This shop is so cute! I've been here a few times and I guess I've never written a review. Oops!…read more This place has delicious candies and unique gift items. To be honest, I've only bought toffee, but damn, it's delicious! This trip I bought end of the school year toffee gifts for my coworkers. I decided to make it easy on myself and buy one flavor for all. That flavor was Oreo toffee. It had Oreo cookies layered with toffee. Looked so good! I was told it was delicious. For myself, I bought the caramel toffee. OMG! Soft, buttery caramel and crisp toffee are the perfect combo! One piece was rich and super satisfying! I decided not to eat the whole bag myself and shared with a friend. Prices are good. Toffee is delicious. Many more toffee flavors to try. I might even venture away from the toffee and try something else on my next visit.

Everyone raves about them! She is truly a master chocolatier! It's not always the easiest place to find but there is treasure at Johanna's that is well worth the search! Also if you are looking for unique items, she does really cute and delicious petit fours! For Mother's Day she had some that were shaped like bonnets and decorated with little flowers. My mom went crazy for them! Trust me, if your thinking "I'm just going to get chocolates at See's" stop yourself and try Johanna's. You won't be sorry!

But because I didn't like the price, here's a little background. Continue to read if you want my rant. If not just understand See's is good but not real specialy chocolate pricy good. I always like coming to See's candies during the holidays. Not so much during the regular year, or else I'm going to have to change my lifestyle. If I want chocolate from See's candies i need to budget for it ,price checking The nuts and chews. (MY FAVORITES)1 pound box is $33. 2 pound box is $63. The Maple brittle is $22. The fancy gold boxes are $70 for the 2 pound and $40 for the one pound box, the soft centers are one pound for $33 and two pounds.$63 . To each his own / her own. As much as I like this place, I don't see that I need chocolate this much that I would pay these prices after going to Switzerland and getting "real" chocolate for about the same price. The quality level is still really different. And I don't think it's worth it. But the samples I had today, were good. Honestly, I don't know if they're $35 with tax for a pound.. good.
