I love Yorgos. We take every visitor we have here. Salmon bagel is fantastic. Lots of great vegan stuff if that's your tune. Drinks are also fantastic. Don't miss the upstairs area, the vibe up there is great. read more

This shop NEVER disappoints. The bagels are always fresh and tasty. I love their egg and cheese bagels because they make sure it's actually cheesy! Their jalapeño cream cheese is spicy perfection. I also enjoy the various flavors they have for their coffee, I enjoy a coconut flavored iced coffee almost every time I go. The shop may look busy especially on Sunday mornings but their service is speedy! read more

First time customer, it happened to be on a day when their credit card machine was down and I did not have any cash. The staff graciously offered to buy my bagel if I paid it forward! Who does that?! The bagel was delicious, the customer service was excellent. Will definitely be returning! I also paid it forward at lunchtime leaving a 100% tip! All derived from kindness at Yorgo's! read more

Had the Farmer's Sandwich on gf bread and my husband had the bagel with lox. Both were good! Got some Challah bread pudding to go.

For a bagel cafe, one would think that the actual bagels would be top-notch. Far from it. Got a garlic bagel with a lox schmear. As far as actual garlic on a bagel I had to look hard for it, and the bake quality was lacking. It was too far underdone with a mushy exterior. As far as the spread I had to get out my microscope to see if there were any pieces of lox actually present. I don't know what the line was for, and I don't know why anybody raves over this place. Norfolk is starving for a good bagel. They cannot hold a candle to Bagel Baker IMO. Really disappointed. Brewed coffee was average. Upstairs seating area nice. read more

You what I love more than chocolate - SOME DANK AF BAGELS. this place is great for grabbing a bite to eat Before work or sitting down and catching up with friends. You go up to the counter and choose from an array of bagels, wraps, or sandwiches. They offer a lot of vegan options and substitutions so any dietary restrictions can be met. The prices are affordable and the quality of the food is phenomenal. What sets this place apart from other bagel places is that you can get your bagel scooped. Meaning they will take the extra bits of the bagels out so that you'll have room for more fillings, cream cheese, and anything else your heart desires. I decided to order a whole wheat everything bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. I decided to add a couple of the free add-ons, and the bagel was thic and filling. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty packed. It took about 15 minutes to get the food, but given the amount of other patrons, the wait was justified. I can't wait to visit Norfolk again so I can try these delicious bagels again. read more

Best bagel I've had outside of NYC!!!! The challah bread is amazing too! It's a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch -- I highly recommend it! read more

Thr people making the food do NOT practice good hygiene. The woman at the register coughs in her hands, picks up your food and bags it. The people prepping food touch their faces, hair and everything else in the back and DO NOT wear gloves and touch your food. it is really gross! read more

Line was out the door but got through ordering quickly. I had the deliegg sandwich on an everything bagel. The food was alright, with the bagel being very tough and chewy. I had an iced vanilla latte and it was just ok. No real outstanding flavor. Service was quick and plenty of seating available. read more

After a couple of great visits I would love to share my experiences. The location is about as central Ghent as you can get which is a positive. Parking however is a negative when busy on the weekends. There is parking in the front, rear and side. Other than that I'm unsure where else you can park legally. My first visit was a breakfast visit around 9 AM and they were busy, but not mobbed. However, that changed by the time I left at 10 AM. A few tables were not cleared and cleaned and the place was around 75% capacity. There are two booths by the window, the rest is table and chairs. Not a big place, but they do a lot of take out. On both occasions counter service was friendly and helpful when selecting items. My second visit was a weekday mid-morning breakfast. No issues with parking or seating at all. All tables cleared and the floors were tidy. This is a self bus place. The menu is pretty huge and you can customize your item right down to the types of cheeses and wraps. First visit was a breakfast beef burrito with American cheese. It was really yum. I also ordered a coffee which was passable, nothing special. The coffee is served in two sizes and only to go cups which is a pet peeve. My second visit I ordered an egg white omelette with provolone cheese and spinach wrap. It was also very strong, I would order that again the next time I come in probably. My friend ordered the breakfast burrito and loved it. Restrooms are in the back. Two of them and they are unisex. I found them to be spacious and clean, but don't expect fancy. They are about as dull as you get, but everything functioned with proper supplies. I'm a fan and will get back to see them. However, with the coffee being weak in my opinion I don't see myself being a regular. read more

