Food and service was great. Very busy we waited to be seated for about 15 mins it was very busy on a Sunday around lunchtime. You seat yourself but there were no tables available. Definitely will be returning.

Good food reasonably priced. Had the cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. I guess you have to ask for chips. The hot sauce is Spicy! Yummy

We stopped in on to grab some food to-go. I got enchiladas Verdes, which were the blandest I've…read moreever had. The rice and beans were just as bland and the lettuce that came with was brown and slimy in multiple places. We also grabbed some fresas con cremas and the strawberries were definitely bad. They were extremely tangy and the crema was watery. I was pretty disappointed considering the high reviews. I always like to support small and local businesses but this is one I'll avoid moving forward

On the way back to ATX from our extended vacay in Port Aransas, TX, we decided to stop in Seguin,…read moreTX for a little late lunch... so glad we did! We found Taqueria and Juicy Fruits on Yelp, and it just off the highway, so not that big of a detour, so we stopped for a late lunch. It's in a strip mall, with painting all over the windows... don't be fooled, it's worth going in! We started with a couple of HUGE ice teas, and the complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was fantastic ... a little watery, but the flavor was "all fresh and just made" with a little bit of heat. The chips were thin, and nice and crispy! We ate them up! We followed with menudo and tacos, the tacos were barbacoa, beef and chicken (3 separate tacos). The first observation about the tacos, is that they were stuffed full of meat! No skimping on the portions here! And, very tasty, well-seasoned, served hot off the grill. The menudo was a bit of a disappointment, there was an aftertaste we couldn't identify. The ingredients in the soup were plentiful, the taste was just off (for our palates). They also have special red and green salsas in squeeze bottles that they bring to your table right out of the fridge. Both were good, we liked the green sauce better, bolder with a little heat. The "Juicy Fruits" in the name refers to the desserts ... see menu pic! You pay at a register in the back by the kitchen, easy enough. We'd go back if we're in that neighborhood again. Recommend Taqueria and Juicy Fruits, it's worth the hunt to find it!

I ordered delivery because sometimes the universe just needs to bring me tacos, not the other way…read morearound. What I did not expect was for these tacos to show up looking like they'd been training for a strongman competition. These things are enormous. Not "big." Not "hefty." I'm talking full‑blown California‑burrito impersonators. Each one weighs about ten pounds and could double as a doorstop. I opened the bag and immediately understood why the Uber Eats driver looked spiritually exhausted. I ordered three: * Bacon, egg, cheese & potato * Sausage, egg & cheese * Bean & cheese The bacon one... listen. Something in there was giving "mystery smoke." I don't know if it was the bacon, the potatoes, or a ghost from a BBQ pit that refused to move on, but the flavor was doing its own side quest. Not awful -- just confusing enough that I paused mid‑bite like, "What exactly am I tasting right now." The sausage one was solid, no complaints, but the bean and cheese? That one was the star. Simple, authentic, comforting -- the Beyoncé of the order. Zero drama, zero surprises, just good. And the real MVP moment: they delivered to New Braunfels. From Seguin. Through Uber Eats. That's not delivery -- that's commitment. That's "we will cross county lines to make sure you're fed." Even though one taco wasn't my vibe, I'd absolutely order again -- just with a different lineup. When the tacos are this massive and the delivery radius is this heroic, you give them another shot.

The place is very nicely decorated and transports you south of the border--well done. My wife and I shared an order of four carnitas mini-tacos. Served with chopped onion, lemon juice, and cilantro, they were good, but needed salsa too. The red salsa had the consistency of ketchup and the taste was off in a way I can't describe. However, the chips are top notch and the frijoles à la charra were excellent. And our waiter was very attentive. We'll come again.

The brisket was mediocre at best -- slightly under seasoned and the smoke flavor tasted a little off to me. The pork ribs were lacking flavor, and the bacon ranch potatoes were pretty much flavorless and definitely needed salt. The street corn pudding was okay, but it also felt bland somehow -- not really sweet or savory, just kind of there. I also tried the beef ribs, and they were just okay. They weren't nearly as tender as I expected, especially considering the reputation this place has. The highlights for me were definitely the beef cheek pastrami and the sticky ribs. The beef cheeks were melt-in-your-mouth tender and perfectly seasoned, and the sticky ribs had great flavor. For the amount of hype, long wait times, and "best in Texas" reputation, I left pretty disappointed. I honestly don't understand why this place is considered number one in the state.
