Our basement toilet and shower was backing up. Everything from the top of the house, backed up down there. We called Young Plumbing, they came same day. First they tried to rod and it was getting stuck. So they sent someone out the next next to try and get a camera through and it too got stuck and they also tried rodding it out more. They actually spent 4 hours doing so. So they scheduled us an appointment to install a clean out, outside of our home. We thought our yard would be damage. we had just did a lot of landscaping but they promised us, they would do a great job, to not interfere with it. They did just that. they came on time and completed what they started in under 4 hours. They gave me instructions to water the dirt pile, so that it can settle back into the ground, so that my yard would look leveled and I followed their instructions. her we are day two and the pile is settling perfectly, my plumbing issue is fixed and I am a satisfied customer. I had zero issues with this company. I recommend them to anyone in the area, that may need their assistance. Also when Mr John Young was working that excavato, my kids were in the window, making up a song, it was pretty neat. I showed him the video and he was really happy about it. I had a sewer backup causing some minor flooding in my finished basement just weeks after purchasing a home, and Young Plumbing was able to come out within hours of a call, route the drain line and rectify the problem. I was a little nervous initially because they wouldn't even quote me a ballpark to do the work, but their service charge to come out and diagnose it was reasonable, so I gave them a try: once they diagnosed it, they quoted a really reasonable price and waived the service charge as they were able perform the work right then. Tom spent some extra time to explain the plumbing system in the new house and give helpful advice to prevent issues even unrelated to the one he was there to fix. Laura in the office was great to work with and quick to respond; I've had the chance now to meet four of Young's technicians, and each one has been professional and seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately, we've had a follow up issue with the sewer issue, but Young went out of their way to deal with it ethically and reasonably, which has put them over the top in my eyes and caused me to stop what I'm doing and write this review. I was very pleased that Tom and Jay were able to come out on a Sunday and install a new shower fixture to replace one that was snapped off at the valve, which forced us to leave our water turned off for several hours. They were prompt, courteous, and the cost was in the ballpark of what I would expected for the amount of work that actually needed to be done...on a Sunday. Aside from their professional handling of my situation, they were courteous, kind, and friendly. The installation came with a two-year warranty. You can't really ask for more than that. Looking at some of the reviews on here, I understand that there are some folks who think that a plumber should cost next to nothing. The fact is, plumbing is a trade, not a hang out for unskilled laborers, and the people who perform that trade put a lot of time and effort into their training for this trade. You cannot expect someone to walk through the door to do this kind of work for less than three or four hundred dollars. You also cannot expect a professional to give you an estimate over the phone without even seeing what the job is. I had a pipe burst during the severe cold snap of winter 2019. I happened to have contractors out already doing a different job so Young's was really the only company able to respond quickly (I called 4 or 5). Eric S was out within an hour or so. He just got to work right away and fixed my problem in less than an hour, outside, in that same severe below zero weather. I'm very grateful to Young's and they are now my guys. I also recently bought a new place so wanted to replace my hot water heater and wanted the same guy - he was just a decent working man such as myself, calm and easy to talk to I just trusted him and requested him again and he was able to determine that I had some CO risk which I wasn't aware of and replaced my hot water heater also immediately. We had water dripping into our furnace room from the pipes in the ceiling above. The drywall was wet and the water had seeped into the carpet on other side of the wall. We called at 2:30 in the morning and spoke to a real person. Tom and Jay came out the same day. They even came 3 hours earlier than originally scheduled. They were very helpful and talked me through the whole process. They had to get inside a wall to repair the leak. They found it very quickly with minimal damage to the wall. The repair took less than 2 hours. They were very helpful and professional. They left me with the damaged section of pipe and informed me that the type of damage that I had should qualify for some level of reimbursement from my homeowners policy. My water heater broke and I called Young Plumbing to replace it. When they arrived, they said that the type of water heater I had wasn't made anymore. So, they called their suppliers to try to find one and after a day, I was pleased to hear one had been located. Justin came out the same day and replaced the heater quickly and efficiently. The location of the heater is a half-basement so Justin was not able to stand straight up during the installation. Regardless, he was polite and in good spirits, never complaining about the job. He also answered all my questions about the operation and maintenance of the heater. Overall, I found Young Plumbing to be very reliable and were quick at getting back to me with information. My washing machine drain line was backing up and was incorrectly piped so we needed some repair work done. Tony & Ed took great care in removing my new kitchen floor panels, then had to break up a section of the concrete slab floor, make the drain repair, repour concrete, and then cleared out the drain line. They were so impressive with their problem solving and very fair with their pricing. They cleaned up absolutely everything so there was no mess left when they were done. Once the concrete had 24-48 hours to completely set I was able to put the flooring right back in place because of how meticulous Tony was when removing it for his repair work. Eric & Shane arrived at my home to repair a bathroom sink drain. I must say, it was the best home repair experience I have ever had. Young Plumbing sent someone out to give an estimate the same day they were called. Eric and Shane inspected the problem of leaking gas lines and spent their time explaining how and why all the gas pipes needed replacing. (it is an old home) Due to the amount of work, they could not start that day. Eric and Shane were at our house working before 8 am the next morning. They did not finish until 10 pm. We've never had repairmen work so hard and continuously like them. The house was left clean and put back together. Eric and Shane answered all of our questions. And the problem is now fixed! Had Tom come out to my clients today. My clients just had their first baby today as well and we had major back up could not flush toilets and water was coming out of shower and bathtub. We had an emergency call with a backed up sewer line . We originally called the plumbers we usually use and after waiting 3 days the guy came out and couldn't rod it out claimed pipe was broke. We then called Young plumbing and they sent out 2 guys Tom and Tony. They had it open and flowing within about 8 minute. Our hot water heater died on Monday. I called Young Plumbing in the afternoon and they scheduled an appointment for Tuesday. On Tuesday morning the office called and asked if they could come out early. Whoa! Tony and Ed arrived 15 minutes later. The confirmed I needed a new unit. They had the same size unit on their truck. I authorized them to install it. They took old unit away and had the new unit working in 75 minutes. The guys were professional and courteous, and did not mind that I asked questions about how the unit functions and the installation. They also installed all new hardware and connectors. Took care of everything, explained everything, cleaned up everything. He lefted up with a detailed report on what was done.
