Let me add 5 stars to reviews for Popa Heating & Cooling. We've lived in our 1972 vintage house for ten years. When we bought it, the seller included home warranty appliance insurance in the deal. We renewed the policy every year for a $550 annual premium. The co-pay was $75 per visit of service technicians dispatched by the insurer. I retained Popa Heating & Cooling every year to service our original equipment furnace because I could reply upon them to provide timely service. Popa counseled we should replace the furnace because it was so energy inefficient and gave us a quote, but we declined to do it awaiting a irreparable furnace issue that would justify replacement by the insurer. The insurer's heating and cooling contractor replaced our ac coil and condenser six years ago. The insurer was called practically every summer when the ac unit failed to the cool the house. Each year the insurer dispatched the contractor who replaced the unit and others to add refrigerant gas that leaked from the system. We didn't renew the insurance policy this year due to dissatisfaction with the insurer's designated service contractors. We engaged Popa to furnish and install a new high energy-efficiency furnace. When the ac failed again this year, I called Popa for service. Leaks were discovered in the coil and condenser due to defective installation by the insurer's contractor. The furnace, coil and condenser were replaced by Popa at a price quoted three years ago. A ten-year warranty was provided on the equipment; a two-year warranty on the labor. read more

Popa Heating & Cooling is a fantastic company who cares. We had an issue with our Trane AC right before Memorial Day. Many companies were not able to get us on Friday. I called Popa and spoke with Christine. Christine was friendly, professional and went out of her way to get someone to our residence. Shane arrived and was professional and went out of his way to address the issue and answer our questions. Unfortunately, we had to install a new unit. Shane was quick to call the office to get pricing and a install date quickly. We were pleased with cost and the quick service. The day of installation went like clock work and Fabian & John did a fantastic job. Prior to installation they went through the steps and answered our questions. The service they provide is fantastic and take pride in their work and our property. They were clean and protected our carpeting and hardwood floors. We are very pleased with our new unit and recommend Popa Heating & Cooling. They have a wonderful team and go the extra for their customers. I rate Popa Heating & Cooling A+++! This company is fantastic and we are so incredibly happy with everyone we worked with. Pat came to our house to accurately calculate our needs and gave recommendations for various HVAC units. Prices were fair. Christie processed our paperwork and scheduled the appointment and was very sweet and helpful. The two service men that came were incredibly kind, professional and helpful. (one named Fabian). They were very knowledgeable and explained everything that they did and were also efficient. I had an additional issue with hot air not reaching several of my rooms. They spent the time to troubleshoot, investigated the attic and solved a problem that we had been dealing with for four years. Now my daughter's room will be better heated. We recently called Popa Heating and Cooling to help us with our heating and air conditioning problems. They came to our home to evaluate our existing furnace and a.c. unit and also made us aware of issues we did not know we had at the time. The professionals at Popa created a floor plan of our home to ensure efficient heating and cooling with the new units we'd be installing. Fabian and Oscar worked on relocating our air conditioner outside, installing a new furnace, and rerouting ductwork in our home. They also took time to teach us how to use our new smart thermostat. We are highly satisfied with how professional and knowledgable they were. My family already notices a big improvement with the performance of our new air conditioner. Popa Heating and Cooling installed our new high efficiency furnace and air conditioner today. we went from an old old furnace to a state of the art furnace. Shane helped us decide on the on which system to purchase, he is extremely knowledgable, and a pleasure to work with. All aspects of the installation look great. John, Oscar, Shane, and Fabian are all so professional and very nice. They answered all of our questions, worked and worked all day long, kept everything clean, and insured everything was perfect before leaving. My wife and I are very impressed with everyone at Popa Heating and Cooling. I highly recommend them. I will certainly only use them from now on. Great experience! I had a whole house dehumidifier installed and we have multiple zones in my house. That created an issue with pushing air to the house (zones closed) when the dehumidifier was on, but not the AC (blower). Rather than working first and figuring it out as they go, the guys (Ramon) made a few calls, talked to tech support and found the solution. Most impressive was after the original call, he still wasn't 100% satisfied, so he called a 2nd time & found the right answer. I'll take someone saying "I don't know" and doing some research rather than making mistakes w/ assumptions any day. Simple equation really...great people + great service = new customer. read more

We woke up to a chilly house this morning. The furnace stopped working during the night. I called Popa's and the BEST technician ever was at our house within an hour, identified the issue, worked with the office to secure the replacement part, and returned promptly to do the repair. Many thanks to Shane Vanderwoode for his knowledge, skill, and customer focus in getting the repair done. Thanks to Pat for helping get the part to Shane. Pat (the owner), Fabian, Shane and Jon (the installers) were fantastic. Pat took the time to do load calculations (the only estimate provider to do so) and she had straight forward pricing. She showed me the price in her book. The guys that installed the system were great! Fabian did a full-set of measurements the day before, and did all the fabrication before coming, expediting the install. Jon and Shane were great too, completing the install. It was clean and neat. He came , he diagnosed and he fixed. What more can be said. In fact, he came early and did more than he was suppose to do. I was scheduled to have maintenance on Monday, June 8. So he killed two birds with one stone. Replaced thermostat (that was why the air would not come on) and since he was scheduled for this coming Monday, he asked if he could do it today.