Can't seem to get any orders correct. Didn't toast my bagel as asked, put cheese on my sister's VEGAN entree and then wanted to question her about it. We all clearly heard her request NO CHEESE. Complained that my mask was only covering the tip of my nose, yet an employee walked through the kitchen and then up front With her mask under her chin and hugged all the employees, obviously breaking the 6' social distancing guidelines. Spend more time getting the orders right and practicing what you preach. read more

Awwwww, yeah. This is how you do bagels. Not the chain shops. Not the frozen from the supermarket. Not the ones at the convenience store. This. Is. Bagels. High quality. Tasty. Yum. I had the nova and cream cheese on a toasted everything bagel. It was awesome. Good portion of salmon, nice schmear of cream cheese (would have been nice if they put it on both sides, but I solved that myself). Lots of poppy seeds and sesame seeds and more on the bagel. Yum. I might have said yum already. Yum. read more

Great Bagels and sandwiches and vegetarian/vegan /gluten free options. Dez at the counter is cheerful and helpful with not only the menu but their grab and go options. The place is colorful with a painted mural along an entire wall and has an easy to read menu behind the counter. The food is prompt and so good. I love their build your own options for my breakfast needs. And my favorite vegan sandwich is the Vegan Italian. Don't forget to check out the Specials board with Cream Cheese or soup or coffee of the Day. It also posts a joke of the day to lighten the mood.... for example....Why was the bagel outside of his house? Because someone changed the Lox.. Got takeout bagels and they were delicious! We like to Get them fresh and then toast and apply cream cheese ourselves. Think they hold better that way. Looking forward to trying more!! read more

Love Yorgo's! As much as I wanted a bagel and cream cheese, it was close to lunch so I opted for a grinder. I was disappointed they did not have jalapeño bagels so I chose sesame instead. The sandwich was good, but not their best. I also got a hot coffee as well. I would love for their cold brew to be made with the rainforest crunch coffee!! I will be back very soon! read more

The veggie burrito hits every time!! Just try this spot , they never disappoint , try anything , it's always fresh .

Neat location, great outside mural, friendly service...but I'm sorry, they're only decent bagels. I ordered an egg, sausage, and cheddar sandwich on a toasted poppyseed bagel for breakfast. First of all major props for using real eggs on their sandwiches. Just by looking at it, there's no doubt that eggs are getting cracked in that kitchen. I got two slices of cheddar, I only wish they were melted a little bit. And the OJ was served in plastic cartons, but it tasted great. Unfortunately, so many of the seeds had fallen off the bagel that it looked like a plain bagel had decided to go hanging out with the poppyseed club for a few minutes. And the taste, well, they're okay. But as a NY and NJ native, I know a real bagel when I taste one and this just lacked that extra bit of bite and outside crunch that a great bagel has. I'll put it this way, a bagel should not look totally smooth on the outside. You know those little tiny blisters on the outside of a good bagel? Didn't see them here. Even when I had one toasted the next day with cream cheese, I thought it was alright, but just not a bagel worth going out of my way to get. read more

Came here after the many high reviews. Ordered 2 bagels toasted with cream cheese, and one hashbrown. The hashbrown came out lukewarm at best and the bagels don't seem to be toasted. Very minimum cream cheese added. Disappointing for sure. read more

Yorgos is always my go to stop for breakfast. As a former resident of New York this place always fixes my craving for a New York bagel with lox. Food was meh. Coffee was meh. Service was meh. Not sure how this place is as highly rated as it is. The atmosphere is very cute though

I normally come here for a delicious lunch, especially their vegan options. It's unbeatable compared to the places around Ghent. With $10, you can usually get anything on the menu. However, today was not a good experience, for my pockets and my appetite. I decided to get a Greek salad today with chicken to go with it. So instead of your typical salad with your choice of meat, they decided to throw a scoop of chicken salad on top of my Greek salad. This got worse for a surcharge of $3.50, on top of the $8 salad as is. I'm not sure if the cashier knew what he was doing, but c'mon? Couldn't even finish it, tasted like a clump of leftover food. Definitely not worth the money and costing my appetite. If I come here again, I'm solely sticking to their sandwich options, which is why the two stars. read more

First time trying their vegan Philly and im not disappointed it was slightly a little to salty, but overall good. Im not vegan but I eat vegan foods sometimes. If I wasn't thinking about what I was eating it was hard to tell the difference. When I arrived, they had a rope in front of the register to help with maintaining space between the cashier and customer. The cashier provided good recommendations as I wanted to try something vegan. The food didn't take long to come out, and I was able to sit outside at one of their tables and eat. I also think it is great that they have free bagels no questions asked. They have so many different types of bagels, it was truly hard for me to decide. read more

