Drive by all the time but wanted to finally try it. Reviews looked great. I'm always down for a great taco. Bacon egg and cheese is my go to. Got food to go, service was fast and friendly. Small mom/pop shop. Taco was okay. Tasted like a fresh made tortilla, I like my taco to be a little more seasoned but it was okay. I would return again and try something different. read more

Got a hot tip from a buddy that this spot has THEE BEST breakfast tacos around. So I had to make the trip from Cibolo out to Marion to see for myself. My findings- they were alright. Positive- I loved the selection! They have a large selection of breakfast taco options. Reminded me of the old school taco shops from back in mg day. Most of the flavors really do run together at some point, but it's good to have a large selection of options. Only offered red and green salsa. And it was basic stuff. The service was cool. I mean they may have been short staffed. So I don't want to hold that against them. The service I got was nice. But they didn't offer extra sals. That's a pet peeve of mine. If I buy 4 or 5 tacos, don't give me the same amount of salsa as if I bought only 1. The restaurant itself was pretty small. But the layout was functional. That damn beeping from the driveway sensor was irritating the crap out of me. Altogether, really no need to go back. read more

The best chorizo and egg breakfast tacos I've ever had! While returning from Floresville in the early morning, I found myself hungry for breakfast tacos. Not knowing the area I came across Lupita's simply by chance, and what a lucky chance it was! The drive-thru offered many chances to look over the menu and as I approached the window a friendly young woman came out and took my order. I didn't expect her, and was a bit surprised and worried that my car was so close. She laughed it off, took my order for two chorizo and egg tacos, and told me to pull forward. With only one car ahead the wait wasn't long. When I reached the window I was handed a bag full of joy. Two perfectly wrapped warm tacos and napkins. As I bit into the fluffy tortilla filled with steaming eggs and chorizo I noticed right away that the tortilla was made fresh. Little bits of scorched flour on the tops of the bubbly surface are the telltale sign that this tortilla was rolled and cooked fresh just for me! The eggs and chorizo were perfectly balanced. The chorizo had the perfect flavor, but more importantly the perfect texture. No gristly bits without being sandy. The ratio of tortilla, egg, and chorizo was as perfect as the Golden Ratio. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to eat breakfast here! read more

This is our first time here, so I can't be overly comprehensive about all of the food or consistency. But, what can I tell you about today's meal? Delicious. A co-worker friend of mine referred me to this quaint little restaurant and he and his wife were correct. The food is delicious my wife got the Caldo del Rey, my son got to breakfast tacos 1 bean and cheese combination and one bacon and egg. I had a combination plate beef enchilada cheese enchilada beef puffy taco and an enchilada. My plate came with refried beans and Mexican rice two tortillas, they make them in-house, one flour and one corn. this is a small restaurant and it is a good possibility that you might have to wait. But if our first meal is consistent of how they cook it will be worth the wait. It is small it's not fancy it's a quaint little restaurant that they made us feel at home. As a side note I have say the price is on point, and the portion was plenty. I'll give them 4.5, since it's not possible, I will stretch to 5 stars. We'll know more about the next time we visit. read more

Lupitas has finally gotten their new permanent menus, although, they still have to hand you one of these menus at the drive through, so one can see what taco they want. I still want them to put a wooden or plastic menu board on the outside like all the other joints have. I wanted something more substantial than egg and potatoes or sausage, and I asked to have carne asada and eggs mixed. They said if you want it that way. It was delicious, though they charged me $3 dollars. You can get 3 of the cheaper tacos for $2.99. Service is fast and friendly in the drive through. This place is Tx-Mex and leans heavily Mex. We are lucky in Marion to have two top notch taquerias within a block of each other (La Prima Taco House) because we don't have to go to Seguin or New Braunfels for excellent breakfast and lunch. Food was flavorful, good quality ingredients, fresh, plentiful, simple, fast, cheap, and tasted like a home cooked meal. We made a wrong turn on our way to San Antonio and ran across this hidden gem. Cactus (nopales) egg tacos were perfect. Chicken fajita quesadilla and beef fajita tacos were some of the best we have had. Small place in Marion. I have only had breakfast tacos here. They are great. I always get mine with corn tortillas and their corn tortillas are good. The red sauce is good and their prices are reasonable. The staff has always been friendly when we stop. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you're going through Marion! read more

We stopped by Lupita's during a baseball game break. Immediately when we walked in, couldn't help but think it reminded us of Grandma's house. Felt welcoming and the staff was extremely nice. The food was expedient and tasted like Grandma was in the kitchen preparing. We will definitely be back. read more

It's ok not no 5 star but I give it a 3 barbacoa had a weird taste you can tell they microwaved my plate the edge of the beans on the plate were blistered. I was just in the area and looked up on yelp and it had a 5 star. Need more staff had 1 employee and was rushing. But she did an awesome job and handled it. I might try again. read more

This place is amazing one of the best taco, lunch spots on this side of san antonio. The fresh tortillas.. yummy!! tastes very authentic! The staff at lupitas is friendly and knowledgeable. I've called ahead for a quick breakfast when in a rush and ive gone in and the table was already set up and food brought out right as we sat down!! Cozy atmosphere. I like coming in here for breakfast to get the day started. The staff is super friendly and makes you feel welcomed. The prices are great for the authentic Mexican food they offer. Sometimes I'll come in around six to seven AM to have my breakfast plate, catch up with current events on the news monitor, maybe read a bit, say hi to the friendly locals, and kickstart my day right. read more

The Australian owner of HWY 78 Café did have awesome and very reasonable priced food because locals were stingy and cried poor so it forced her to reduce prices. Its a crying shame she was forced to close her doors because of the poor support and bad animosity of the previous owner who started a Facebook HATE towards her which resulted in her husbands 18wheeler being arson in front of her home and she never stood a chance! Thanks to the people of the country church who support her and her family financially support it. Now since then a string of businesses have failed because of the behavior of the town. They have supported all the other restaurants including GG's. This is shown by the SAME daily specials HWY 78 had. Now the coffee shop that's opened may not do well either. Please be a sport and support businesses. Its hard enough being taken over by corporate and all the giant taxes small businesses endure to make it through. As for burger prices, Wataburger charges the same what HWY had an no one complains except for Marionites. Shame on you! Good luck Lupita's! read more
