My son has been dining here for a long time and I'm not sure why we hadn't tried it yet. We got takeout on a Friday night. The teriyaki chicken was pretty good and the portions were generous. I can't remember the name, but also got the deep fried California roll. It was quite tasty. We will definitely add Yoi to our takeout rotation. read more

First time here. What captured us was they offered fried rice. Busy environment on a Thursday around 4 o'clock. No tables available. The worker has to clean the workers break table. read more

It's not the place to go for great sushi but their chicken bowls are a great portion of food for the price. I got the chicken stir fry and they had quality pieces of chicken and well-cooked, not soggy, veggies. I called ahead and my lunch was ready within 15 minutes like they estimated it would be. read more

Today I got the dragon roll from here and it was tasty but I got really bad food poisoning a couple hours after eating. I currently still don't feel good and can't keep anything down. Also my boyfriend went to pick up the food and said the cashier had attitude and wasn't nice. Hopefully this review can help the restaurant be more aware of cross contamination and more smiles from their employees. I'm giving 2 stars only because my boyfriend said he liked his food but he eats anything lol! read more

poor customer service, cashiers always have attitude and seem like they don't want to be there. Disappointing experience considering i actually enjoy the food, it's great, just unfortunate the service doesn't match. read more

Love there teriyaki bowls always fresh! Their deep fried California roll also so fresh and good! Totally recommend!

8/16/22 Getting lunch! Poke Bowl and Red Dragon Roll ordered. The worker said it would be ready in 15 min. I went in to get it. Not real kind or welcoming service, but hopefully the food will be good! It was just called that it was made & handed over shortly after walking in. Paid for the order and left. Restaurant is nice. Low key. Lunchtime! Order split. 1/2 of the poke bowl was fresh and tasty! 1/2 of the Red Dragon Roll was delicious! They included wasabi that added and nice, spicy kick! Mother felt the same! Wish the service was good, but oh well! At least the lunch was good! It would've received 5 stars if the service was good! read more

The food was good, but the 'tempura ' was hard as folks, not tempura batter. Disappointed. The service was good. The atmosphere was good, busy place read more

Cashier is never doing anything, just on her phone. Got my order wrong on the phone and went back and politely asked if they could remake it and had to pay another $8 but all they did was "fix" the sushi roll I had previously gotten. I have dined here before and it's always pretty dirty and no tables wiped down. Been a customer for a long time now and never had a problem until they hired new people. Manager is also a perv #canceled read more

Do not come here after a long day of work. Thought I would give this place a chance again after it being years since I've been to this place. Should have known this place was going to have poor customer service when two ladies were waiting for a while for their food. After placing my order the manager and the girl up front got my order. Several minutes went by and then the people in the back kept looking at me thought it was strange. Then several people left and I was still there. Once the "manager" noticed that I was getting frustrated she was like sorry for the wait very nonchalant could tell she didn't care. Offered me a California roll as if I even like that food and a drink rather than just giving me the meal I ordered. Another thing the manager was just placing the blame on the "new hire" rather than taking accountability for her poor management skills. Do NOT come here!!! Poor customer service / dirty tables. read more

This place is great! It's definitely really far from me so I don't know the next time I'll come back but if you live in Reedley or frequent the area this place is a good little spot. Prices are reasonable, food is good. The beef was so tender even reheated!! The chicken was good but not as good as the beef, and the meat bowls didn't have veggies in it so kinda disappointed there. Maybe you can ask for it? Just know it's not included. Their poki seemed kind of plain too but I didn't get to try it. Sushi was also delicious and customer service was a lot better than a lot of places I've been to. Worth a try if you're in the area. read more

Food is mediocre, prices are high, and service is bad. There is one girl in particular that when she is working, phone orders are impossible to make because she puts you on a 15 min hold and when you go in shes either on her phone, eating, or completely dismissive. Its a shame. read more

