My family has been raving about this old timey Italian restaurant in Indio so I was eager to give them a try. Ciros is a long time staple in the community and has been open since the 60's - which is beyond impressive in these times. We should all continue to support our local staples that have been serving generation after generation. We came in for a super early weeknight dinner and that was the right move. The place was empty and relaxed. However, as we finished our meal a slow trickle of people started to come in which was nice to see. Not sure if this spot ever gets "packed" but it had a good amount of regulars and plenty of takeout orders. We sat at a comfortable booth and I liked the decor. Very old school, slightly aged, but all of the nostalgic vibes that if you were a local growing up here, it'd feel like home. What's also cool is they have an open area kitchen in the front of the restaurant so you can watch the chef make your pizzas. Loved it. Staff was friendly, efficient and attentive. Again, they weren't busy but staff kept our drinks filled, cleared plates as needed and provided great service. 5 stars definitely on the service and overall welcoming atmosphere. Prices were standard and I will say they give great portion sizes. All of us had leftovers to take home which is always a good thing. The food is standard old school Italian. Very mom And pop, decent. I'd say I'd rate the food between 3.5-4 stars but it really depends what you get. My starter side salad was crisp, fresh and well dressed with thousand island. Also the bread basket was warm and addicting. For my meal I got the shrimp scampi pasta which I thought was good but not amazing. The highlights were the large shrimp and noodles were cooked perfect. The oil - lemon - garlic sauce overall was just okay. Garlic was garlic-ing but it lacked maybe seasoning? I think scampi pasta dishes can be hard to master as they sometimes feel more oil forward than buttery, which I would have preferred. I definitely liked my dish but would get something different the next time. Truly their classic baked pasta and red sauce dishes looked fantastic and I'd get that next time, can't beat a classic. read more

We went in with a table of 13 people and service was a little bit slow and convoluted. My friend ordered wine she never got. The restaurant was slow too. My husband said his pizza was okay. My eggplant was okay as well but Mario's is much better. The lettuce on the salads wasn't crisp. Haven't been here in a long time. They need to improve service for sure! Had lunch at Ciros today & it was pretty good not a bad price for what you get! I liked the soup it was tasty & my pizza too now a couple of my slices got soggy from the oil but it was good overall. Service was pretty good. Ambiance could use some sprucing up but I'd come back for the lunch specials for sure or try dinner. read more

My family has been coming here since 1986! That is roughly 40 years worth of ciros dining. The restaurant has gone through many changes and many owners since then but one thing that constantly stays true is the family Feel as well as the recipes. Those recipes have stayed true to the original owners concept for over 40 years, Ciro's always tends to get the best servers as well and the best cooks. Every time I step into this place it brings back memories of family members that I've lost through the years. I love this place so much and I'm so happy that it's still around! Had a 15$ cork fee, brought a favorite wine. The mozzarella sticks were dressed up and had a tasty marinara. They made an exception and put together a custom manicotti with "pink sauce" add sausage. Divide, especially with a Cab Sauv to wash it down. My friends, support this local business and be satisfied. We were seated right away which was great! It was a 20 minute wait and I had to ask someone passing by to take our order. The drinks came and they hardly had any ice in the iced tea and the beer was supposed to be a draft and came in a bottle. We finally placed our order and when the pizza was ready it sat up on the order shelf for almost 10 minutes before someone brought it over so it was luke warm. We were so disappointed with our visit as we have had many good meals here previously. The gal that was working was very sweet. It seemed as though they were understaffed. The manicotti was good! All the food came out fresh and HOT! You won't leave hungry. They did appear to be understaffed as it took a while to be greeted and seated. None of the tables were cleared off. But none of that affected the food! I would go back! read more

I really enjoyed my pizza. Amelia and Raul were extremely kind in helping us identify a pizza that we could eat safely as we have a lot of allergies. They were able to make us a pizza with olive oil, cheese, & olives and it was delicious! It had been awhile since we visited Ciros, so we thought we'd give it a try. I ordered the Ciros Cajun Shrimp without onions and my wife ordered baked eggplant which comes with penne pasta on the menu. My meal came with onions, but at least it was warm and still tasty. However, my wife's meal came with spaghetti noodles, not penne noodles as preferred. Worse yet, the meal was ice cold. The waitress said that the eggplant meal didn't come with penne and we were skeptical... checked the menu, was supposed to be penne. Our waitress was sweet, felt bad about the cold meal and that the onions showed up in my meal, and sent dessert home with us. It's not enough though, for $80 for cold food, unwanted onions, wrong pasta and a nice dessert, we're unlikely to return. read more

