I have tried their delivery service and their take out. I have to agree with the other yelpers the soup is not included with the lunch/ dinner entrees for delivery or take out. They charge an additional price if you want to add soup to go. In other words your paying for it twice. They need to reduce the menu price for delivery entrees or offer the soup. I ordered the sesame beef, beef lo mien, egg rolls and pork fried rice. The fried rice was pretty good. I'm use to eating fried rice with bean sprouts but I guess I should have asked them if it was an option. The beef lo mein was delicious . I love the sauce. Most places serve bland lo mein. Sesame beef is my favorite dish when ordering Chinese food and it had just a little kick of spice but it wasn't too spicy. The egg rolls are smaller than the average egg roll. Overall I really like the service and the food. Maybe the owner will read the comments and start offering soup for delivery. read more

Absolutely love this place! We just moved out from Lubbock and this place isn't too far from our apartment. We have had it delivered and have sat inside to eat. With delivery it was prompt and still fresh and hot! When we sat to eat it was so delicious! Our waitress was sweet and loved our son. We've had different dishes there and all were tasty. I do wish they had spring rolls, but I can settle for beef. They are still yummy. I personally love the sesame chicken and my husband always goes for kung pao. I really enjoy Ying Cafe when I need a cheap, fast meal. Their dinners are really reasonably priced, and are quite tasty. Just another Chinese food joint. So far, nothing impressive... They have the worst wonton soup I've ever had! Broth is tasteless... They only give you ONE WONTON out of ton of veggies and blah-plain-chicken breast. I just pick out the tasteless wonton and give the rest to my dog. No offense, soy souce won't even help. read more

I'm originally from CA (Los Angeles) and I've had some amazing and legitimate Chinese food. That being said its been a little difficult to find that in TX, until Ying's. Love the fresh food, love the super polite and friendly service. When you walk in it smells amazing. Makes my tummy growl just thinking about it. Yep, not very good. Ordered delivery for the first time. Food tastes heavily overcooked and tasted as if someone is re-using old cooking oil over and over? I don't know, but the dishes all tasted like that. Crab Rangoon was leathery, either because it was way pre made and then reheated or steamed in some way either accidentally or on purpose. Lo Mein was definitely NOT FRESHLY MADE and tasted twice reheated and therefore overcooked. SESAME CHICKEN arrived SOGGY and with the breading falling off. Fortune cookies were good. I just cannot recommend this place and think this place may be taking lots of short cuts during prep and not cooking many of their dishes fresh when ordered. If they did, the food would have tasted much better I will not order from here a second time. Food is too expensive. read more

Food was very good great portions. They get two stars because they over charge your card by 12 then tell you it will be a temporary hold. I trusted that ordered from them a second time, with in a week. I kept my receipts and I had to dispute it with my bank as they never submitted the right amount. read more

Delivery is really fast and prices are fair. I have to keep their menu for future orders because they are probably the best in this area, actually... I mean, it's Chinese take-out. I've had better but I have DEFINETLY had much, much worse so there ya go. My only grip is the egg rolls; they're the tiny kind, even if you buy them a la carte. Things I like is that the have lunch specials. Service is always good. I never been when it is packed, but the have nice size portions and shrimp toast. I was sitting here at work starving. I have a handful of delivery menus. I read some of the reviews on here and decided to just go with it. Since it's 50/50. I was happy with the very speedy delivery. The food was blazing hot still. The sesame chicken is so basic it's hard to go wrong- it was tasty though. The shrimp fried rice was a 6 out of 10 because I compare it to living in Japan, California, and Guam which no one has been able to get a 10 to my liking in the USA yet. But, I would order again. Worst chinese food I have had. No taste . Food was watery sauce was bland and the fried rice was dried out .egg rolls are a joke.

This has been my go-to for Chinese food for many years. For the last year or so I've only done take-out but I decided to go there yesterday because I was craving the egg drop soup and the side of noodles you get when you dine in at lunch. Right off the bat we noticed that it was extremely hot in the restaurant. I don't know if the A/C wasn't working but it must have been at least 80 degrees in there. Put it this way -- it was 83 degrees outside and felt a great deal cooler than in the restaurant. I looked at the ceiling to see if the A/C and fans were on and immediately noticed an entire ceiling tile covered in black mold. We should have just left right then but I didn't want to find another place for lunch. In the middle of eating my soup I had to take a napkin and kill a small bug crawling across the table. Unappetizing, to say the least. Our entrees were delivered fairly quickly but the noodles I had been craving were bland and almost flavorless, and the combination kung pao had very little spice to it. The soundtrack to all of this was a child around 8 years old who was sitting with one of the employees in a booth on the other side of the half wall from our booth. He yelled and made loud noise the entire 45 minutes we were in there and no one bothered to tell him to stop. We were beyond disappointed and agreed that we will have to find a new Chinese restaurant. Even though recent take-out from Ying Café has been good, I won't order from a place with bugs and mold in the air. read more

We like this place. The food is good and we consistently get good service. We usually go at lunch time for the lunch special. I like the egg drop soup and triple delight.
