Very disappointing experience. I came here with my children and spent about $38 on Yogurt, which was very good. After that, my little kids got Thirsty and wanted water, so I tried to buy three bottles for $6. The cashier refused to accept my credit card because they claimed there was a $16 minimum. What made this even more frustrating was learning about their payment policy. If your purchase is under $16, they add a $1 fee. If it's under $10, they refuse to accept a credit/debit at card at all. I understand that businesses may have their own payment policies, but to avoid to sell because they will lose cents on transaction is so cheap. I understand when a business keeps prices low and operates on razor-thin margins. I get that. But their prices are insanely high. A bill for three people is almost $100. Those aren't ice cream prices anymore -- those are ridiculous, overpriced prices. Very very cheap La and on top of that very rude. As I understand it, U.S. federal law limits minimum purchase requirements for credit card transactions to $10. In New York, businesses also have strict rules about how credit card surcharges must be disclosed and charged. The payment policy used here appears to be inconsistent with those consumer protection rules. (NYC311) I will definitely report Them and will not be coming back and cannot recommend this place to anyone. read more

Contrary to what Google says , Yogurt City does not serve Morgensterns Ice Cream. It does has varying flavors of some unique flavors of soft Yogurt. read more

Not many froyo flavors that are yummy either, all pretty basic, and some like strawberry was even terrible tasted plastic and fake. The toppings were fine. Overall just really expensive for not that great of a product. Can go if you're really craving froyo but not worth coming back unless you crave it that badly. The staff was also not the kindest at all and minimal seating area that was dirty. read more

Yogurt City - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Mediocre, middle class, except for the outrageous credit card minimum, minimal frozen yogurt flavors, and their toppings, most of which taste bland and stale. In short, this is no Sweet Frog. When it comes to frozen yogurt, I know it is hard to find a good one. Most up charge you for every little thing, and this one is no exception. I feel that this one comes up short as the frozen yogurt is bland and so is the interior of the shop. The whole experience is cold and unfriendly. At least this shop gets one thing right, the frozen yogurt is indeed cold. read more

Very disappointed with my experience. The service was horrible, and the staff came across as mean and unfriendly. The payment policy also left a bad impression -- it's essentially cash only unless you spend at least $12 on a credit/debit card, and if you spend under that amount, they charge an extra $1 fee. Even though the sign was posted, the overall experience felt unwelcoming and frustrating. Customer service and how customers are treated matter. read more

Yogurt City - Overcharge $1.00 if you do not spend $12.00. - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

This place has greedy and misleading staff. Count your change, as anything less than $12 is cash only. My yogurt was $7.03, I gave $20. She gave back $12.95. So I said where is my 2 cents (since she decided to be 3 cents greedy instead of giving full dollar). She said, we don't have pennies. So I said, here's your change, give me 1 dollar. She said, no, I'll give you 2 cents. So she did. Not only did she lie, she wanted to short change me after she nickle-and-dime This is how places lose customers and go out of business. Shame! Oh, yogurt was ok, not great. Maybe because the interaction left bad taste in my mouth. Go elsewhere. Business owners: train your young staff to be smarter. read more

Absolutely disgusting service. I simply asked, "Do you have any sample flavors?" politely might I add and was met with anger and over the top yelling. The attitude was unbelievable. Every interaction (including over the phone) felt rude and distasteful. Truly one of the worst customer experiences I've ever had I will never be coming here again. read more

My son love this place! Just they need more flavors. And accept tap to pay. I didn't have my purse with me and I couldn't pay. Because its at the end that they tell yoy they dont accept it! I had to go back to my car and that wasn't pleasant. read more

Yogurt City - Delicious - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Wanted some froyo after shopping at Macy's Backstage, and walked in to this emptied shop. Shop is big and clean, with different types of flavors Yogurt from Vanilla to Green tea, and even Taro flavor. The amount of condiments is a child's dream come true. There's gummy bears, sprinkles, chocolate bars, you name it. What I didn't like was the price has gone up double, even tripled. Yogurt itself was very cold and quickly became watery. Turned out to taste like nothing at all but a cup of icy water. read more

Extremely disappointed in this place. Came here last night and the week before. Yogurt is good. They also offer sugar free cheese cake and coconut options. They're clean too. But, when the person that works there or is probably the owner and is a stickler for everything it makes you disgusted and never want to return. My first visit there a few weeks ago I came by myself and didn't have cash. The guy behind the register gave me a hard time about using my credit card. Then on top of it he had to watch me while I decided and poured my choice of yogurt. I paid over $5 and he still gave me a hard time about using my credit card. Yesterday's visit made me never want to return again. Came with my husband and sister. Again, same guy had to pour our test tasters and watch us for a little. What a stickler. Toppings were mixed with other toppings and when I pointed it out he just swept it away. There was boba in the toasted coconut! Ew! We spent over $30 for 3 frozen yogurts. Too expensive. Then as soon as we sat down to eat, a woman came into the shop and he automatically said she had fake money. I watched him, he didn't even have a machine or one of those markers that checked for it. The guy is definitely racist (woman was black) and a stickler! Don't come here if the Asian guy is behind the counter. He's ruining this business. I'll never come here again. read more

