I have never done acupuncture. I was looking for new ways to help with my migraines. I have gone twice to far and although I haven't noticed a huge difference I do feel a slight change. I feel so relaxed when walking out of there. For never having acupuncture and not knowing what to expect the procedure is easy and not uncomfortable. The only thing is you have to lay still for about 30-45 min. With out moving to not disturb the needle so be prepared to lay there. Yin Yang Acupuncture has been on my radar for over 2 years but I procrastinated coming because I was scared and skeptical. Then about a month and a half ago I finally worked up the courage to try acupuncture for the first time! What sealed the deal was reading one of the reviews from Brig who I know from the salon I get my hair done. Reading how Dr. Lin helped her mom who had a stroke really convinced me and melted away any skepticism I may have had. My first visit, I met Dr. Lin and she was so warm, kind, and accommodating to my nervous energy. I came in with level 8-9 pain and tension in my neck, shoulders, back, knees, stomach, jaws. Everything! But before she could get to work on me Isaid, "Whoa wait! Before you stick me, you gotta tell me how this works!" Unlike WESTERN MD doctors, she did not dismiss my question with a condescending vague answer, no, instead she took a deep breath and with a smile and patience in her tone, she tried to explain it as best she could. Then I asked more questions, "Well how deep do you stick the needle?" She patiently answered and put me at ease. And THEN the real magic happened, she inserted the needles. I hardly felt a thing!!! I was pleasantly shocked!! She left me in my room with soothing music and instantly I was asleep. Next thing I knew she was coming in to remove the needles and I sat up feeling AMAZING. I have been seeing Dr. Lin Lin for acupuncture and Kat for massage over the past few months, and am so happy with both of their services. Made an appointment for a deep tissue massage, and got oil gently rubbed all iver my body pretty much. I am not the type of person who doesn't speak up, but despite the 3-4 times I told my masseuse to use more pressure,she was not making the adjustment, and continued to give me the gentlest massage I've ever received. She also kept leaving the room for 1-2 minutes at a time, to grab things I guess. Omg - Dr. Lin is THE BEST. I went to her with a pinched nerve in my neck and I could barely get my arm up passed my elbow without screaming with pain. Dr Lin did ONE session for me and I went from MAJOR PAIN AND VERY MINIMAL MOVEMENT to almost 85% back to normal after 40 min of acupuncture. I am now about to go one more time - she originally said I needed 8 sessions but after my third I improved almost to 100% functional again that I only need this last session coming up. I love this place. I found yin yang on Yelp and was looking for a good acupuncture place to relieve my stress and anxiety and tons of thyroid symptoms. Dr. Lin and Yuhan are true healers. I had never had acupuncture before Yuhan Li and Dr. Lin. I had IMMEDIATE relief after the first time with Yuhan. I was in chronic pain for years before seeing him. When I was finished the first time, I felt like I was "drunk" and completely relaxed. I went home and slept for 2 hours. So if it's your first time, and you've had years of imbalance and chronic pain, make sure you give yourself some time to rest afterwards. When I woke up from the nap, I already began to feel my symptoms of pain ease. The next day, so much better! It was incredible! Being that I felt such positive changes, I scheduled another appointment. This one was with Dr. Lin who fit me in the day I was going to Disneyland because she knew I would be "walking around a lot." After that session I felt better posture and a "lightness" in my hip area. My shoulder that she focused on as well had some activity going on in there for the better. I was COMPLETELY pain free walking around all day at Disneyland and not sore at all! The next day my shoulder didn't hurt either! I've had a 3rd appointment since then and I have to say my shoulder is pain-free, my energy flows so much better through my body and I actually feel like I've lost weight! After 35 years of nursing and my back going out chronically, I had an acute episode where I could not get out of bed.
