Could not have been happier or more appreciative to deal with Mark. I noticed the air was barely blowing out of our vents on a Friday evening. Saturday was supposed to be warm and humid (rain impending), in addition we have a 3 month old that has shown to be very sensitive to being warm. I sent an email to Collins just before midnight, hoping that I would have a response from them on Saturday. To my delight, I woke up to a response from Mark from 430am saying that they would be able to get to our house in the morning. What a relief! Mark talked through the issues we were having, recharged our unit (which immediately fixed the problem) and discussed a good plan for maintenance moving forward. Besides doing great work, Mark is a very nice man and spent time talking with my wife and children. It's hard to be new in an area. I called Collins Heating because my furnace was just blowing cold air. I had another Heating & Cooling company out to my house two days prior for the same problem. The first company changed my furnace filter and left. Mark. the owner of Collins Heating, came the same day I called. My house temperature was in the 50's and night was coming. Mark checked my 24 year old furnace with electronic testing equipment and found that the memory board had burned one of its parts. He was very informative and showed me the burnt part. He checked his truck and amazingly, he found a replacement for my 24 year old memory board. When he left I had warm heat blowing through the registers. Mark was very friendly, knowledgeable and concerned. His first thought was not to sell me a new furnace. Mark is the absolute best. He is dependable and trustworthy. We bought a house in the late fall last year and the furnace had been neglected and needed to be looked at. We searched and called Mark out for a fall 'tune up'. He was quick to respond to our request and had an appointment the following week. Mark came out and was wonderful. He explained every detail of what was happening, took pictures and video. Luckily he was able to keep us up and running for a short time throughout the bitter below zero spell in December until he replaced the unit completely shortly thereafter. It is working like a charm. Our furnace was acting up, or so we thought it was the furnace, and looked on this site to find a repair company. We (family, parents) have been burned before with bogus repairs, cleanings, unneeded sensors and didn't know who to trust. Collins H & C is a company we will deal with from now on. He answered promptly and came out the same day within 2 hours. He went down and looked at the furnace. Within 10 minutes Mark knew exactly what was wrong. He didn't try to up sell a cleaning or sensors. It was our thermostat. We were still "old school" with a 20 year old dial one. He replaced our dial with a digital one. I would recommend 100%. We're first time home buyers and our furnace went out the 1st month we moved in. We called to schedule a service call through our home warranty program HSA. They were going to send us a company who has terrible reviews. We didn't trust them in our home. We went in search on our own for a better company. After reading the reviews I called right away. When my mom's furnace went out, I started calling around to find someone who could replace hers. I ordered her two space heaters to help while we waited to get someone. We were in the market for a new AC unit in April. Mark was more than willing to meet me up on a very short notice to give me a quote. We decided to go with Collins for a New Central AC unit. Called the owner Mark to give me an estimate on a new ac unit because another company said i needed a new one. Actually, they said they could fix it with a $500.00 special order fan motor and could not diagnose any other issues without making the ac run with that part. So they recommended a new one and tried to sell me one of theirs that started at $4,500.00! Mark showed up and asked if he could look at it before he gives me a quote. I love it when I can promote a GREAT business!! Mr. Ortiz was very courteous, prompt and professional. When I called on late Friday afternoon, I did not expect "ok, I can be there in a hour". Wow!! A/C started leaking on Monday. Called for repair around 4PM and was told someone would be out today between 11 and 3. Mark the owner arrived today around Noon.
