We ate there and after ordering our food the wait for it was very frustrating we got our food 30 mins after and we were the only customers in the tables. on top of that we still waiting for our daughter food that took another 15 mins by the time she got her food she didn't want to eat anymore. The worker was very kind and happy to give recommendations. The Mexican roll and chicken chow mein were ordered after being recommended! The worker said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went in to get it shortly later. Very nice restaurant! Clean, safe and practiced. You walk in and there's a register to the far right. Let the worker know I had a pick up order. The worker was very kind. Paid for the order and waited. Short wait. The worker let me know she was waiting on the roll to be ready. Shortly later, it was brought and the worker asked if I wanted any sauces. I asked for sriracha. She put it in the bag with good day wishes! Appreciated! Lunchtime! Got it set up. Order split. 1/2 of the Mexican roll was fresh and delicious with a really nice, spicy kick. 1/2 of the chow mein was great! Tasty veggies and noodles! Mother said hers was great! The service was good, (one more person inside). Order the sushi deluxe - small portions and the sushi seemed a little old (didn't eat the tuna due to initial taste). Another person ordered the chicken bento box, chicken was rubbery, not enough sauce. The salad was very gingery. The plates were chipped. The ramen spicy soup was good. read more

In need of a good cleaning roaches on the tables flys flying into food had to toss a good portion of my rice cause a fly wouldn't get off my rice ended up killing the fly since it wouldn't fly off don't even want to consider how bad kitchen is if they had roaches on the dining tables. read more

I love their sushi and miso soup. I wish their portions for sashimi were larger though. Great service but a little slow for the usually empty restaurant. Chef really takes his time cooking. Downside is there phone is very staticy and they got mad at us for them messing up our order after they couldn't hear us. read more

My last visit to Yamamori was splendid, and I hope it was indicative that the food and service has improved since my last visit, about a year and a half ago. The food was delicious and generously portioned, and the waitress on staff was extremely professional and very helpful. The crazy tuna roll, the special of the day, was fantastic. Not only did the roll look carefully put together with great presentation, but it was also huge and filling! A roll that size would typically cost a few dollars more elsewhere (and that's taking the original non-special price into consideration). My dad wanted ice cream but was unsure of what mochi was. He decided on green tea ice cream, which he loved, but the waitress also surprised us with a strawberry mochi on-the-house for him to try out, which was awesome. As it turns out, he also loves mochi. I would be more than happy to write a 5-star review upon my next visit if things continue to go well! I've eaten here about 4 times, but if this review was based off of this visit alone I would definitely rate it 5 stars right away! A great dining experience. read more

I really enjoyed the food at Yamamori. There was nothing that blew me away but the Ramen and Sushi I had were both very tasty. Although the ramen noodles were not homemade they were definitely chewy and the broth was very tasty. The meat was pretty good too and wasn't all fat or nerve pieces. Place is pretty big in size and is still in new condition. Our waitress Mariah is one of the best waitresses I've had. She was extremely busy and by herself, but still kept a positive attitude and smiled a whole lot. Excellent service from her!! Prices are fair during Happy Hour. Not a bad place, but not the best management. The waitress was friendly, prompt, and patient. Unfortunately she was sent home early and the manager finished her shift. It was apparent that he wasn't eager to serve customers. Closing time was 8pm on Wednesday February 23, but we were made to feel uncomfortable. We left at 7:30pm. Overall our experience with the waitress was a 5. The management experience was a 2, but I didn't want to fault the waitress. I would return, just not late in the day. I'd recommend the same to any other customer. You can see from the pictures that we enjoyed wonderful food until the manager was a dick. read more

Always Delicious! Best Japanese Food within 50 miles! The Yamamoto roll is my favorite.

