Below average pizza. I visited this location on a weekday during lunchtime and it was pretty empty. They not only have a smaller selection of pizza toppings compared to competitors like Blaze Pizza and Pieology, they also give less amounts of the toppings on pizzas and charge more. My overpriced pizza ended up tasting subpar, making me wish that I had spent my money elsewhere nearby. I threw away the tasteless crusts, and I usually always eat my pizza crusts. Run the other direction. Don't come here if you are looking for a quick bite. With a line of a whopping two groups of people total in front of us and five staff members working the counter...it took them over 20 minutes to bring my son's pizza. My husband and I had ordered salads and they were sitting there dressed the whole time for 20 minutes. I kept wanting to say something but kept thinking "no...those can't be our salads! Thy wouldn't just leave them out for that long." Oh...yes they did. Of course the salads were soggy and basically inedible and unappetizing when they came out. When I mentioned that it didn't make sense to dress our salads and leave them sitting out for 20 minutes before serving them the guy said "well we do the best we can." Frankly, I object. Doing your best should mean serving fresh food and being better able to manage a small number of pizza orders. All the considerable staff needed to do was wait to dress our salads and keep them refrigerated until my son's pizza was ready. And honestly...I have no idea why it took them so long to serve his pizza. His pizza came out cold which is better than I can say for the poor lady in in front of us. First time to the Indio location. I came in around 4pm on a Thursday. Pulled right up in front of the place. My wife wrote down about 8 items for her 10 inch pizza. I handed the slip to the nice woman behind the counter. I was amazed that you can order any items you want...for the same low price of 9.95 I didn't hold back. I loaded mine up with pepperoni, sausage, black olives, red onion, yellow peppers, tomatoes, and more. Of course it's no good if the dough is bad or it's cooked bad. Well it was perfect...thin crust, brown crisp bottom, but not overly cooked. I grabbed a salad and it was already made stuffed in a small clear container...3.49 and it included black olives, feta, and yellow peppers. when I opened the container it filled up a paper plate to the edges. I chose the ceaser dressing which was delicious. I used my Yelp check in and got a free scoop of gelato, and bought another salted caramel for about 1.79 To feed the two of us under 30. including dessert was fantastic. I was 34 weeks pregnant and almost really injured myself at their location due to a water spill by their soda fountain luckily only ended up being sore the next day. Was not even asked by an employee if I was ok even though a few witnessed the fall and a wet floor sign was put out right after I fell. And only another patron helped me up and checked if I was ok. Just NO no no no never. Gluten free vegan cheese. I ordered it online for it to be ready in 15 minutes. I drove over there and it was just about to go in. Gluten free crust cooks quicker than regular crust. Sooooooo riddle me this? Why was I waiting for over 30 minutes. I asked the staff to check on my pizza and it was just sitting on a To go bag? Better yet why didn't the guy who told me it would be out in a few minutes make sure he was the one who gave it to me? I've been here two times before and even spoke to the owner about his awesome pizza. I came here again before leaving town...and the same exact pizza I've ordered the same two times before is terrible. It's sagging everywhere! Just oil and gross and just not what the last two times was. I asked the manager on staff and she made me feel like an idiot for questioning her "pizza" knowledge and I said well the owner made mine last time and she said what I received was the perfect great white. I've been to bunch of customized pizza places from Pizza Rev, Blaze, Pieology, Pie360, etc... I think it's cool they're handtossed, but don't like bits of raw unleavened flower that gets stuck to the crust when they are kneading the dough out. I would prefer oil be used to prevent sticking instead. read more
