Such a cute bagel/sandwich place! It's located in the very fun colonial city area of norfolk, and the curb appeal is certainly there. The staff were all very nice, and the service was fast! The inside is also very modern and clean, with an upstairs I wasn't able to explore. I got a build your own bagel sandwich: Whole wheat everything bagel, pastrami, pepper jack cheese, avocado, tomato, and lettuce. The first bite was a perfect salty & savory experience. I also loved that the avocado was mashed instead of whole slices. Over all, a really good bagel! I just wish it was bigger, so I could have more to enjoy!! I also grabbed a carrot cake cookie. I'll update my review when I have it later today!

I thought this was diamond in the rough. The location and overall atmosphere was accommodating and welcoming. There was plenty of seating on the inside, even despite there being a line. And I really enjoyed that there was an outdoor option for when it's really nice outside. I thought for the price and taste. The food was delicious. I thought that you could really taste each part of your bagel and I would definitely come back to try other items on their menu!

Started my morning off right with a breakfast burrito that was hearty, filling, and genuinely satisfying -- with a hash brown tucked right inside, which was a nice touch. Paired it with an iced vanilla chai latte and took it all outside to enjoy in the sun. Hard to think of a better way to kick off the day. My order was quick and the cashier was friendly. Cute & fun. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a solid breakfast spot.

It was nice to finally find a new bagel place. Our bagels were both delicious. My sandwich was yummy but I'll def ask them to be light on the cream cheese next time when I order a sandwich. It was very messy and kind of ruined being able to eat it. It would have also been nice if the sandwich was cut in half. There were tons of different options other than breakfast sandwiches.. soups, apple cider, cookies etc. I took a half a dozen bagels home and their homemade cream cheese.. looking forward to trying it! The place seemed well kept together and clean. The woman at the front was nice too! I'd say if you're looking for a bagel spot, check it out!

A real gem of a restaurant. Food and service are perfection. Wide ranging vegan/vegetarian menu. Staff is totally awesome. Food was served expertly prepared. I ate the vegan Philly cheese steak and it was soooo good. Amazingly good. Hummus as the side dish and that was always delightful. Prices are fair and the ambiance is cozy quaint. Two levels of seating and a small Outdoor area in front. A new favorite.

During a recent trip, my wife and I decided to try this bagel shop after reading all the glowing reviews. First impressions were promising--the place is super cute, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you're about to enjoy an incredible bagel. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. We both tried the onion bagel with plain cream cheese. While the flavor was decent, the texture was disappointing. A good bagel should have that signature chew that makes your jaws work for it--this one felt more like a roll or a piece of bread. We also sampled the cinnamon raisin bagel with a sweet-flavored cream cheese (cinnamon, I think). The overall flavor profile was off--it tasted artificial in a way that wasn't enjoyable. As for drinks, I had an iced chai tea, which had a gingerbread-like flavor. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either, and it didn't quite hit the mark for a classic chai. Overall, if you're craving a real, chewy bagel experience, this may not be the spot for you. We probably won't return.

Ok I am done. $3.25 for a bagel with butter. High but. Ok. THEN to add another $1.30 for "light butter" that is criminal!!!!!! Sad the bagels are extremely good. But hidden costs are for cars not bagels.

Very good and fresh! Won't be disappointed. They have excellent bagels and great selection. Their vegan herb cream cheese is great plus other vegan options. Solid bagel w/smear and coffee. Got a sesame bagel toasted with scallion cream cheese and it was exactly as it sounds. Perhaps I haven't had enough bagels in my life to differentiate in quality, but there was nothing about the bagel that I didn't like, but also nothing about it that was mind blowing. Coffee was solid, but I prefer a darker roast. Overall, this seems like a place that could please anyone's tastes! Their menu is extensive and prices are very reasonable. Next time I'll definitely have to try the lox. There is a good amount of seating and free wifi so you can spend a morning doing some work too with breakfast. read more

