Tried Pica Taco for the first time this morning, from the moment we pulled up to the window, we could smell the deliciousness! Brie was our waitress, she was fun, enthusiastic, she made recommendations, and just an all around sweet person!! We ordered the picadillo gorditas, and the bean and cheese breakfast tacos, both were delicious! Will definitely be back!!

We don't make it out here as often as we wish we could and I have failed to help my past visits. Everyone we come the food is delicious. The service is always fantastic, the atmosphere is upbeat and the food is SPOT on YUM!.The restaurant is neat and clean and decorated super cute! The take out line for tacos to go is pretty consistent due to the great homemade flavors. The chips and salsa are the best around. It's a great little hidden gem with authentic Mexican food. We ordered the Migas plate, a Piccadillo taco, Carne Guisada and bacon, egg and cheese. As always the food was perfect!

Great food and comfortable atmosphere. Good music playing in the background and friendly service.

I ordered chorizo/potato/egg all mixed and got this ‍ it sucked!

I yelped this place before I went. I was lookIng forward to the carne guisada but was told they were out. I ordered a chorizo/egg/potato mixed. That means you crack a fresh egg and mix it all together. My taco was not mixed, it was just plain dry tasteless potatoes in it. Potatoes have zero taste which just ruined the taco. Highly disappointed. The picadillo was very salty. I would never recommend this place. And for the amount of time it took for my to go order you would think my taco would be fresh. The chorizo looked like it was just rewarmed and had been sitting out for some time. I was not a fan of the tortillas either.

I just found the food here to be so-so. I got the machacado plate with refried beans and breakfast potatoes. The eggs didn't have the typical shredded dried beef but had like a skirt steak scrambled with the eggs. This is not a true machacado. The eggs were watery as well. I love the house salsa and the chips. Prices seemed a little steep. The tortillas were very good. We had one of the rudest service I've ever gotten at any restaurant. The coffee was horrible. I probably won't be back with all the other good restaurants in the area.

Sorry I couldn't stop it was so good !!!

I took 1bite of my cheese enchilada and I don't know what they use to season their gravy, but horrible, and the cheese inside was not even melted. I got 2 crispy tacos, the tomato came as 2 pieces of a half, that was laid in the enchilada sauce, and 1 bite and the entire taco fell apart and I had to try to get a few bites with a fork, but 1 more bite and I was done. I left literally almost a whole plate of food. The taco meat tasted almost like Taco Bell. HORRIBLE! We got to know the owner when he had his truck outside of New Braunfels, and he's a super nice guy, but this... he miserably failed at his restaurant. My husband got carne guisada, ate 1 bite, and no more. He ate the rice and beans, and a tortilla, and he was done. So literally over $35 for 2 almost full plates to be left on the table. I wish I had taken pics but I was so mad, and ready to leave so I could actually go get something else to eat.

I am definitely ordering this as a meal next time! Everything else on their menu is fantastic! I had the quesadilla this time and was surprised it's not your typical flat quesadilla. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and has a more polished atmosphere than I expected. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was excellent--friendly, attentive, and especially kind and accommodating with our kids throughout the entire meal. I originally wanted to order the barbacoa, but our plans changed when we tried modifying the kids' meals. We asked about adding picadillo to their bean and cheese tacos and substituting fruit for the rice and beans. We were told adding meat would be $4 per taco and fruit would be another $6, which would have more than doubled the price of the kids' meals. Rather than doing that, I ordered the one-pound fajitas with chicken and Wagyu beef so we'd have plenty of extra protein to share with the kids. The kitchen was pretty slow, but thankfully the chips were excellent and they kept them coming. The salsa was served warm with a nice amount of heat, and my oldest son absolutely loved it. In fact, the chips were apparently too good. Between the long wait and unlimited chips, my 7-year-old managed to eat enough of them that he eventually threw up. That's entirely on him--not the restaurant--but perhaps the strongest endorsement of the chips I can offer. My wife ordered the sangria swirl margarita and enjoyed it, although we were surprised by how few flavored margarita options were available. I went with a mezcal cocktail that was delicious, well balanced, and definitely wasn't shy on the alcohol. Once the fajitas finally arrived, they were excellent. The Wagyu beef came out medium rare exactly as requested, and both the beef and chicken were flavorful and well prepared. Ordering the larger portion also worked out nicely for sharing with the kids. Overall, we'd come back, although probably more readily for an adults-only dinner. The food, cocktails, atmosphere, and especially our waitress were all excellent, and the staff was genuinely kind to our children. The biggest drawback for a family meal was the lack of flexibility with the kids' menu. Some reasonably priced à la carte options or easier substitutions would make this a much better choice for families.

What I did not expect was for these tacos to show up looking like they'd been training for a strongman competition. These things are enormous. Not "big." Not "hefty." I'm talking full‑blown California‑burrito impersonators. Each one weighs about ten pounds and could double as a doorstop. I opened the bag and immediately understood why the Uber Eats driver looked spiritually exhausted. I ordered three: * Bacon, egg, cheese & potato * Sausage, egg & cheese * Bean & cheese The bacon one... listen. Something in there was giving "mystery smoke." I don't know if it was the bacon, the potatoes, or a ghost from a BBQ pit that refused to move on, but the flavor was doing its own side quest. Not awful -- just confusing enough that I paused mid‑bite like, "What exactly am I tasting right now." The sausage one was solid, no complaints, but the bean and cheese? That one was the star. Simple, authentic, comforting -- the Beyoncé of the order. Zero drama, zero surprises, just good. And the real MVP moment: they delivered to New Braunfels. From Seguin. Through Uber Eats. That's not delivery -- that's commitment. That's "we will cross county lines to make sure you're fed." Even though one taco wasn't my vibe, I'd absolutely order again -- just with a different lineup. When the tacos are this massive and the delivery radius is this heroic, you give them another shot.