Stopped by for a quick dinner after being indecisive about where to eat in Reedley. We chose Yoi because there weren't many bodies inside but the food was decent. All the plates were combos which means they had a side of tempura veggies, salad and white rice. I had the sesame chicken which was a fried chicken cutlet with Teriyaki sauce on it and I though it was pretty good. My wife had the teriyaki chicken and wasn't to happy with it because the chicken was a little dry and tough to eat. All in all, I'd say the food was decent, quick and taste great for the price. Will have to come back to try some sushi! read more

I've tried this place two times and have had two bad experiences . First time was a month ago, I ordered a poke bowl and it was just salmon with rice, that's it. Very disappointing. Second time was tonight. I ordered chicken wings and salmon bowl with salad base. I waited over 30 minutes and watched two customers that ordered after me get their food before me. I was late for work as a result, but then I looked at the food and it wasn't worth the wait or being late. read more

For a quick Japanese meal Tempura style this is a great place to get in and out quick service and friendly I would return for lunch any tile

Was in the mood for a little something different than what I typically eat for lunch so I decided to give them a try. I decided to try the C9 Salmon combo dish. It came with a nicely prepared and perfect size strip of salmon with a light teriyaki sauce. Also included were rice, tempura veggies, and a small side salad. All in all for the reasonable price it was quite good. Service seemed solid bit it's difficult to tell until we can start dining in but I thought this was a good choice for what I was in the mood for. read more

Tried Yoi for the first time eve after living in Reedley for over 10 years: This nondescript smaller venue brings a a big city cuisine to a rural area and that's saying a lot! Yoi brings Japanese cuisine to life with their fresh product, presentation and style to an area of the Central Valley that doesn't always have much to choose from restaurant variety-wise. Where has this place been hiding! We ordered two of the chicken combination dinners and were pleasantly surprised: Chicken was grilled, perfectly cooked and had a real nice texture and flavor while the white rice, salad and tempura vegetables were a nice mix of four veggies. The dollop of potato salad on the salad is a nice touch; the vinaigrette dressing is done well. After a few bites, we decided they're the best Japanese restaurant in between the Fresno Metropolitan area and Visalia. We'll be back to try more! read more

The food is okay. I have seen their menu prices go up a lot over the past 6 years and it's not really worth it for what you are paying. Their miso soup used to be 1.50 and now it's a little over $2 and super salty too. Their sushi rolls are OKAY but it's just not as good as I expected for the price they are charged at. Service is good at this place though so far from my experience a couple of other times people in this place see customers coming in but don't bother greeting them and just ask what they want or ignore them for a couple minutes until going up to the counter and taking their order. read more

Everything but the sushi is good here. Love the bowls. Simple and easy lunch. The don buri bowls come stir fried served with steamed veggies, which I appreciate. The sushi is how the photos look. Tbh, it's too much rice. Some times, depending on the roll you get, they put too much sauce to where all you taste is the sauce. Since there's only 2 sushi places here in Reedley if you don't count the Chinese buffets, I guess if you're desperately itching for some sushi it'll help with that fix. So minus a star for that. read more

Overall the food was good. The shrimp, however, smelled fishy and wasn't very fresh. Everything else was delish.

The food is worth the price and wait. Please be aware they run a small shop with only 1 phone, making it hard to place phone orders. Mobile/online ordering isn't offered which makes it difficult to order, but usually once I order I have my food within 15 minutes. The sushi is over priced considering it is all rice. The teriyaki bowls are just alright.

What can I say? Reedley has more options than most towns of similar size, and less options than somewhere like Fresno, obviously. That being said, great spot for this town. Sushi, Stir-fry, various bowls meat / rice, poke bowls. The teriyaki bowls are a great value, Poke Bowls are limited and small but good quality fish! The tempura is good standard tempura. The sushi is however quite bland (I don't really count off too much for this as it's not billed as a "sushi" resturant). All-in-all this is a great spot! read more

Really bad service. They keep you on the phone for hours every time. I've also seen them in person leaving people on hold.
