I recently hired Robin of Uninterrupted Space as my wedding DJ and he did an amazing job!…read more Tl;dr: if you need a DJ and are considering hiring Robin, you should! Right from the beginning, Robin was responsive and detailed, answering all of my questions and providing info about his process. He sent over a multi-page info sheet for us to fill out with all of the fine details of our wedding day, which he reviewed with us during a check-in call the week of our wedding. It was clear that he spent time reviewing this document and had a general timeline for the day. I was fairly hands-off aside from providing my wedding details, I checked a few boxes about the genres of music that we liked and left the rest to Robin. On the day of our wedding, Robin arrived several hours early to set up at our reception venue before heading over to our ceremony venue. When we threw him a curveball and needed two handheld mics (instead of lapel mics) for our ceremony, he went back across the street to pick up that equipment without hesitation. During our reception, he followed the timeline we outlined, made the few announcements we had, and checked in with us from time to time. He even threw in a few nerdy Star Trek references (our table names were Star Trek ships and he was on board with this from day one!), completely unprompted, but it showed us that he clearly paid attention to our details and wanted everyone to have a good time. Some of our friends requested some pretty obscure songs throughout the night and Robin did a great job adding those to the playlist. He totally nailed it with the music selection the whole night. My husband developed a migraine and generally wasn't feeling well shortly after dinner, and Robin was kind and thoughtful, checking in on him to make sure that the dance floor lights and music volume weren't making him feel worse. Overall, we had a really wonderful experience with Robin and 10/10 would absolutely hire him again for future events.

I munched on hot Cheetos and drank soju and had a great time singing the night away! We got two mics. We made the BEST CHOICE!!!!! Even in the compressed planning sequence these guys were phenomenal. They helped to guide us and stayed in contact throughout. The vast majority of our guests all commented how this was the best/funnest wedding they have ever been to and that is largely due to Andre. Andre is a consummate professional! This is not a side gig for him or something like that....... this is what he does and he does it to the highest of standards. His ability to read the crowd, adapt to changing environments and engage every member present speaks volumes to his professionalism. We could go on and on about Activsound, Randy & Andre but we will sum it up with this......... There is no way this company and the men that run it can be beat. In our (and all of our guests (who aren't always easy)) opinions they are quite simply the industry leaders and you will not regret hiring them to be a part of your very special day.

We hired Randy and his crew to DJ our wedding this last June and he exceeded all our expectations…read more His assistance with planning the reception was invaluable. He was extremely professional, taking time to figure out our tastes in music, and asking the great questions to ensure we got the most out of our wedding night. On top of that, he gave us a very competitive price. We ended up getting the premium package (with lasers) -- it was awesome. On the day of the wedding, we did a buffet-style dinner, assuming it would be a somewhat boring waiting period for our guests. Randy took the initiative and started a game of "Name that Tune", sending the winner's table to get their food while our guests laughed and watched the impromptu show. The music was incredible. Randy was a hilarious MC, keeping everyone laughing as he steered the night's events. He kept the dance floor packed all night. All of our 150 guests told us that "The DJ is amazing", while at least half of them told us it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding. Entertainment is often overlooked at most weddings and we are so happy we had ActivSound there for ours. Not only this, but his website and event details he had posted were falsely advertised. After questioning this on Facebook (note: publicly in the reviews), he messaged back with a modified screenshot of his website page and then referred to us as "sounding crazy". This is not a complaint against anything except his character and how rude he handled the situation at hand. There is a certain way to speak to someone and telling them to "get the F*ck out" of a venue, is not one of them. Also, not specifying your rules and regulations for not only your business but the venue is not only unprofessional but unethical, negligent, and unprincipled.