Very sad because I've been coming here with my grandparents since I was a little girl. The food is still good but when I walked into pick up my pizza, litterally no one greeted me . Not " welcome" or " Hi , how can we help you " . I just had to stand there awkwardly for 5 minutes. One of the guys did ask "what are you here for ?" We had a party and had a server who got our orders. We received most with the exception of 3 which both of my kids and mother were waiting so I assumed it was on its way. 15 minutes later, I asked the server for an update on their food as most of the party were either half ways done with their food. Looked at me and said she had forgotten to place the ticket. We then got two orders and she forgot one so my son waited a few more minutes. I paid my bill but as I'm leaving she asked for a tip. I'm a genuine tipper but to have the audacity to ask for an additional tip is embarrassing and disrespectful after a horrible service she provided. read more

Worst experience! Went in for dinner tonight (Monday 1-27-25), was seated got drinks, ordered. All well so far, delivered my husbands meal & walked back towards area food comes from. Waited, waited and waited. Tried to catch servers eye several times with no luck even when she rushed past our table, a different server walked by & wouldn't make eye contact either. When our server finally came by again I asked loudly to get her attention where my meal was, this was approx 15 mins after his was delivered & he was almost finished. She said it would be right out. She rushed past several more times before I asked again and she said they were working on it? She went to prep area again. The next time she came by she said "can I get you appetizers, or cheesecake?, I was like no I just want my meal!" WTH they can do an appetizer but not my meal, no special request just the baked penne pasta dish! While waiting we watched them seat & serve 2 other tables. After waiting more than 30 minutes we asked another girl for a box for his leftovers. Another server then came back with dishes in her hand and said "the lasagna" I said no I ordered mastaccoli he had lasagne (partially eaten sitting in front of him) , she goes "this isn't yours" turned and went back up to counter. Our server came back & I said just box his and take mine off bill. She said yours is done, I said fine box it to go. She then goes up front, comes back and says can I get you anything else? I said a box for his, she said OK & left bill. Looked at bill, no discount and had my entree on it. I told my husband to deal with this and went out to car. About 5 minutes later he comes out with bag, said she handed him bags and said was desert inside with leftovers for hassle. She kept telling him sorry wasn't my fault, like he said if she would've stopped at table to enquire even once, kept us informed or made an effort to make things right it would've been OK but she barely acknowledged us once took order. We will never go back and for the first time in our lives my husband did not leave a tip. And of course there was not any form of desert in the bag. Had some company at my house yesterday on Sunday and decided to order a margarita pizza. I was a little surprised that the prices had gone up on a large margarita, but the food is always been good in the past, so it was never a problem. When my order arrived. nothing but disappointment, barely any cheese, barely any sauce, lots of garlic, which I always enjoy pizza came extremely thin, slightly burnt on the bottom, and was absolutely tasteless. I've never once complained about any of the pricing on any of their food. There because the quality has always been good and it's never a problem to pay for quality. I am not sure who they have cooking right now but the margarita pizza that used to be just a vine was absolutely horrible. I will not be coming back or ordering a delivery from them ever again read more

This place sucks! We ordered 2 Fettuccine Alfredo's WITH chicken to be delivered to our house. When the order arrived, it was very bland noodles with Alfredo sauce on it. No chicken! I called the restaurant and told him that they forgot to put chicken on it and they said they have a different menu in their restaurant than what we see online and it doesn't come with chicken! He then refused to send us out some chicken because that's what I ordered AND paid for... And he said sorry ma'am, but if you want, I'll send you a screenshot of our menu. I said, I don't care what you see on your menu, I ordered chicken Alfredo online on my end and that's what I expected to receive and that's what I paid for! What?!?!?! He would not make it right. He argued with me and I told him that we would not be eating there ever again! And we won't! On top of it... It was super bland. I had to doctor it up and add some spices so we could eat it. Don't waste your money! There are so many great restaurants here in the Coachella Valley. Why would I bother eating at a place like this? Lousy food and lousy customer service! read more
