Our favorite neighborhood gem. We love the waitstaff who are always happy and welcoming. The atmosphere is quirky with wild colors and the smell of wonderful dishes being prepared in the kitchen. Tried Pica Taco for the first time this morning, from the moment we pulled up to the window, we could smell the deliciousness! Brie was our waitress, she was fun, enthusiastic, she made recommendations, and just an all around sweet person!! Service was just fine, but the food... I ordered a salad with beef fajita meat. I ate the meat and diced avocado only. The two salsas we were given were terrible. Terry ordered beef fajitas for one. We don't make it out here as often as we wish we could and I have failed to help my past visits. Everyone we come the food is delicious. The service is always fantastic, the atmosphere is upbeat and the food is SPOT on YUM!.The restaurant is neat and clean and decorated super cute! The take out line for tacos to go is pretty consistent due to the great homemade flavors. The chips and salsa are the best around. It's a great little hidden gem with authentic Mexican food. We ordered the Migas plate, a Piccadillo taco, Carne Guisada and bacon, egg and cheese. As always the food was perfect! read more

I yelped this place before I went. I was lookIng forward to the carne guisada but was told they were out. I ordered a chorizo/egg/potato mixed. That means you crack a fresh egg and mix it all together. My taco was not mixed, it was just plain dry tasteless potatoes in it. Potatoes have zero taste which just ruined the taco. Highly disappointed. The picadillo was very salty. I would never recommend this place. And for the amount of time it took for my to go order you would think my taco would be fresh. The chorizo looked like it was just rewarmed and had been sitting out for some time. I was not a fan of the tortillas either. read more

Delicious food! Consistent and very quick. Been coming here for years! Our family loves this restaurant- it is a staple for our breakfasts.

I just found the food here to be so-so. I got the machacado plate with refried beans and breakfast potatoes. The eggs didn't have the typical shredded dried beef but had like a skirt steak scrambled with the eggs. This is not a true machacado. The eggs were watery as well. I love the house salsa and the chips. Prices seemed a little steep. The tortillas were very good. We had one of the rudest service I've ever gotten at any restaurant. The coffee was horrible. I probably won't be back with all the other good restaurants in the area. read more

We live nearby, so we eat here regularly. Nice deck in case you have your dog along. Good, friendly service. The area has a plethora of Mexican food restaurants, but I'd rank their chips among the very best. Ditto for chiles rellenos and chalupas. Good prices. read more

While I think the food is ok, the two experiences we've had with them in their customer service is very bad. Our waitress, Alex, was a sweetheart and very attentive. The owners daughter on the other had is very rude, I guess because she's the owners daughter. Either way, customers is what makes a business grow. She's treated us that way twice. I was a fan of this place when it was just a small taco joint on the side of a gas station. The tiny place filled up by locals and truck drivers that needed an early breakfast. Pica Taco is family owned and operated, ppl stop from all over since FM 725 is a connection to IH 35 and IH10. Now their location has changed to down the road offering more seating and a deck to enjoy an iced one! I've only tried their morning tacos, you name it they serve it! My favorite are the Potato and Egg, Carne Guisada and Barbacoa with all the works! They make their own FLOUR TORTILLAS daily, by hand, no machines :) which to me is a big deal. If you become a regular they take the time to learn your name and order. Call ahead to avoid the morning rush. read more

Who doesn't love PicaTaco. I've been doing there since they were by the gas station about 20 years ago(damn). Hands down the best place in the area. Our go to place every Saturday morning. The tacos are awesome, fresh tortillas, the food is cooked fresh everyday, the staff is the good kind of crazy. I love the cheeseburgers and fries. My wife loves the poor man special. When I'm really looking for a big breakfast I get the number 4. Two huge pancakes, eggs any way you want them, sausage and bacon. I need a nap after that. Best Mexican restaurant ever. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. It took an hour to get our tacos and the kitchen didn't even get our orders right (who leaves out the bacon on a breakfast taco?) Hostess was SNAPPY when we asked the status on our tacos (after 40 minutes of wait time), telling us we should have called them in if we wanted them faster. We were paying customers and I'm not sure why customers who call in get priority in a sit-down restaurant. Besides the cheap price, no taco was worth that wait. The salsa was weird and unexpected in a bad way too. I want breakfast taco justice! read more
