Jim at P.J.'s wrote up a detailed estimate, and got all the work done on March 13, 2025, in budget. He picked out a kitchen sink based on my mom's general description ("Farmer style sink with high faucet") and she was very happy with the final result. He found that the roof vent pipe was clogged with one portion corroded and leaking, which is why all drains were always slow. He rodded out a basement drain that was mostly blocked, too. Now all the drains run faster than ever. During Jim's final review, he noticed a small leak from plumbing that he didn't touch at all (he showed me) -- it was dripping down some pipes to the crawl space, so it was actually happening since the last time some plumbing work was done. He came out early the next morning to work on this. It was not easy crawling up into a small wall cavity from a porthole near the basement ceiling to locate the leak. He opened up the wall behind the upstairs bathroom vanity and worked through that space to fix it, so there was nothing outwardly visible that we would have to refinish later. After a couple hours, Jim did another walkthrough with me, and his extra charge was reasonable. Everything looks professional and works great. We will continue to call P.J.'s first for any future work.

From our first consultation with Mike, the owner, to demo and installation, our experience was terrific. Mike explained all aspects of our new equipment, the installation, and the benefits of our compact but powerful ultra-efficient system. Mike and his crew completed the installation in two days, and we couldn't be happier with the results. The system is quiet, compact, efficient, and definitely an upgrade to the previous system. Home heating and hot water technology have certainly evolved, and Mike and the team at L & H can definitely help you to improve your home's comfort, lessen your environmental impact, and give you peace of mind. We are thrilled with our experience with L & H and think you will be, too.

Are you worried about paying way too much for an HVAC repair?…read more We called L&H because our furnace stopped working. It's not the first time we called L&H--we've used them before when we had issues with our furnace (our furnace is 27 years old but in excellent shape because we keep it well maintained.) We received a call back and were told that they couldn't find parts for a furnace that old and we would need to replace the entire furnace for approximately $5500. That was for a single stage Armstrong furnace. It would be more if we wanted to put in a two-stage furnace like the one we currently have. We called another shop for a second opinion and they came out and found some heater vents that were blocked, pushed a button to reset a circuit breaker on a blower fan (that we bought from L&H about 5 years ago!) and the problem was fixed. Total cost $80. The second repairman recommended we replace a flame sensor because it was slightly loose, but that wasn't a critical problem. He also said parts are readily available and ordered it for us to replace later. This is one of the parts L & H said was no longer available. We received a bill for about $200 from L & H. I called and spoke with them about what had transpired hoping they would (obviously!) waive the bill they sent us. They said they would take $50.00 off the bill and could not explain why they wanted to sell us a $5500 furnace instead of just pushing the circuit breaker button on the blower motor they sold us about 5 years ago. Even more amazing? L&H denied trying to sell us a new furnace. I repeated back the quote they gave us along with the brand name (Armstrong) and they STILL denied ever telling us we needed a new furnace. So, my experience with L & H was they tried to charge us $5500 while their competition charged $80 for the repair. Obviously we don't recommend them and have taken them off our preferred vendor list. Caveat Emptor!

A new sewage line told me it had collapsed over and over and over. I paid extra to go get the camera and put it down the and the drain, but they would only go down through the clean out where it connected to the drain and wouldn't go any further and said yes there's roots. I said yes can you push through the roots and he said no I'm not going to Then I proceeded to ask to use your router and go through the roots and see what's in there? No I'm not going to your drain's collapsed. Is what I was told 100% collapsed. My sister came over with a gallon of dish unclogged my drain so the router that I had got stuck in there came out with ease and then we proceeded to go through the and routed it out there as well and my drain 100% my sewer line is intact and now clean and free of no thanks to this company that swore 100% that my drain was collapsed and wanted $14,000 to replace it I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy They charged me $612 for the service $432 was for the camera, which I still don't believe I should pay for. $160 was for 30 minutes of trying to get my routers unstuck from the drain even that is questionable because I had to beg him to let his partner both tug on the router and finally he agreed and we got it unstuck up till about 30 feet and then it got stuck again and he says I'm not pulling no more And asked his friend to go get him his coffee from the truck while he stood there scratching his chin and thinking about it, looking at it and saying yeah, this is really stuck. Yeah it's probably collapsed. I'm sure of it while I'm paying $80 every 15 minutes.. after that is when we decided to get the camera fiasco. They are totally bogus and we're just out for the big money and easy money

When he left my house on 4/4 he stated that he would return if there was any issue relating to the repairs that he personally worked on. Now, when I initially contacted him on 4/16 regarding this ongoing matter, he was very dismissive. I got the impression that he did not want to come back out to inspect the issue. He asked me to look at my water meter below my stairs to see if something was spinning. I have no clue as I'm not a Plumber. I sent a photo. I asked if he wouldn't mind coming back out to see what the issue was. He just responded "ok". I didn't hear back so I followed up with him on today 4/22 and his response is to call back out the contractors that I had cut a hole in my wall for him to fix the repair initially. My insurance was covering the costs of those contractors due to unrelated water damage. So now he wants me to pay for contractors to come back out, cut another hole in my wall, repair drywall and repaint so he can inspect the hose bib that he attempted to repair. As his response was if he came out there's nothing he would be able to see without the hole being cut. I am beyond frustrated. Of course I'm not doing that. So I essentially I paid David a little over $300 for nothing. I still can't use my spigot without water leaking into my home. I now have to say that I do not recommend his services based on my recent experience. I'm rating him 2 stars because he made himself available initially with the quick turnaround. Although, I still have the same issue that he came to repair. And I asked several times if the hose bib that he repaired was the issue (while contractors were still present and the hole was still open) and he assured me that is was and stated that he showed me the pipe with the hole in it. Welp, if it was not sure why I still can't use my spigot and have wet carpet when it's turned on as well as potential risk of water flooding my home again if it were to be turned on for a period of time. Initial review: David was "Johnny-on-the-spot" as they say. I'm very grateful. I contacted him on Yelp on Thursday 4/3 with an extremely tight window for Friday 4/4 to repair a Hose Bib while my contractors were present so they could cut a hole in the wall to allow him to do the repair. With less than a days notice he was able to oblige. He was punctual, fairly priced and made the repair quickly. I highly recommend David's services!
