We scheduled a new sewer line to be installed on March 25. Hines pulled up on March 24 to install a new line because the issue was getting worse by the day. Not only was the work completed a day early but the actual amount paid was less than the quoted price. We definitely recommend this local company for your plumbing needs. They answer quickly and are honest unlike some of the bigger companies.

Danny was excellent! Our water heater died over the weekend, so I had a day-and-a-half to educate…read moremyself on water heaters. On Sunday and Monday morning I started calling plumbing contractors and companies in our area. All the companies I called charged, what I felt were, incredibly high prices for the unit and the install...until I called dFlo. Danny has an A rating on Angie's list, and he sounded like a good plumber to me, so I called him. His prices were extremely fair and definitely more in line with what my husband and I had thought we should pay for the water heater and the install. Our house needed a 50,000 BTU, 50 gallon natural gas water heater with a power vent, so my husband and I knew the unit would be expensive up-front; I had researched and had seen various unit prices online. Danny got us a great unit (same one some of the expensive companies were going to put in), the right size, with the specs we needed and wanted, he installed it the same day, and he was extremely professional, detailed, courteous, and focused. I saved hundreds of dollars (between $370 and $800 when compared with the quotes I had gotten from other plumbing companies in the area) by going with dFlo for our water heater and installation, and the unit is perfect! When the other companies tell you, "that's just the going rate for the type of water heater you need with the install," don't buy what they're saying or their products and services. They tell you what they do because they want to convince you to spend more than you have to spend. Bottom line: Go with dFlo Plumbing! And, thank you, Danny! I will definitely use your services in the future when our house has plumbing issues. Sincerely, Beatrice Eveland Valparaiso, IN

On two completely different incidents Carl and Son was sent out by a home warranty company to…read morerepair issues at my daughter and son in laws new home that were not disclosed by the former owner or found by the home inspector that they hired before close on the property. On both occasions Carl and Son got the work done promptly and correctly. The two gentlemen who did the work were professional and courteous. The first incident was a natural gas leak that had to be handled as an emergency. The home warranty company first dispatched a different plumbing service from Chicago. I could write volumes on this initial plumbers incompetence however I will get to the point. When the first plumber left Nipsco still detected a severe natural gas leak. This leak point was clearly marked before this plumber started. I refused to have this same service back and it took a lot of arguing and a threat of law suite but finally the home warranty company agreed to dispatch a different plumber. This was Carl and Son and the experience was like night and day. This leak was repaired and after the entire system was pressure tested another valve showed slight leakage. This was also repaired. Nipsco commented the repair was excellent and was able to immediately turn the gas back on. I would recommend Carl and Son to anybody in the "Region". People tend to dwell on the negatives but rarely take the time to pass along the positives. Carl and Son did the job correctly on both jobs. I would hire them again in a second. Thank you Carl & Son!

Josh (plumber) was efficient, adaptable and the installation of the home's water filtration system was impeccable. I also appreciate how careful they were with our time and money. Not only was their quote comparable to other local plumbers, but Josh asked for the model number of our system a week before our appt, so he could anticipate any issues and ensure that he had the right materials. That seems pretty uncommon, as other plumbers typically prefer to learn on-site and bill the homeowner for that extra time.

We purchased an ice maker that needed a water supply and a drain, and with heated floors and a bunch of mechanicals right below, it was not an easy job. It's the kind of job a lot of people would see as "not worth the hassle". Josh came out and looked at the situation, and gave us an estimate the next day. They were honest about the fact that it was going to be a few weeks but we scheduled it and they arrived right on time. The quality of work was great, Josh and his helper took care of everything and put everything back the way it was when they were finished. They even replaced some broken valves for our humidifier while they were here. Well worth every penny we paid and will definitely hire them again. Thank you!

Good reviews are…read morenot only about delivering a product, but equally important is the customer service that goes with it. On the day I originally spoke with Jim about replacing a water heater (8/7/2018), we were back and forth all day on the phone. The next day which was to be the installation day, we also texted/talked several times. He kept saying he was still coming into the evening and arrived around 11:00 p.m. He had agreed that at the end of the job, he would remove the old water heater from the premises. (And isn't that standard procedure for professional contractors to pick up after themselves anyway?) I was not on-site when they were done(12:30 a.m.) but he texted me a picture that he had completed the job. He had collected the money prior to the work. It was my disabled son's house and he did not go into the basement to check anything. He was so grateful about them coming out at such an inopportune time that he foolishly offered Jim a $100 tip which was accepted. When I went down in the basement the next day, I was shocked to see that the old heater AND the carton from the new one had not been removed. OF COURSE, my attempts to contact Jim by text/phone calls went unanswered for more than 24 hours. Long story short.... today is 22 days later and at least two time frames have been agreed upon only to find that Jim is a no-show/no-call. He has given personal health problems and logistics as reasons why it is so difficult for him to complete his part of the agreement. The $100 tip would have more than covered someone else removing this heavy object and large box from the basement. I am left wondering if ALL customers have this problem with him, or is it only the ones in certain towns, which I won't name? I even let him know yesterday that I would review his service with 2 stars, but I guess he could not care less....no response. Will ABSOLUTELY NOT use this company again.......I am one disgruntled senior citizen of color! Thank goodness, the heater works!!!