Quaint little hole in the wall you've probably driven by a hundred times without noticing! A friend and I stumbled upon this little gem one summer day while touring the town afoot. My bagel sandwich was just ok. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't good. There was entirely too much cream cheese on the bagel. All that cream cheese made me feel disgusted so I threw half of the sandwich in the trash. The salmon tasted weird. Something was off about it. I'm not disappointed because I wanted to try them at least once but I probably would not go back again. read more

Vegan friendly. I'm not a vegan, but I love eating vegan food. I call it opening my mind. The vegan Philly cheesesteak is delicious! A gem in Norfolk, I didn't know about until today. There are so many options here! I got a sourdough bagel with egg and muenster cheese and my husband got a lox bagel. We both thoroughly enjoyed them! The only downside is that this place gets very busy and chaotic and the space is not very conducive for it. read more

The menu at Yorgos is AWESOME. APPLE cider is amazing. Service and atmosphere are nice. They offer vegan, vegetarian, Kosher, as well as any meat eater variety. Food was fantastic! Bagels were fresh and warm, egg and cheese were delicious. We will definitely come back and try it again. read more

Literally ran into this place today and I'm sure glad I did! Was in the mood for a really good egg sandwich after church but figured there would be a ton of Sunday morning crowds everywhere. My suspicions were right and as I drove to head home defeated, i passed this place and decided to stop. There was a line out the door but everyone had patient and pleased expressions on their faces so we figured we would risk it. I had a garlic bagel with egg and cheese, my daughter ordered an everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. I was surprised to see that they had fresh juices so I grabbed a carrot and ginger. Line moved shockingly fast and food was AWESOME! Exactly what I wanted. We have lived in Norfolk for a little over a year and never knew this place was here. Making this a regular stop from now on! Friendly staff, cute location with outdoor seating available and they even give away bagels to those in need read more

Cute little restaurant in Ghent. Parking is not the greatest. They have a really tiny parking lot. Came here for breakfast because my mom wanted fresh bagels. I like that they have different kinds of bagels other than your typical bagel flavors you get at DD or grocery stores. For instance, my dad likes everything bagel, but only eats whole wheat...uhhh...they have whole wheat everything bagel!! They also have a variety of cream cheese options including vegan. My sister, ho lives in New York City, doesn't eat dairy, so she ordered the vegan cream cheese. She did compare it to New York's vegan cream cheese and didn't think it was up to par. She said it tasted fake. I ordered the lox sandwich. It was OK. The salmon didn't seem fresh and the sandwich itself was pretty small, but the prices were great compared to other bagel restaurants. I wouldn't mind going back if I was in the area. read more

Great, low key spot with tons of inexpensive vegan options. I stopped in for an early lunch and had the vegan Philly cheesesteak and it was so tasty! It was, however, very oily. I had vegan potato salad as a side. I was flying home that day and lunch was so good I decided to get a wrap to take with me on the plane. I got the vegan egg salad wrap and a huge cookie to go. Cookie was overly oily as well. Overall super positive experience and I would definitely return. read more

Their bagels are delicious as is the honey walnut cream cheese. Not a fan of the egg I ordered on the side . You can only get scrambled . I had to ask how was it cooked . Was told on flat top with oil ,either the used dirty or cheap oil. Couldn't eat it. read more

I love this place so much! They have so many yummy food for the health conscious or not so health conscious. They have vegan options which is fantastic for when I'm on the go and it's my meatless meal day! They have a beet and orange juice mix and it's sooo good! And the staff are always nice and up beat. This place is always busy and that how you know it's good quality food. You cannot ask for anything at a brunch spot except if they can stay open longer! Lol. I'm just saying, I wouldn't mind having breakfast for dinner! Hehe read more