This was our third time at this restaurant. First time food was good, service was good. Second time food was not so good. Katsu chicken had no katsu sauce but the waitress was doing a good job. Waitress said they do not have katsu sauce. What?? Today was the third time (and probably the last). Waitress was slow and acted as if she didn't want to be bothered serving us. She never checked back once to see if our drinks needed refreshed. The teriyaki shrimp and chicken was dry as cardboard (inedible). Terrible! Rice was dry as paper also. Would not recommend Yamamori to anyone. read more

Me and my co workers went to go get lunch and it was sooooo nasty I had the Raman noodles and it was sooooo nasty the soup smelled like eggs and super salty My co workers each got a different sushi rolls and as well was super nasty.... even to the point that the soda was flat and they had arrowhead water ewww the food made all 3 of us sick and when we called they wanted us to go to the doctor to get a dr note from the dr that we got sick from the food we just ate it was ridiculous...... A group of us checked out this restaurant because it's one of the non Western food option around this quiet town. We got there about an hour before closing and the restaurant was completely empty. Nobody at sight. Just the server standing there, waiting for something to happen. So we showed up and was seated immediately. 4 of us had a hard time deciding what to order because the Yelp reviews were filled with mixed feelings. If you're reading this review and hoping to use it to guide what to order or whether to eat here. Our group would say take your money somewhere else. I ended up ordering their teriyaki chicken bento because it seemed like the safest choice available. Guess what? I was absolutely wrong. The chicken tasted so bland. It feels like they just threw raw chicken on the grill and poured some sauce over it. I know cause I meal prep the same exact way. Their bento was filled with too much rice, the tempuras they served were below average, their California rolls were the worst I've ever tasted. Nothing was acceptable in the chicken teriyaki bento that I've ordered. On the brighter side, the server was attentive and helpful. She was the best part of our dining experience. On the side note, their teapot set was absurdly heavy. The heaviest cups and teapot I have ever used. Pouring hot tea was a hassle cause the cups were heat conducive. The portions were well served. My sister ordered the bento box, fried rice was bland, and the salad had a weird taste. Overall, the server wasn't very friendly. This place has some real potential. But as of now the service is horrible. While i was there i witnessed a family walk out because they didn't get any drinks or even get the chance to order. Another couple ordered but never got their food. Other tables/customers said they didn't get any refills on drinks or any extra items like sauce. The ramen i ordered was disappointing. Im not a ramen expert but i do believe its supposed to hav soup/broth. It had none (see pictures). The beef was disappointing as well. I realize its their first days being open. They're got tea comes in a metal kettle paired with a metal cup, it looks good but functionally does not work, I burned my hand grabbing it. They're cucumber salad was lacking and not traditional. BIG NO!! Avoid this place at all cost. Me and my coworkers got sick quickly after! The food wasn't good to begin with soda was even flat. Our rolls all tasted the same. We weren't going to complain just take the loss until we all got sick I threw up at work. When we called for at least a refund the owner said we needed to go to the dr and prove it was from their food I have never dealt with such bad customer service. So sad after explaining we're nurses doing the covid vaccine and couldn't go to the doctor to "prove it" because we were already back at work. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. It's ok, but overpriced for what you get. Too much rice, lower grade compared to what you'd expect for the price.

Food is okay. Would consider it more cheap level sushi for what it it. Definitely better sushi places around wouldn't recommend.

Worst sushi I have EVER had. WinCO Sushi is 10X better. Sushi bar had not been cleaned and had crusty stuff all over it and drink rings. Waitress was nice but not properly trained and didnt know the difference between Nigiri and Sashimi. The rice was horrible and I think it was what was killing the flavor. My order was to go and I didn't get my Unagi. Everything was bland and had no flavor. Maybe I'm coming down with something, and If I am I will revise my review. I had a Spider roll and a Caterpillar roll and you cant tell the difference in taste. Uni tasted very strange, bitter aftertaste. (I hope I don't get sick from it. I have charcoal pills so wish me luck) Sorry Yamamori. You must try harder. I really hate to torpedo a new sushi restaurant, but that was really bad. I will try once more in a couple of months.
