pizza too cheesy after instructions of light cheese. They forgot the added sides and completely messed up the order then made it difficult to get them on the phone and went thru three higher management positions just to get the missing sides. When I opened what was delivered, it was a cold and completely inedible meal. Don't waste your money. The grub hub driver was nice however. None of it his fault. I felt bad for him. He did his best to try and get the establishment to make it right. Even made a second trip to pick up the missing sides. What he brought back was a complete joke. The brownie was not as described but something you could pick up from a 7/11. Unfortunately this meal was all completely inedible. They don't want to give refunds. I had a pesto pizza with some veggies, the toppings were fresh and tasty! The wine is affordable $4.95 per glass and very good. There are about 8 beers on tap, in addition to a bunch of beers in the cooler- adults are covered. When I received my order I noticed that I didn't get the correct order. I received a plain cheese pizza instead of the pepperoni. I called the establishment and spoke with a worker who informed me he would reimburse me. He then told me he couldn't cause it was through Uber eats. I spoke with a very incompetent manager who was very rude and told me I had to see a refund through Uber eats. I informed her that it was their fault and not Uber eats and she again told me to seek my refund through Uber. We've always enjoyed our experience at the Your Pie restaurant in Indio. Yummy pizza, great beer selection and delicious gelato. This last weekend though, we tried something different and had them cater a party for us using their mobile oven. It was awesome! We had a group of about 60 people. Each received a selection of fresh salads while waiting for their personal pizza to be prepared and baked on the spot. It was fresh and right out of the oven. It took a little bit of time due to each pizza being made to order but it was worth the wait. Our guests all had great things to say. This has become one of our Friday Night favorite dining places. We are loving the atmosphere and the ease of ordering. It's a great deal for kids and my husband and I usually split a pizza ( and finish off the kids leftovers). I do wish they were a bit more generous with the toppings. I hate having to ask for extra but I certainly think for the price the can do a bit better with portions. Overall the taste is on point and the beverage station is amazing. Service: 5 Friendly staff and a manager who made things right after they went wrong (twice). Food: 4 Crust was thin, crispy and delicious. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. I'd eat here again, and I'd recommend this place to friends and family (if I had any in that area). I was passing through town on my way home from Ontario, and I was craving pizza so I figured I'd give this Your Pie a shot. It was about 6:30pm on a Friday, and the place was pretty busy. After waiting about 15min in line, I built the perfect pizza and was told the pizza would be ready in 10. After 10-15 minutes, I watched as they brought pizzas out to the two groups that were behind me in line. After almost 20min, the cashier, Ana, went back to check on my pizza and determined that the pizza was "lost". At that point, I was pretty irritated as I was was very hungry, very tired, and anxious to get home to AZ. As I sat there waiting, I opened Yelp and began writing a 1 Star review. Then, the manager came out and began turning things around. She apologized for the mishap, and was genuinely concerned with making things right. She kindly offered to make me a new pizza and give me a gift card and a free gelato or drink while I waited...for me, that wasn't going to cut it (I'm not a fan of soda or gelato, and a gift card wouldn't do any good since I live in AZ). I asked for a refund and a new pizza, and I was pleasantly surprised when she gladly obliged. The manager personally prepared my 2nd pizza for me and ensured that it made it into the oven promptly. While they were cooking my other pizza, they found my original "lost" pizza. The manager gave me the original pizza to snack on while they baked the new pizza and offered the fresh pie as well since the original one had been sitting in the back for nearly 30min. I finished the original pizza and waited an additional 5-10 min for the 2nd pie...turns out, they forgot about that one too! The manager spotted me about 15min after she put the pizza in the oven and asked if I'd gotten the 2nd pizza, and I told her "not yet." So she brought me the pie herself and apologized for the delay (once again). At that point, I'd eaten and I was no longer Hangry, so I laughed it off and told her that I understand...things happen. I thanked her for making things right, and left half of my refund in the tip jar before making my way out. I would've left my whole refund in the tip jar, but I needed to buy an energy drink for the 5hr drive home :) All in all, the manager's handling of the situation turned my experience around and earned Your Pie a 5 Star review. read more
