I've been wanting to order from this place for the past month. I've read so many wonder reviews and thought we'd give it a try today. Our order was placed through Doordash. I ordered two super gyros plates. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how delicious they were. The gyros were stuffed with tons of meat, Tasty Tzatziki sauce and tons of tomatoes and pieces of feta cheese. Just fabulous all around. And the portions sizes were huge. The sandwiches came with Greek salads and a choice of rice or French fries. I got the fries and my husband got the rice. The salads were plentiful and very hearty. I loved the French fries as well. I am so thrilled that we tried Yiassoo's restaurant. I definitely look forward to ordering from here again and trying different items on the menu. And once the corona virus is behind us, and restaurants are open again for indoor seating, I'd love to eat at the restaurant instead of at home. But for now, I will continue to order delivery. Oh yes. Can I just say.. I love these gyros! It's FRESH, FLAVORFUL, & FULFILLING. I usually order #15 gyro plate which comes with a choice between rice and fries paired with a side of tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, & feta cheese. There are two sauces, red which has a little spicy kick to it and a white sauce which resembles a yogurt taziki sauce. I used to work on Campbell Technology Parkway near Edith Morley park back in 2003-2005 time frame. Many of us would come here frequently for lunch, back then it was great. Back then it was authentic Greek food, prepared in the traditional fashion, quality ingredients skillfully prepared. Fast forward to 2020, the food is only meh for me now. A lot has been lost over the years in taste & quality. Example -- the Greek salad was stored improperly or refrigerator set too low, just not the same as it used to be -- tomatoes were way past their prime, mushy -- ended up throwing it away. The pita bread is a poor substitute of the kind they used to serve. One shining star of everything I ordered were their dolmas, they seemed to be very fresh and tasted authentic. All in all, I noticed the drop in quality with an increase in pricing. Next time I'm in the area, I think I'll pass. read more

We order online thru doordash and it was a pretty big order for 6 adults and 2 children!! They not only got everything right but arrived early!!! And the food was so amazingly delicious!! I love this place. They have really good food, the portions are great, definitely good value for your money and the service is wonderful. We've eaten here a few times before the quarantine and just wished they had more tables...they tend to be packed every time we went (as any good food places do) so we usually had to wait a bit for a table...but they do have outside seating which is nice. The chicken souvlaki plate was delicious. It came with a greek salad and rice. It also came with pita, which was warm, grilled, and as flavorful as anything else on the plate. This place is great! I'm obsessed with their veggie gyros plate - I get it over rice and the portions are huge! Comes with a bowl of Greek salad on the side. Usually, I dine at the Yiassoo on De Anza Blvd, but due to logistics, I dined in Campbell. Both restaurants appear to be comparable. One slight difference I noticed is that the at the Campbell location, the cucumber tomato salad does not have the Kalamata olive and stick of feta that was served at the De Anza Blvd location years ago. Too bad. Another change that I do appreciate is that the white sauce and ketchup are served at the table in squeeze bottles. Finally! Years ago, you'd only get one little container at a time. From my first bite to my last I enjoyed this meal immensely. The portions are huge and filling even for someone as myself with an insatiable appetite! They skimped nowhere. The fries were perfect, super crunchy on the outside and soft inside...and they come to you HOT! The Gyro was delicious and crammed with meat, the wrap bread was soft and reminded me of naan. The greek Salad had an anormous amount of Feta. My final take on Yiassoos is the food can stand it's ground amongst some of the other Medeterainian spots here in the South Bay. Disappointing on all counts except the French Fries. How sad is that. Our grandson ordered fish and chips. The 'chips' were the highlight. How sad is that. Me and Wes either get the chicken souvlaki plate or the veggie gyro sandwich. The souvlaki is moist and flavorful, prices are fine, not great. The place itself is clean inside and mostly clean outside. The wait for food is usually 15 minutes (even if it's slow) up to 20 if it's really slammed. This place is a gem! Though the sign outside looks dated, the interior is clean and spotless. And quiet! This a nice place to just relax and enjoy a great meal! Like any really good restaurants, they take their time cooking. Our order took about 20 minutes to arrive, we were not disappointed! We ordered the lamb slouvaki and the gyro plate (which came with a cucumber salad and fries, the salad fresh and delightful, the fries cooked to a nice golden brown crispness!) The lamb slouvaki sandwich was stuffed with large cubes of lamb meat, cooked to a nice medium rare, bordering on rare. This slightly raised some co cern, but the lamb was very tender, juicy and flavorful. Many other Mediterranean places, in my opinion, overcook their meats to the point of being dry and/or tough. Wow! What's difference. The gyro plate was also stuffed with lots of tender meat. The person in front was very polite and friendly, and the two in the back diligently cooking away were really doing an efficient job at getting out some great eats. The food here is fantastic!! Definitely a nice spot for a quick casual meal. We popped in on a Friday night, and were eating within 10 minutes. The space is on the smaller side but we were able to get a table. People seem to come pick up food and head out, which we may do next time. I'm vegan and I had plenty of options here. My carnivorous husband was also very happy. He had a gyro and I had the falafel salad. The Greek fries have a little lemon juice and remind me of home :) The only thing, is that it was definitely not one $, but more like two $$. We ordered 2 meals, fries and a beer and spent about $50! Updated review for their pick up orders. I have a gluten and dairy allergy. I ordered delivery thru DoorDash and put down in the special instructions not to put gluten or flour products, and no cheese on anything. I get my food and my entire entree is sitting on a bed of pita bread, and my salad is drowning in dressing that I assume has ranch or something. I was limited to eating just my entree where nothing touched the pita. It tasted good just had to toss 2/3 of it out. Caution to those eating gluten free or fair free when ordering. I can't believe I didn't try Yiassoo sooner! I was a little concerned when I came in around 11 am and the place was empty. Luckily, I just beat the rush, because a lot of people began trickling in. Their menu is quite extensive. I got to try the Chicken Souvlaki Plate and Gyros Sandwich. Both were amazing! For the plate, I had the option to choose between fries or rice. I went with fries and did not regret it, the fries were extra crispy. The chicken tasted great and so did the side salad. Service here is great! You order and pay first, then seat yourself.
