My expectations were not sky high with this place as it is an "express" type of place. However I will say that the quality just wasn't enough to come back for the "express" style eg: orange chicken, chow mein etc. the orange chicken was soggy. Normally places I go to will use a less watery and THICKER sauce. This chicken was just sitting in the liquid sauce. Which made it soggy. The green beans weren't bad I do believe those were fresh. The chow mein was lacking some flavor. And over all the plate itself was lacking in portion. I've been to many places like this one yet the quality , flavor , and freshness was there. Very disappointing! We came to this restaurant because it had good reviews on google but those reviews were not accurate! We got there a little after they opened and the restaurant wasn't very clean. I ordered the chinese food and it wasn't very hot and everything had a weird vinegar flavor. My husband and son ordered the pho and the broth was really cloudy and the meat looked old and dry. it also had a weird after taste. We complained but they said that's how they always cook their food and would not give us a refund. I should have known the food would be bad because the trays were sticky and everything looked kind of grimy! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!! read more

This place is great! Definite a "dying from a hangover" staple. In my mind it's more of a fast food style Chinese food. The chowmein is comparable to McDonalds and their fries. Not necessarily the best, but something about them makes it your favorite. The pho is pretty standard and yummy. It's just nice having a pho option in Selma, period. Portions for everything are really generous, especially for the price. The boba drinks are great too! Thai tea boba being my favorite. Over all, it's a cute & local place that's been around for what feels like forever. The staff is ALWAYS super friendly and wonderful. I don't know how to explain it, but what it lacks in flavor sometimes, it makes up hitting a certain "spot" with your taste buds. New to the area so decided to try some Chinese food. This place was super quick and friendly staff. The food was ok for the price. I got combination B entree and two sides for 7.49 . The food taste ok. The sweet and sour chicken was a bit on the sweet side for me and it was soaked in the sauce so made the chicken a bit soggy. The orange chicken was good. But also so much sauce it became soggy. The chowmein was great just a little too much pepper but was my fav thing on the plate. Overall it was ok for something quick wouldn't get any meats next time just chowmein. read more

My family often drives the 20-30 or so minute drive from our home to this buffet because we're big fans of the food. We often like to watch a movie at the nearby cinema and then come here afterward for lunch or dinner. We always leave happy and full! Our experiences here have been overly positive with no issues. They have some of the best Chinese food that we have tried in our area, it's the reason we come here instead of going to establishments that are closer to our hometown. The staff is always friendly, the waitresses are efficient and take care of you. The dining area is always clean (you'll often see employees sweeping or tidying up, it shows how much they respect the restaurant and their customers), and the chairs are comfortable. There's always enough seating, I can't recall the last time we ever had to wait to be seated even though the restaurant is often filled with customers. One of the more personal, defining aspects of this restaurant is that we have very picky eaters in our family, but when we bring them here they just can't have enough of their food. Their sweet and sour pork stands out as one of these items. They have a wide variety of food and a good selection of deserts which is often lacking in other restaurants. The most important aspect of this location is how quiet and comfortable it is, it's difficult to describe but my family enjoys the atmosphere as much as we enjoy the food. read more

China Hut Express is what you'd expect from a small, central valley, Chinese restaurant: the usual favorite dishes, cheap deals, and the fact that if you want chopsticks, you'll have to ask for them. I've been coming here for years and am both glad and a little disappointed to say that they have not changed much. Their veggies are always crunchy and flavorful. Their orange chicken (and most everything else) is a little too saucy but at least it has pineapple and vegetables. The rice is okay but I love the noodles. They've also recently introduced some new soups that taste yummy. The best thing I can say about China Hut--and probably the reason I keep coming back--is the excellent customer service. They are always smiling and happy to give you samples if you want to taste something. Once, I asked for eggrolls and they were all out, so the person behind the counter offered to give me extra the next time I came, and he did just that. They're also always happy to talk to their customers, which is quite refreshing in Selma. So while they're employees are as friendly as they have been for the passed couple of years, I'll keep coming here to eat their pretty alright food. read more

If I'm not in the mood to drive all the way out to Sunrise Kitchen, (my favorite Chinese restaurant) then I come here. Food is good and price is alright. It used to be a whole dollar and some odd change cheaper to get the combo A and I felt like that was reasonable, but the current price is not a deal breaker. If it goes up to $7+ then it will be. Majority of the food is made fresh so it doesn't taste like it's been sitting out for long and the employees are really nice. The chow mein has got to be my favorite thing from this place.
