Tiny tiny place in what used to be a Montessori school. The signs for a daycare may mislead you, but yes, that is also the restaurant inside the Philippine Cultural Center. Yollie herself is an adorable little lady who apparently cooks ALL the food by herself. With that said, your food will come out when it is ready. You may not all get your orders at the same time. Aside from the regular menu, specials are advertised on a sign as you enter. You get your choice of two mains with a side of rice, two dumplings and a sour soup. The soup seems to be an acquired taste as some of my guests enjoyed it, while others found it too harsh and sour. Makes me think that the food here is authentic and not adjusted to the American tastebuds. The ribs and the pork lumpia were the absolute favorites of our visit. I can honestly say that these were the best lumpia I ever had and I had plenty in my life time. Be careful, these are served right out of the fryer and hot as heck. The Pork Dinuguan and Beef Kare Kare were also deemed delicious. The chicken adobo as well as the Pancit were deemed somewhat bland. I threw some soy sauce on my Pancit and it was pretty good. We went out on a limb and tried the banana blossom. Trying something new I never heard off. It is not bad at all, not my favorite, but I think this is a dish that takes a little getting used to. The blossom is cooked in coconut milk and has a very light flavor. We tried the dessert lumpia and unfortunately that just didn't wow us. I sounded so good, maybe our high expectations did us in. Again, it's not bad, just not what we imagined. It's like a layer of jam on top of a layer of cream cheese wrapped into the lumpia dough and deep fried. It is served with ice cream on the side. sounds delicious right? Looks great too... but unfortunately only received a 'Meh' from us. I plan on checking out those Filipino sausages I saw on the menu, but they are only available on certain days. If you are patient and adventurous, you really ought to check this place out.

I opted for the dining room, and even though it was buzzing with a lunch crowd, it was the perfect level of energy without being noisy. The service was 10/10. My waiter was incredibly warm and took the time to explain the day's dishes in detail. I ordered the Brussels Sprouts and a drink, and both arrived in just a few minutes. The sprouts were perfectly prepared and very satisfying easily some of the best I've had. If you're looking for a high-quality lunch with excellent service and a great vibe, this is the place. I'm giving it a full rating and will definitely be back!

Reviewed the menu seemed to be eclectic enough, off we go. The place had a decent size outdoor dinning area. Few of the tables were occupied. Table for one...indoor, outdoor was the question? Indoor. Although the weather was beautiful, indoors was my choice. Al fresco dining is not my first choice. I don't like to do battle over my meal with insects and other wild life. I deducted 1 star for red wine served at room temperature. How is it that, red wines are chilled (55F) on the west coast but served at 'room temperature' (72F, 82F...) on the east coast. Had two dishes, they were OK, service was ok Would I go back? Yes, if the red wine was chilled.

Light, Dark and naked wings. I will start with sides. The greens, better than I ever had including AL, MS, LA and TN. Slaw was classic LA. Good, I am vinger slaw guy. Now for the chicken. First and foremost the medium is no joke HOT. Anyone can make something hot. But the flavor of the hotness is world class. Whatever they do, (brine whatever) the flavor is deep in the meat, including the breast. Absolutely fantastic. My only advice is if you find a raw jalapeno to hot, go one level down in spice. Unless you can set an eat raw Serranos, don't pay .$50 to go spicier. Who would have thought, amazing hot chicken, Indy.

It honestly hurt to see all that chicken go directly into the garbage, but they claim it was inedible. Since it's not a saucy type of flavoring, but a dry rub, they said that the heat was painful, and not flavorful. Back to the sandwich I enjoyed... I felt that there was a sweetness to the flavor that I liked, which I could see not everyone enjoying. There is also a hot dusting over the french fries which exacerbates any discomfort people are having from the heat. There really wasn't anything to cool it down. The macaroni and cheese was piping hot, although not spicy.
