Ignore the chilly reception........stay focused and look for the deals. I stop here every time I travel through Gaffney to and from Atlanta and they never disappoint. Look for designer brands and gently used. They are priced higher than expected, which can be a turn off. But, they give a 30 percent discount on all shoes. I purchased 6 pairs of designer (some hi end with leather soles) heels for $139.00. Can't beat that!!!

Bargain Shoes ( otherwise known as the Jesus store ) has been open as long as I can remember. This…read moreplace is sometimes called the Jesus store because the owner is a devout Christian. It's not meant to be derogatory but as a compliment! The shoe section is huge! And I do mean huge! I went here today in the hopes of finding a really nice pair. To my dismay; I couldn't find what I was looking for. Back in the day it was very common to locate a pair or two or more of the Bostonian brand. Not any more! As a matter of fact I purchased a pair back in the late 1970's. It was my first introduction to Bostonian; and I loved them!I think they were 25.00 dollars at the time. Back then there was also a couple of department store's on Main Street in Gaffney. They sold Bostonian shoes for 100.00 a pair! That was a lot of money then! When Walmart came here; Main Street shutdown rapidly! No department stores or anything related survived. Guess what? Bargain Shoes survived; but they had to relocate away from Walmart! I was a bit disappointed in my trip here today as I didn't recognize any brand names in the shoes. They all seemed generic. I still would have bought a pair but nothing felt good on my feet! As you can see in my pictures Bargain Shoes stocks a little bit of every kind of clothing! I still suggest that this is a good place to shop for bargains!

I came there looking for a black neck tie. They didn't have one ! I did find the only black tie in town. It was at a store named Brooks Bros. in the Prime outlet mall. It was priced at 89.00! I immediately went into sticker shock! After I regained my composure; I nicely told the pretty sales lady that that's insane! I did say it very nicely! She was indifferent and didn't care if I bought it or not! I finally made a good decision and got my daughter to order me one on Amazon for 10.00 dollars! At any rate I do definitely recommend this store!

The woman working the shop today was quite friendly, but I really only popped in to see what it was about. Even at these prices - and the prices are great - I'm just not shopping for a suit right now. But if you ARE looking for a suit tailored to fit, This and That looks like they'll have it for you and at a reasonable price. [Review 10338 overall, 104 of 2019.]

This store is very similar to a Macy's but 1/4 the size. I kept thinking I was missing an entire floor but realized it's just small. One thing I noticed is the limited stock. Some items had one or two available, it was hard to find employees and even determine who worked there. Prices are high, my assumption is they are marked up in order for 25-60% off signs to be put up. A simple beach towel was $60 with 65% off- which is what I would normally pay. Overall this store is over priced for the same items you can get anywhere else. In a pinch you can find something but it didn't seem worth it.

Not a debit card that can be run as credit only a credit card or cash. There were no signs anywhere for this! In addition when I tried to call the customer service number for Belk, it kept hanging up on me. So I tried to call the manager at the store and and it kept going to a message that said that Number is not picking up. There is not an option at either number to leave a message to have someone call me back. This is horrific customer service. I understand that technology can sometimes be an issue, but I should've known that before shopping and standing in line to purchase items. And then I should be able to speak with someone in customer service at some point!
