Just to add a bit to my review, I have to say that Sam went above and beyond what I expected in service. There was a small issue we wanted fixed before we closed the deal. Sam asked if we could wait until after the Christmas holidays and that was fine. Then, there was a mix up with contacts and the emails and texts I sent weren't returned. I grew increasingly frustrated. Finally, I called a different number, talked to Sam in person, and he not only apologized profusely for the communication problem, but also did more than we expected to resolved the original issue. A swing and a miss, but then a home run. Sam also was kind enough to have the car sent down to the Elgin office to close the deal, so we wouldn't have to go back up to Waukegan for it. Good folk to deal with. I counted up the cars I've purchased in my long life. It's 27 for me and my family. This was one of the most seamless and satisfying experiences. Spent at the very top of my budget to purchase a very clean vehicle. Requested an honest review of what I might need to invest in the car to make sure it lasts me for several years. The salesperson generally seemed confused and untrained, and lied claiming that it was in good running condition. The car catastrophically overheated and broke down. Upon getting it towed to my mechanic, over $2000 of repairs are needed to just make it safe to drive. The manager was dismissive and asked me "what do you want me to do?" and offered me no respectable viable compensation for the headache. The $200 check he offered isn't going to make a dent in the $1100 I've already spent on tires and battery and the $2000 more I will be spending to repair a portion of it. Buyer beware. read more

These people are nothing but a bunch of con artists!!! I bought a truck with the promise it was a solid truck. A week after getting the truck, I noticed something was wrong. Called them back within the state provided lemon law/warranty and was told to go get a diagnostic. The transmission was shot! Certified Chevy dealership told me I needed a transmission. Your Choice Auto told the dealership to call my extended warranty company cause they should cover it. Instead of doing what was legally obligated on their side and fix it. Warranty company would not cover it because of how bad the transmission was. They said the condition of the transmission was not an overnight issue. It's been like that for sometime due to the amount of metal shavings in the transmission pan. They offered to pay to ship the truck back to Illinois, I live in Missouri. Which is around $400 one way. So I didn't mind paying $516 for the diagnostics, which they are legally liable to pay. After a couple more weeks of having the truck and me calling the hole in the wall trans shop they took it to, thanks to mychevylink, it was finally done. They supposedly "rebuilt" the transmission. When the truck gets to the house, the transporter said they were told it was cash on delivery. $400. I called Your Choice Autos and they told me to pay the shipping and they would mail me a check. Still haven't seen hide nor hair of a check. After the first day of driving my "fixed" truck, the transmission still shifts really hard into gears and now has the GM shudder. If you're a car guy, you know what I'm talking about. Called them back and said the truck is now worse than what it was. Once again they said they would call me back, which they never really do. I have to call them. BUT, they had their service manager call me this time. He asked what was going on and how they make sure they have satisfied customers and blah blah blah. I told him that it feels like the torque converter is going out. And he tried to tell me that that part is part of the engine, not the transmission. That was the dumbest thing I've ever heard!!! On top of that , he is the service manager. I knew right then and there that they didn't rebuild shit and probably just did a fluid flush. He told me he paid $2500 to rebuild the transmission. That was a joke in itself. To rebuild a transmission in that truck will cost you at least $6000!!! All they do is lie, cheat, and steal!!! I will keep everyone updated as to when or if I get my money back. For all the trouble they've put me through, they can pay me $916. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!! read more

Honestly I wasn't planning on leaving a review because the staff was working on thanksgiving but looking back at it, it does feel like I wasted my time driving there. On thanksgiving I called the dealership and asked if they were open, and that I had a test drive scheduled for the following day. They said they were open and asked what car I wanted to test drive. I gave them the year and name and they said they had it and I could come. I made the 40 minute drive to go take a look at the car, they gave me the keys but I noticed the car was a year older and the color was slightly different, I didn't think anything of it until I saw the mileage was way off to the one I saw online. When we got back from the test drive I told them that the VIN did not match and that the mileage was off. I was then told that the car I came to look at was not there, and that there was maintenance being done by one of the owners. He then later admitted that it wasn't one of the owners but instead one of the employees who took the car for thanksgiving. I was honestly pretty shocked but I wanted to see if maybe I could test drive another car while I was there. We looked at different options and saw a car listed with 40k miles and when I got inside I noticed the mileage was off by 9k and had almost closer to 50k miles. I was pretty bummed out since I was really interested in the car I came to look at. I found it extremely unprofessional and I apologized to my brother for tagging along with me to go look for a car that wasn't there. Apart from that I did feel like had a good variety of car selection but with a bunch of little red flags I find it difficult to trust this establishment. This place is completely fraud center.the people work there treat you nicely but they are ready to rob you and they do.Here my experience with them.I bought a vehicle from them on January 27 2025 spent nearly 15000$.I didn't drive just I trusted one Indian who sells a vehicle.I asked about vehicle many questions and he told me this is one of the best vehicle you buying then I finished paperwork.when I see my purchased vehicle look good and than salesman starts the car won't start I asked why? He told me that this car sitting longer that's why ok he starts the car then I saw tpms light on again he told me it will go away it didn't I spent $65 after they refused to do telling me that this is your responsibility. Well I'm not sure what happened with these other buyers but my husband and I came in to look at a specific car they had advertised and it was as advertised and they worked with us on the price and we are very happy with the car we got for the price we got. We weren't expecting a brand new perfect car, we got a really nice used car for a really nice price. We did a lot of research on what we needed and what expected cost would be for the vehicle we wanted and their price was great, especially compared to other similar vehicles we looked at, both at dealers and with private parties. Brian and Lenny were very laid back, answered all our questions, and were very easy to work with. We recommend this place. If anything changes in the future and we have big problems, I will update this review, but for right now it stands as is - great used car at a great price with very nice people. read more

