I'm never one to put down a thrift store, but I will NEVER step foot in here again…read more This used to be brown roof thrift store until they were recently bought/rebranded with classy upscale resale. My sister and I stopped by this past Saturday and found some really nice stuff in the window display. Specifically a little Prada bag and a little coach wallet. I stepped inside and asked if we were allowed to purchase, which I was told the manager said they could not sell those items until Monday. Keep in mind, they are on display and they are all priced, but whatever. Then proceeded to go this morning, approximately 20 minutes after they open. Checking the window display and seeing the bag is NO LONGER THERE. I ask if I can purchase the items on display, when I am told that I cannot. That the woman that runs the window display (not the manager now!) will not be selling them until later this week, and she would be there tomorrow and I could come back if I wanted. I proceeded to remind her that she was the same girl I talked to on Saturday and that she told me I could come back to purchase them on Monday. I knew they had to be full of shit because anyone that has ever worked at thrift store knows that they want to rummage through everything before they sell it to the public, and I knew that's exactly what was happening. I then proceeded to get my mom to call and they tell her that we can purchase the clothing items, but not any products in the window display. At that point, it is not worth going back because it is now under poor management and people who can't be honest with you about the shit that they are selling. Do not display and price items and then try to say they aren't for sale!!! Then when I come back they're mysteriously gone??? ZERO STARS.

If you are looking at place that has a hodgepodge of different things you will be happy here. Although I didn't buy anything I still recommend this store! I came there looking for a black neck tie. They didn't have one ! I did find the only black tie in town. It was at a store named Brooks Bros. in the Prime outlet mall. It was priced at 89.00! I immediately went into sticker shock! After I regained my composure; I nicely told the pretty sales lady that that's insane! I did say it very nicely! She was indifferent and didn't care if I bought it or not! I finally made a good decision and got my daughter to order me one on Amazon for 10.00 dollars! Bargain Shoes ( otherwise known as the Jesus store ) has been open as long as I can remember. This…read moreplace is sometimes called the Jesus store because the owner is a devout Christian. It's not meant to be derogatory but as a compliment! The shoe section is huge! And I do mean huge! I went here today in the hopes of finding a really nice pair. To my dismay; I couldn't find what I was looking for. Back in the day it was very common to locate a pair or two or more of the Bostonian brand. Not any more! As a matter of fact I purchased a pair back in the late 1970's. It was my first introduction to Bostonian; and I loved them!I think they were 25.00 dollars at the time. Back then there was also a couple of department store's on Main Street in Gaffney. They sold Bostonian shoes for 100.00 a pair! That was a lot of money then! When Walmart came here; Main Street shutdown rapidly! No department stores or anything related survived. Guess what? Bargain Shoes survived; but they had to relocate away from Walmart! I was a bit disappointed in my trip here today as I didn't recognize any brand names in the shoes. They all seemed generic. I still would have bought a pair but nothing felt good on my feet! As you can see in my pictures Bargain Shoes stocks a little bit of every kind of clothing! I still suggest that this is a good place to shop for bargains!
