I'm very critical when it comes to service so perhaps I was a little harsh with my review. When I go to a restaurant I expect for my server to be friendly this wasn't the case and turned what could have been a potential 4 star review into the 3 you see. I tried to engage our server in conversation but she ignored my attempts. She was a bit slow in clearing used dishes. The resturant was beautifully decorated. It had many choices of food including frogslegs crab oysters class, a great selection of sushi as well as most Chinese dishes you'd expect in a Chinese Buffett. If a reasonably price buffet (wihen you factor in bidenomics) with decent food and you don't care about excellent service is what you seek in Springfield,OH you can't go wrong here. I paid 3 dollars more at Der Dutchman and the drink was not included nor was the soup or dessert unless you consider bread pudding dessert or the mystery thingy that looked like the cook dropped it on the floor and swept it into its serving container, but that's for my next review. The restroom was ok, given all the traffic but was in need of a touch up. I took no pictures because I didn't have the heart to basedcon the unfriendly service.

This buffet is awful. Complete trash. I understand they only just reopened after they just opened originally right before the panic lockdown started, I was honestly trying to giving them a big break, but nothing I saw was acceptable. We purposefully went to the weekend dinner, as it was advertised as the seafood buffet time. Didn't even have standard snowcrab legs. Was some oysters, mussels, crawfish, and octopus. But mostly shrimp. The best thing was the cold faux Crab salad, and that was bland. The rest of the buffet was worse. Much worse. Much of it was luke warm at best. Some was just plain cold. There was little to no Chinese food. Unless you count salt and pepper shrimp. The hibachi was not running. There were no noodles, no dumplings, not even lowly wontons. The egg drop soup was flavorless. All the flavors were subpar. Another patron and I were comparing notes in the bathroom how awful it all was. I filled one plate, mostly, and didn't eat all of it. The best thing was the Mac and cheese which came from a can for sure. Normally with such mediocre Chinese buffets, like the one that used to precede it in this location, when family would want to eat there I would err to the deep fried selections like crab Rangoon, egg rolls, or sweet and sour pork to assure they'd be cooked and hot. But some of those standards weren't even there. I can't even be sure of that with my mozz sticks as the cheese wasnt even slightly warm. The women's bathroom needs attention. The pendant lighting looked to be connected by plastic bread clips and the stall walls had been scratched up severely with graffiti. Painting over graffiti costs nearly nothing. They hadn't even removed the piled up strips of latex paint from the scratches that fell off with my hand brushing over it which just proves that in a *pandemic* they hadn't even so much as washed the walls. Anyone giving this more than two stars should not be trusted. I'm gonna drop an update if I end up with food poisoning, I have a few more hours to know for sure. Wish me luck. Go at your own risk.

Good food cheap. Nice selection. May not be like a 5 star restaurant but the best Chinese buffet around the Springfield area.

The food was cold. The wonton soup was gross. The meat inside the wonton noodle tasted old

I asked if veggies come in the lo mein. He said it only came plain. I asked if I could pay for vegetables in my lo mein. I was put on hold for about 2 minutes & when he returned, he said I could get vegetables. There was an up charge... the meal w/ an eggroll was $18.45 & said it would be ready in 20 minutes. 5 mins later I get a call & they said they couldn't put vegetables in plain lo mein. WHAT?! He (a different guy) said that his colleague got it wrong & I would need to buy a veggie lo mein on the side. He said that he couldn't do the combo & add veggies to the lo mein. His colleague got it wrong because the boss wasn't there & when she got back she saw how he rang it up & to call me & tell me they couldn't do that. I would have to buy the sweet & sour pork & veggie lo mein separately @ $22+. Now, for $4 you gave up $18! I have never been called back by a restaurant due to a mistake they made for charging me wrong. MOST businesses, who want to gain & maintain customers would've sucked it up & corrected their employee! NOT call the customer for their $4 mistake!!! I will never order from this establishment. Their customer service is diabolical.

A runny filling and greasy exterior in crab rangoon are generally caused by excess moisture in the filling and incorrect oil temperature during frying. This is gross it's not suppose to run out of your mouth like soup nor should the shell be soft doughy mess. I hate to do this but even the other food was improperly made so I'm not eating here ever we have to many places in town gotta find a new spot anyone know of good crab Rangoon that won't make you sick?

Some areas where they could improve, and what seperated them from a 4 star review was that my combo did NOT include soup, our server wasn't friendly, and because I'm a senior with a slight mobility issue I didn't like that I had to walk to counter to get my order. BUT my biggest complaint was that I was charged for a bottle of water. I ordered water to avoid paying for a drink. Had the food not been hot, tasty, and quick, this would have dropped my review to 2 stars. It did not, BUT it did affect my thinking of visiting another time while I'm in Springfield, since there a couple other Chinese restaurants in town it has also affected my thinking on visiting them next summer when I'm in town. I can't in good conscience recommend this place if you like friendly service and are as thrifty as me. But if you don't mind paying for water, less than friendly service, and walking to counter to pick up food, this place may be worth a try for you.

For this, you'll get a moderate assortment of food to choose from. Unfortunately, most of what I chose was somewhat bland, and the meats were generally tough. If you look at my photos, you'll see they mix a lot of leftover, smaller pieces in with the new food. To get around this, pick through and get the newer stuff. The one single item that absolutely impressed me was the breaded chicken in peanut sauce that was tender, juicy, and delicious! A++ In reality, its more of a two or two and a half star rating, but It's hard for me to ding them too hard when I'm doing AYCE Chinese but paying less than a McDonald's combo meal. And Here's Another Piece To Chew On: It's a little different set up here: *You pay up front at the counter. *You can tip on your card before you eat or bring cash for the table. *Drinks and food are self-serve and unlimited. *There's zero service here. *They make no effort to remove plates until a guest leaves.

Parking is easy, and the building is handicap assessable. You pay first upon entering. This is Chinese Buffet-style food. It has your typical Chinese favorites; they have a different type of sauce color, like the General Tso Chicken. (it was a brown sauce and not the Spicy Red glaze.) They also have a version of Chicken teriyaki; it's not on a stick and is pinkish in color. Very weird looking, and I didn't try it. The buffet had a lot of chicken dishes, and the chicken was cut into tiny pieces. The fried rice and noodles lacked flavor. No dish stood out except for the Egg Rolls. For which I can't lie; I ate 3. The buffet setup is perfectly laid out with self-service drinks. The decor is a mid-90s flashback.

The best thing about Panda Express to me was downloading their app and getting 20% off the first order. There wasn't a lot of variety to me compared to some of the other Chinese restaurants in town. It was very cut and dry. You can order one out of four or five types of side dishes or whatever and there's maybe half a dozen true entrées. It is a variation of different fried food and different sauce, but no big revelation of something different, that's for sure. So I ordered orange chicken for myself which she also ended up ordering the same and my husband wasn't with me, but I know he liked beef so I ordered Beijing Beef. The beef was extremely spicy but it was good, the chicken was also good. The worst thing was the fried rice. Dry, no flavor and ruined the meal. One irritant was when ordering online I went at the time it was supposed to be ready. It wasn't so the worker asked if I could go to the parking area to wait a " couple of minutes ". I've had this happen too many times but dutifully went and after 5 min and no customers anyway, I pulled back to the window where it was ready, tied into bags and apparently forgotten. This was not my first choice for Chinese food. The chances of it being a place I'd go back to is slim.