I was craving froyo in this cold weather (crazy right?) and decided to try out Yogurt City. It was very quiet and the decor was really cute. It was extremely clean as well. Everything was self-serve so you could fill your cup with a variety of flavors (cookies n cream, pineapple, tart, vanillaa, mango, coconut, chocolate, cheesecake, green tea etc) I went for the coconut and cookies and cream. Just be mindful of how much you're adding because you pay by weight. Next, the toppings. There was a nice variety of toppings as well and you can finish off your yogurt with whipped cream or some kind of syrup. The price wasn't too bad when compared with other frozen yogurt shops. The yogurt and toppings were delicious! The fruit was fresh, the gummy bears weren't unBEARably hard, and the marshmallows were perfect. On the tv they had Disney Channel playing which shows that this place is super kid friendly as well. Would definitely return. read more

my teenage daughter has her own credit card that I got her through my bank. she is 14. she is not in HS yet and does not have a state ID. I was in the car and sent her off to get us yogurt because there was no parking. the cashier, after taking the order and making ice cream, refused her card payment because she has no id card. I spoke with him on the phone but he was idiotically stubborn. did she buy drugs? alcohol? no! yogurt! why do they hire morons? read more

BEWARE! There is a $10 minimum for card usage and the cashier will let you make your yogurt and everything without telling you. There is a tiny sign near the register. The cashier is super aggressive towards customers, shouting about why did they make a yogurt if they didn't know it was a minimum. It's very concerning how a business is looking to confuse customers with $10 minimum signs that are smaller than a salt shaker. I would avoid this place altogether as there is another dessert place two blocks away with no minimums and no aggression to customers. read more

Kind of expensive, but it's not that bad . The times I went the yogurt hit the spot when I'm in the mood for it . I usually come here after eating at a restaurant that's near by ,but it's pricey , I spent almost 20$ on a little cup and I was like wtffff , but I get it , it's expensive I guess??? read more

The favorite frozen yogurt place to go in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. The place is spotless and always has great flavors which are consistent and great toppings to choose from. Was a bit upset because the owner who definitely knows me and saw me come multiple times said "the bathroom is for customers only" when I asked him to use the bathroom (one available and not in the back or anything). I felt this was a bit rude as I am a returning customer AND was came in to get more froyo! What other reason would I come for! read more

I never ever leave yelp reviws on anything before but I had to cause this place is WIERD AS FUCK. I think the owner works the register and he yelled at me for asking for a sample cup. I thought this wierd but like who cares. However after this he literally bullied two little kids who were using their moms credit card to buy the froyo. He wouldn't let them have the product unless they called their mom into the store and made these little kids do all this shit for ice cream bro. The kids were like so innocent looking and obviously were not up to anything criminal. He was also REALLY mean to them the whole time to the point where I felt like I had to step in. Bro is diabolical. Doesn't help that the place looks like the back rooms. Fro yo was aight read more

Terrible place. They never clean their machines and the yogurt tastes really bad. Had to throw it all out. Horrible customer service also.

Really horrible business. 2 years after COVID they are trying to sell me a mask for 50 cents. Pathetic, if you are going to require masks then provide them for free. Also half machines are broken so limited choice of ice cream. Really hope they change their business practices for the better. Also over 10 dollars for frozen yogurt... really read more

This place is horrible. As reference, I only like the classic tart flavor and only purchase this flavor in any frozen yogurt store. Two experiences with this store so far. First time, I asked my friend to deliver to me. I live a few blocks away. It was watery, it lacked even the little bit of creaminess frozen yogurt should have, and there was no tart flavor. Second experience. I decided to go myself and try it before buying. Not as watery but definitely no tart flavor. I brought this to the owners attention and not only were defensive, they were rude and unwilling to take feedback from customers. *As a disclaimer, the machine dispensed about 4 spoonfuls, so I am not trying to skimp out on paying something I realized I couldn't afford. (Something these owners probably thought I was doing) I was even trying to be considerate of tasting beforehand so that I'm not potentially wasting a whole cup full. I have no issues with differences of opinion but instead of considering my feedback, all they said was "I don't know what you're talking about, it's sour and all of our customers say it's good!" Well, I don't know how a business is going to continuously improve if they're selective in the feedback they receive. Businesses like this don't deserve my money. read more

LOVED this place. The service is fast and friendly and the owner's kids are adorable and super helpful. I love that they have three non-dairy vegan options. Not free I went to get ice cream from this business but it was not free after arguing with the cashier for 30 minutes I eventually but the ice cream and it tasted good but was not free read more

The worker was very rude and disrespectful. The worker made me pay for unnecessary things, and the frozen yogurt wasn't even good.