Was reeled in with promises not kept..."Oh nothing's wrong w/the car" "Bring it back if anything happens" "Relax, everything will be fine" "The manager will call you" "Don't worry you have 15 days..." Blah, blah, blah... Purchased car one night before close. Noticed a day later (after not driving) there was serious issue w/air bag. Looked puffed and seal was broken. Called & left vm message for Sales Rep, Brian and Manager, Ramy. Said I wanted to return car as I felt it was unsafe and wasn't aware of or know the extent of the issue. Didn't hear back & called again. Told by Brian that manager wasn't in but would be contacted and call me back. Never happened. I texted the Internet Sales Coordinator Gabi multiple times. She stated she forwarded my # to manager. Manager never contacted me (to this day over 1 week later)! Called and left another message on 3rd day after not hearing back from Manager. Texted Online Rep. Waited. Nothing... She told me to call office. I called and left another message and received no return call. Attempted to drive car 4th day after having to pay for rides to and from work. Wanted car out of my hands and my nearly $7,000 spent for a piece of junk. Was hoping to hear from manager & told to bring car back for refund I requested. No calls were returned. Drove and car started locking up. I could only drive in straight line and could not turn safely into parking lot. Steering wheel would not turn left or right. Started making weird noises and the list goes on... Called manager again. No answer at dealership so I left another message detailing the dire & dangerous situation I was in--stranded and in an unsafe car. If I were on the highway, I could've ended up in a ditch trying to exit (since I couldn't steer to turn) or worse--DEAD! I had to contact a mechanic, tow and driving service. Had car towed to shop where a separate mechanic said "Send this car back!" I called & texted over and over to no avail. As some people said "They know what they've done and are avoiding you." This place deserves to be shut down. The cars that are sold here are broken or in a really bad condition. I came here with the intend to purchase a vehicle. When I came to test drive a Black Chevrolet Cruze 2017, the interior was in bad shape. For the price that it was being sold, not worth it. I refused to put a $2,000 DownPayment on a $9,000 car (with interest included) on a mistreated interior car. I went back to give them another chance and ask to let me test drive a couple cars that were in good shape for a good value. The first car that I test drive, the battery was dead. So they had to revive the car with a charging box. With the second car, you could hear that the engine was already in bad shape with the bad loud motor sound it already had. And the last car that I tested, it was having bad transmission problems and that car wanted to turn off. I refuse to even recommend this place to my worst enemy. This place needs to be shut down, they are selling broken cars to the public for an outrageous amount of money. This dealership is a scam. read more

I wouldn't reccomend this DUMP to purchase a vehicle to my worst enemy. They promise you the moon and stars when you're there to buy a car but once you drive away forget about it. They sold my sister a 2007 Mazda 3 February 27th. Within 3 days she called them about her brakes because they were grinding. She brought it in to have it fixed for free. She had 30 days after purchasing the vehicle to call and bring it in to have whatever needed to be fixed, fixed. Two days after getting the car brakes "fixed" they start grinding. My guess is they threw some saw dust on them to cover it up for a few days. She called everyday I've been till the 27th day because after 30 days it's no longer under warranty. Every time she called she got will call you right back or Mickey an accent or now or the mechanic is on lunch blah blah blah. Never received a call back. 2 weeks ago today her engine blew up. She had the car towed to Your Choice Auto and they said because they sold her the car with a bad engine And because she had been calling for the past 30 days about it that they were going to buy a new engine and fix it for free. Today marks 2 weeks the car has been in their possession. She received a call at 5 o'clock saying that her car is ready for pick up. I take her there and the gentleman goes that I'll be $800!?!?!? 2 weeks ago when we finally got ahold of them to get a diagnosis and what was wrong with the her car. Finally found out it was the engine and they said because they sold it to her with a bad engine that they would out a new one in for free. I HEARD THE GENTLEMAN SAY THIS TO MY SISTER ON THE PHONE! They are very unprofessional, they sell piece of shit cars and take advantage of young woman. This place is a NIGHTMARE. THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! If I could leave zero stars I would. They made me waste an entire day. My mom got fired from her job wsiting all day for a response. They kept saying I was approved and had me believe I would walk out with a car. I was told by 3 of their sales reps I was approved with $1000 down. I test drove literally 20 cars. I called back the Monday after since I was told to still wait for a response. Brian their "manager" never followed up with me as he promised and when I spoke to the actual guy that does the finances he said they knew from the very beginning I had gotten denied.
