Tiana is amazing. I cannot recommend her and her business enough. I am hypermobile, and I started…read morecoming here in May 2024 without any Pilates experience. I did two solo sessions with Tiana, and I have gone multiple times almost every week since then. It has been a huge help for me. I've built a much better mind-body connection, a solid Pilates foundation, and some toned-up muscle. Every class, Tiana makes sure that everyone in attendance feels empowered to move their bodies regardless of their experience level. The classes are welcoming, educational, and get you feeling great in your body. I'm moving out of state soon and doubt I'll be able to find a Pilates studio, instructor, or community as welcoming and empowering as this one. If you're wondering if this is the place for you, give it a go. You'll love it.

We found convenient street parking. Don't let the location dissuade you from giving this studio a try. I've been doing Pilates reformer classes weekly for the past 15 years. I was delighted to find Pilates Ritual so much so that I came back the next day for a second class. Love, love, love the vibe of this beautiful, clean, and aesthetically calming studio. Every detail is attended to. It looks and feels like an upscale spa with well stocked refreshments of quality coffees and teas. The equipment is brand spanking new and meticulously cared for. Now, the best part of it all is the owner/Pilates instructor, Tiana. She is one of the most gifted and enthusiastic instructors I've met. Her instructions, cuing, and suggestions are some of the best I've experienced over the years. She has a keen ability of reading her clients' bodies and masterfully facilitating a flow that feels customized to address their skill level and anything they might be working on. Her group class felt like a private class. The time flew by quickly. And, Tiana is just a very nice person. If I lived in Spokane full-time, Pilates Ritual would be my home studio.

Small class sizes, awesome (well-trained) instructors, and top of the line equipment make for an enjoyable experience. The instuctors do a good job of modifying routines to address individual health issues (bad knees, recovering from shoulder surgery, etc). The overall atmosphere is fun and supportive. The studios are welcoming for all ages and genders. Highly recommend!

*"I had high hopes when I joined Club Pilates, but unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly…read moredisappointing. The membership is $200 per month, and you're locked into a three-month contract, no matter what. On top of that, if you can't predict 12 hours in advance that a health condition will flare up and prevent you from attending class, you get hit with a $15 fee per missed class--on top of what you're already paying. As someone with a degenerative bone disease, I found this policy completely unrealistic and inflexible. Life happens, and medical conditions don't follow a schedule. Instead of offering understanding or accommodations, the studio prioritizes profit over people. If you're considering joining, be aware that you're signing up for rigid policies and extra charges that make it difficult for anyone with an unpredictable schedule or health condition to participate.** Definitely not worth it.**"*

I have been trying to get into yoga for years and have never found a space I enjoy. The Mat is the first studio where I want to go back. The floors are great for me because they are covered in a firm mat. This way the floors a firm enough to support you through poses, but give a little to help my knees and other sensitive areas like my tail bone. The studio has accessories like blocks and straps available so that you don't need to bring them. The cleaning solution smells wonderful, like eucalyptus, so the studio smells more like a spa and less like a gym. They have multiple classes including restorative, power, and intro to yoga. The studio offers "hot yoga", but not Bikhram hot. This is great because it keeps my muscles warm without making me sick with heat. It is a small studio, so the instructors are able to give each student personal attention. The instructors watch your form, and help motivate you to move on to the next level when you are ready. They also support beginners and those of us with strength or flexibility limitations with the modified poses and remind the class that yoga is a personal practice, not a competition. This studio is great for all levels, and the different classes allow you to relax or get a butt kicking workout. The students are all very friendly as well, and I don't not feel judged. It is a welcoming environment and I actually enjoy yoga finally.