This place is unsanitary. When you walk in it smells like raw fish. Aside from that, our family decided to give this family the business. As some ice cream was poured it was watered down and I let some of that pour into the tray. The family among themselves speaking in their language made a big scene. The man approached me in a disrespectful manner and yelled that I wasted his ice cream. I explained that the machines should be cleaned. He yelled at me "I can't do that". It is not the first time our family chooses frozen yogurt. We were disappointed. Also over charged. We hope that more families would read the reviews and stay away from places like this. The ice cream was not even good and we had to throw it away. As an employee in the food industry I give absolutely no credit to this place. read more

Nasty costumer service!!!!!!!! Disgusting they put all that fell back inside!!!!!! This is un sanitary during covid!

was very good and i am satisfied every time i come here amazing place hut a little expensive

When it comes to froyo , I tend to take it pretty seriously in comparison to my love for Ice Cream. The look of this place is very fun , family friendly and inviting, lots of bright colors , marble benches and clean tables, flashing lights and a large space. The hours are also very flexible where they are open until 10:00 on sunday and 11:30 on other nights. To sum it all up, Yogurt City really gets the job done for a yummy treat. First of all the location is convenient by the canal with plenty of parking, its nice to pick up the froyo to go for a walk by the water. It is also self serve which I like more because it gives you more freedom in terms of toppings and mixing flavors. They have different sized cups, where in other places I have gone too I only saw one standard size. A lot of the flavors were non fat or low fat so I didn't feel so guilty indulging on 3 flavors. From cheesecake, to red velvet, pistachio, original, cake better, strawberry, blueberry, green tea and caramel, everyone can find something that they will enjoy. The toppings were fresh and organized, One section had fruits like strawberries and blueberries to a section with nuts and various candies like gummy worms, bears, chocolate butter cups and chips followed by stuff that could be drizzled like peanut butter, whipped cream, honey or hot fudge. This place weighs by the ounce, and for a hefty cup like mine it didn't go over 5 dollars for my cup. I think what holds me back from giving 5 stars was that the froyo was melting really fast, this doesn't really bother me in the winter but in the summer I don't think that's ideal for someone who wants to take it to go. Other froyo places actually can give you an ice pack in a bag to keep it cold like in Pinkberry or Red Mango, so I think this place should have that option should be available. P.S. they take both cash and credit, minimum is 5 bucks. read more

I've been to many froyo places everywhere over the years and this one may be the most cleanest one I've sat and enjoyed some froyo with my wife and daughter. They have a good assortment of flavors to choose from including sugar free ones and my favorite which is the original tart. The price is very reasonable as well and you pay by the ounce. The assortment of toppings are plentiful and three is sure to be a favorite for you to enjoy. The bathroom is very clean and the tables are clean as well. It's just a very comfortable shop to enjoy. I would imagine this place to be very busy when the summer weather starts to heat everyone up soon. If I'm in the area again I would surely come back here to enjoy some froyo read more

Tried to charge me extra for trying to throw away something I had already paid for. Was extremely rude, wouldn't even tell me if he had a website to drop a review, was extremely rude to others in the location, and finally he refused to let me purchase another yogurt after throwing away the one I did not enjoy. Would not recommend this place and if I were you I would try some froyo at a different establishment. read more

Worse ice cream shop ever! Why I am supposed to take the minimum 8$ with debit?! If I want just a little bite ice cream and I don't have a cash with me! The owner doesn't want to pay tax for each transaction, and I must to take over 8$ ice cream! Ridiculous! Avoid the place! read more

Great place!! Self-serve is a plus, yogurt is good, nice variety of toppings and haven't had any issues with the staff thus far (usually the man and his young daughter). Dairy-free options as well which is a plus for vegans. Excellent!!! read more

Wish I could of gave this place a zero. Cashier came over to pour flavors for me which started off to be a pleasant experience but quickly became hast and degrogatory because she came annoyed with the fact I requested to taste multiple flavors when no one said to have flavors that weren't appealing to begin with. Then her daughter yelled at me to throw the cups in the garbage as if I am not an adult. Then as I was choosing my toppings I felt judged and attacked for taking a little longer than usual. As I sat down to enjoy what I thought would be a late night yogurt snack I quickly began to realize the candy was stale and frozen, the whip cream watery, and the overall experience to be garbage. I don't know even know how this place has a 4.6 rating. If you're in the area and you come across this place save yourself the agony of not even finding parking because your inside experience is no more worth it. read more