This is the place you want to be at for breaky or quick bite to eat for lunch. Their menu might come off a little overwhelming because of the endless options you have from the sandwiches, to the bagels, to the cream cheese and all the vegan options that are available. However, that just gives you a reason to come back and try something new. Which is exactly what I will be doing. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and it was so juicy! The wrap is deceiving because it appears small, but it's jammed packed with ingredients, so don't be surprised when theres some chicken falling out after the first bites. They have a great variety of drinks, ranging from soda to carrot juice. The restaurant is clean and well managed when it comes to prevent the spread of covid, no mask, no entry. Im thankful they have outdoor seating and provide large umbrellas to protect from the sun bearing down on us. I can't wait to come back and try the vegan Philly cheesesteak! read more

Yorgo"s makes me always feel like I am back up north (Philly) at one of my old Bagel spots. With the exception of being a little overpriced, I really enjoy every visit. We had a Chicken Salad Sandwich on Challa Bread and I had the Cream Cheese & Lox on a Everything Bagel. We also had two small coffees and it cost about $23. Everything tasted good and quality with freshness makes me still wanting to overlook the price. I could have had a little more Loxs on my sandwich, but I guess that is the only thing I could complain about? read more

Yorgo's Bageldashery - Custom sandwich (chicken club) - Bagels Near Me - Norfolk, Virginia

After a nice early morning workout, me and my buddy just wanted to get some breakfast sandwiches and Yorgo's Bageldashery was on the way. We parked and got out and immediately get hit in the face with the smell of human feces. Then we walk in and it's so loud and obnoxious I can't focus on what I'm trying to read on the menu. Eventually I I get up to order, a bacon egg and cheese on a jalapeño bagel. Now don't get me wrong, the service was good, but when we got the food it was mind boggling. My friends bagel (sausage egg and cheese on a chocolate chip bagel) looked like the goopy grey krabby patty from spongebob. I'm surprised he ate it tbh. For mine, imagine a plain bagel with green droplets added in to make it seem like there were jalapeños in it. 4.5 stars my d**k. read more

*Sigh* I had high hopes for this place given the solid reviews. Having been to many businesses in the same area in Norfolk, it's a pretty high-power food area. So, I was hoping the bagels would really live up to their hype. Alas, my search for a decent bagel somewhere in Hampton Roads is still afoot. They did not live up to the hype at all. It probably depends on what you think a "good bagel" is - the style here is very much the old-school east coast boiled, dense as crap bread style. Much more Maine than NY basically. I ordered a salt bagel toasted with cream cheese and it pretty much tasted like a brick, then settled like a brick in my stomach. If I hadn't been starving, I probably wouldn't have finished it. To top it off, this place is crowded - and not necessarily with the nicest clientele. We witnessed almost two all out fist fights while waiting in line for my subpar bagel. When a pregnant woman and a four year old are clearly waiting for a table, maybe the four 20-something hipsters could not push us out of the way to claim a table? Manners. Geez. Overall, not impressed. I probably won't be back. It did look like they had a lot of vegetarian and vegan options if that's something you are looking for -- just can't vouch for the quality of any of them given my experience. read more

Yorgo's is top notch. I love the everything bagel with chive cream cheese and the raison cinnamon bagel with walnut cream cheese. I shouldn't say this, as I don't want folks to know how good it is, but their bbq pulled pork on a challah bun is the best I've ever had! Customer service is on point. read more

Great bagels and friendly staff. I love the fact they give away their day old bagels to anyone that might use them.

Such a great spot to eat and have coffee. I would say this year this has been my most visited spot. So much so that I even wrote a paper on the place and their business style for an assignment. The bagels are really good and you can't go wrong there. There's plenty to choose from and many styles/ways you can make it. Customer service can be a severe hit or miss. Sometimes you get someone that's in a bad mood and sometimes you get someone that's in a really good mood. It just really depends. read more

The bagels themselves are just ok, but they do some interesting things with them. I had the So Cal, which came with turkey avocado and sprouts on an everything bagel. Yum. The space is a bit limited and it was really crowded while we were there, but I dug it. It gave the place an energetic, vibrant feeling like it was a living organism. It has a sort of hipster secret club vibe. We ended up sharing a table with some random other people who we enjoyed chatting with for a while. I don't think it'll become a fav of mine, but I might be back if I'm in the area. read more
