Awesome offerings from their food truck!!
    Valerie W.

This is just a review for their food truck, though I'm SURE that their location in CoHatch Market must be just as good (if not better!!) with even more variety... I've been eating out more than I "should" this week (whatever THAT means...!!) but couldn't pass by Hikari's AWESOME food truck when I saw it parked on the E. side of Spfld. yesterday (Wednesday) at Burnett Rd's summer time bi-weekly food truck "event" that has been a wonderful treat this summer and the last, ESP. in this area's restaurant "desert!!" Great tasting, FRESH offerings, and definitely NOT what you'd expect from a food truck!! VERY reasonably priced, GREAT variety, and DELICIOUS!! Check 'em out, two great options in one!!

My review is based solely on the food truck that I believe is associated with this business and was in Marysville tonight. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Everything from the customer service to the sushi was phenomenal! The man taking the orders was so nice and patient with me as I scrolled the menu to make sure I got exactly what my family wanted because I was placing a big order. When I finished he told me to grab a free bottle of water (ya know anything free is rare nowadays lol) Now to the sushi - I ordered vegetarian roll, crunchy chicken roll, tempura shrimp crunchy roll, white dragon crunchy roll, and a mango tempura shrimp roll. I can't speak for the ones that included seafood, but can say my husband and kid ate ALL of them. No crumbs left. They both said it was some of the best sushi they'd ever had! The crunchy chicken roll was SO delicious. The chicken was tender and loaded on top of the sushi roll. There were pieces of mango and strawberry in with it. The sauce on it was sweet, but loaded with flavor. The vegetarian roll wasn't skimpy at all and was loaded with veggies! They gave us enough ginger and wasabi to make it through the box, which I appreciate! My family agreed that if this truck is ever back in our area we would definitely visit again!

Good sushi, fun location. It wasn't clear from Yelp or Google that this restaurant was part of a co-op with several restaurants, work space, etc. so was confusing to find. Maps took us to the front door, but parking lot was difficult to find. The people and food were great. Sushi rolls were giant! So be warned and either come hungry or start with one roll and see how much you can eat.

A great little gem inside the historic Meyer Market. The bowls and sushi are great and very fast. They even have a little area of Japanese snacks and gifts like sake sets.

Excellent food! Always something new and fresh with a beautiful presentation. Best sushi in the Springfield area!

Fantastic food, service, and experience overall. I'm not a picky eater so I asked for the "chefs special" (I.e. had the chef decide what to make for the Sushi Lover Platter) and it did not disappoint. The sushi tasted fresh, the slices of salmon and shrimp were generous enough to actually taste (as so often sushi isn't) and really made for a great dining experience. The staff were all wonderfully pleasant which made the experience that much better.

Better than ramen I've had in San Francisco, Atlanta, Chicago or Dallas. The chili oil or sashuan oil is not as hot as I thought. Easy to eat, even if you can't tolerate much spice. Staff was super amazing. Shout out to the guy behind the bar. Rockin' beard and rockin' attitude. Easy 30-minute drive from Beaver Creek, Wright-Pat area, but so worth it.

I wasn't as surprised this time by the location in a neighborhood, something that gives it a very welcome feel and suggests with the addition of a covered outdoor porch with picnic tables that this is a good neighborhood hang. I was late for lunch, almost two but there were some folks still finishing up. Good vibe, good music and casual atmosphere. I opted for the Takoyaki app which was tasty and not so burning hot that it scorched the roof of your mouth. Also the right amount of mayonnaise as opposed to often an excess. The Ramen Flight was fun in principle but I wouldn't do it again. I unwisely and perhaps naively assumed there would be mini versions of the full serving of Tonkotsu broth with Mayo, Thai curry and Szechuan with scallions. But it really is just the broth and ramen. Expected the Szechuan to have some heat and peppery lip buzz but did not. The Thai curry was super salty. Just missed some option of veggies and protein. Finally I would suggest not sitting near the front near the stairs to the kitchen. The spot has competing music soundtracks with two different play lists battling between your two ears.

I don't take more than 2 from a roll but sometimes I can only have 2 pieces of a roll the entire time while I'm there. They have a vast choice of food, esp chicken if you like it. I was pleasantly greeted, and had my drink order taken at the hostess stand. I went to the buffet, and my iced tea was waiting for me when I got back. The food here is, all around, very good, and there's a good selection of maybe 55 - 60 items in total. I tried a variety of items, including sushi, seaweed salad, pepper chicken, spicy chili oil chicken, lo mein, chicken skewers, buttered shrimp... All very good. The only thing that didn't impress me was the hot and sour soup. It was probably leftover from the day before as it was a little gloppy. (Good flavor, though). Their prices were quite good for it being a nicer place with good quality food and a very nice selection. I'll certainly give them more of my business, soon.

The rice in it is hardly seasoned and just didnt taste "wow". Their yakisoba is a weird medley of rice noodles in some brown sauce they call yakisoba (like they didnt even use the actual noodles!) I got the katsu kimchi jiggae... they put a perfectly fried katsu INTO the bottom of the jjigae..... like it was wet and sad. And for some reason my son had a full bowl of rice and mine was only half full?? The kimchi flavor was off... almost tomatoey? Needless to say.. my husband barely ate his yakisoba. I took 95% of my stew home. To top it off as we were checking out, they came and said they were having some troubles with conmecting tp their card people... if we could ..pay with...cash? And i had to send my husband out to an atm... and then it came back online. In all this they couldnt even give a small discount for this situation. I am sad to say I am likely not to return... this round of ownership change has brought the place down.