We went here for the first time this morning and we were delighted! The most delicious bagels we've ever had. Plenty of vegan options. Make sure you check your order before you go. We were missing a bagel that we paid for. We were disappointed but not mad. Everyone makes mistakes. Only disappointed because we know we would have truly enjoyed eating the missing bagel. They are handling the social distancing very well, and I love the staff's bagel masks. read more

Went in (super excited) for the very first time this Saturday morning. Ordered a toasted everything bagel with scallion cream cheese to go. Figured an everything bagel is the gold standard, you know? Wish I could tell you how the bagel was - but when I got home (5 minutes later) turns out I had a freezing cold lump they slathered yellowed, lopsided, chunky jalapeno cream cheese on instead. ....I'm allergic to jalapenos. Thanks for wasting my money! read more

This is an awesome little bagel joint with good coffee and friendly staff. I just moved to town and I had the deli egg on a garlic bagel. It was so good I went back the next weekend and got 4 more for my coworkers. The staff is always nice and they are fast and efficient. If you're a vegetarian or vegan or kosher they have a ton of options, all affordable and all delicious. I will be a regular without a question. read more

Yorgo's never disappoints! I've come here multiple times and their bagels taste amazing. I got the day old bagels for a deal one time and they made my week. Their eggs are cooked deliciously. I highly suggest this place if you're ever in the area. read more

When you get them fresh, this is one of the best bagels I have ever had. I go out of my way to try bagels from all of the bagel shops when I travel, so I know my way around a bagel; this here is a good one. Plus the ice coffee is out of this world. read more

Either way, is a movie each time. Hours are 6am-2pm I believe so I try to get there early enough to catch the fresh options of bagels. Bangin'! All in all, don't walk...RUN here! Yorgo's Bageldashery offers a welcoming and charming atmosphere, featuring a cute storefront, ample seating, and an inviting upstairs bar. The service was friendly, efficient, and well organized. The menu includes a wide variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors, with notably generous cream cheese portions. We tried the sourdough bagel with lox cream cheese and the salt bagel with scallion cream cheese. While the sourdough bagel was enjoyable, the salt bagel was overly salty for our taste. Overall, the bagels are good but not particularly standout, as the cream cheese base tastes fairly standard with added mix-ins. Still, the variety and atmosphere make this a spot worth revisiting, and we would be open to trying different menu combinations in the future. It was also nice to see the shop offering free bagels for a good cause. The toasted challah roll is my go-to choice instead of a bagel -- it adds such a great touch. A tip I'd give is to make sure you add some of the free fixins'. Without them, the sandwich can feel a bit one-dimensional in terms of flavor. I went with herb mayo and horseradish sauce on my breakfast sandwich, along with lettuce and a few other toppings, and it was perfect. Challah puffs and cream cheese is my top breakfast when I am looking for a good time - forget the calories - Breakfast. A most fantastic menu in an area full of good restaurants. The bagels are good but not like NY thus only 4 stars. BUT what you put on those bagels is amazing. It gets crowded but the service stays on top of it and the place smells terrific. So many coffees to chose from. Be sure to try the breakfast burrito and the cinnamon with the pecan honey cream cheese and you will be a huge fan. read more

I've been going to Yorgo's regularly for 10 years now. The food is consistently fresh and delicious and the customer service is friendly and welcoming. I have never had a bad or even mediocre experience here. I absolutely love all the vegan and vegetarian options they have and the bagels remind me of my childhood. I believe that Yorgo's is one of the top restaurants in Norfolk because they keep it simple and do what they do exceptionally well. read more

All I can say is wow! This place never disappoints! I tend to wander in Yorgos around 11am on Saturdays and they have such a great selection of breakfast and lunch items to fit whatever mood I'm in! Their bagels are always fresh and delicious! I've been to other bagel places that always have tough bagels which is no good on a sandwich. Luckily I've never experienced that here. This place was given to us by the gods as the perfect hangover cure. The bagels are among the best I have ever had. Even better they have lots of really good veggie and vegan options.
