This place is so nostalgic because it took over Joy Tsin Lau and I went to so many weddings there growing up. The interior is a bit confusing because I'm not sure what they were going for BUT the food is amazing. A simple cucumber salad was so delicious. Everything we ordered was 10/10. Warning: if you ask for spicy, it is very spicy!

Yi Pin is one of my favorite Szechuan restaurants in my rotation. The dry pepper chicken and wonton soup are dishes I order almost every time, even to go. The chicken and peppers are always crispy and flavorful. We once got the BBQ skewers dining in and they were good. Service is quick and they come back to refill water often, which is good for a Szechuan restaurant. I do find there is some inconsistency when ordering Uber Eats where rice isn't always provided, which can be confusing.

The atmosphere inside the restaurant is so modern and cute. I loved the flowers around the chandeliers! It definitely was a great experience for our first time at this restaurant. We have tried Yi Pin in Lancaster where we are from and it was just as great. Highly recommend trying this place! Also the mapo tofu sauce was super spicy!!

Good no taste I give them 3 chances no more I request no oil as possible but still too munch oil all three time I tried too much oil you don't taste amythiif you love oil this restaurant won't disappoint you

This place is open late at night and has good eats. They have a full bar, tons of seating and a robust menu. the chicken and the fried rice were good. The soup dumplings were tasty too and wish we ordered more. The staff is attentive and very fast. Def recommend and we met a celebrity leaving the restaurant too.

Another great place in China Town! A vast menu that I wish I had more time to explore. Kept it pretty basic with some garlic sauce tofu and broccoli. A table near ours ordered a huge cross-section of the menu and had us wishing we could join their table, lol. Friendly service, late hours, and even room to do karaoke if you so desire.

This place is great if you want a late night snack after a long night out. After going to Trestle Inn, we decided to head out to Yi Pin. Lucky for us, they were open and serving food until 2am. The place has a gorgeous interior full of different kinds of chandeliers. There was even a tv in the center which was used for karaoke. Our server came out pretty quickly to take our orders. We got Dandan Noodles and Pineapple Seafood Fried Rice. The Dandan Noodles and Pinapple Seafood Fried Rice were ok. I felt like the Pinapple Seafood Fried Rice was lacking in flavor and there wasn't a lot of seafood in there (there was artificial crab meat and shrimp in small quantities). The pineapples would have been better if they came in bigger chunks. I ended up putting some of the Dandan sauce in the fried rice to help make it taste less plain.

We came here because the neighboring restaurants were full. It was a mistake... we should've know by how empty the restaurant was on a friday evening. All dishes were a bit off in different ways. The crispy milk wasn't as soft as it should be. The crispy sweet corn was over sprinkled with sugar, but the salted egg yolk flavor was interesting. The spicy beef was over cooked and the beef was too tough to chew. The environment was clean. Food was slow to arrive and the restaurant only had two other tables to serve...

My friend loves Sichuan food and recommended this place! They have a karaoke stage up front which is pretty interesting. Dumpling in Chili Sauce 8/10 - tangy spicy note - filling was good and skin was chewy Fried String Beans 10/10 - had the crunch to it still, not overly salted - nicely seasoned Double Cooked Pork Belly 9/10 - I expected it to be large chunks, but definitely enjoyed the thin slices much more - very flavorful oily goodness Dry Chicken 8/10 - crispy - would've liked there to be bigger chunks of chicken Spice level was perfect for all the dishes -- enough to get the heat but still enjoy the food! Service was a bit below average as staff seemed inattentive and didn't check up on us or fill our waters. We ended up having to go up front to ask for our check and to go boxes.

Came here after a concert at almost midnight. The food was incredible! We got the shrimp dumplings, garlic sauce with tofu, and mapo tofu (not pictured) we shared the dishes because they were a lot more food than it initially appeared The food was hot! And super fresh and came out really quickly. A lovely place with lovely staff!

I got dinner here recently after not coming for a while and was reminded just how good it is. Really delicious, authentic, and affordable Northern Chinese food - my mom is from that region and always asks to come here whenever she visits. The noodle portions are huge and expertly hand-crafted and cooked for the perfect bouncy chewy texture. The dumplings are also lowkey the best in Chinatown, with a thicker chewy skin characteristic of Northern-style dumplings, a juicy filling bursting with flavor, and a perfect sweet soy sauce dip on the side. Service is quick and friendly, with the servers able to accommodate both Chinese and English speakers and happy to give recommendations. And you can tell from the clientele that this place is a hit with both Chinese and non-Chinese diners alike. It was packed on a Friday night! It's BYO too so you can even imbibe in some drinks with dinner without breaking the bank. FYI that they only accept cash and Venmo for payment.

(Note: if you only want smaller serving of their great, thick noodles, order $4 add-on as a side in place of rice with regular dish.) I always have leftovers to enjoy at home. Dumpling orders are large and shareable. (Always 6 or 8 pieces.) My fave when dining in is amazingly delicious and huge Fish Fillet in Hot and Sour Cabbage Broth. (That's best with rice side to help absorb broth.) So good and healthful to balance the dough density of whatever dumplings you might also order -- they're all great. When getting order to go (or delivered) I like Kung Pao Chicken; it travels well. Order added green veggie dish for sharing -- I lean toward Chinese Broccoli; you'll really want the balance with the delicious dumpling and noodle dishes. However, I found that the meal didn't live up to what I remembered at the UCity Han Dynasty or the Sichuan food I've had at other spots. My partner and I ordered the dan dan noodles and double cooked pork belly to share, our longtime regular order. The portions were generous and prices were affordable, but both dishes fell short in some ways. The dan dan noodle sauce was mostly sesame-based with little of the chili heat I remembered, and there was only a bit of the ground pork topping. It left me wondering whether they hold off on the spice at this location due to the clientele, whether they changed the recipe, or whether it was just an off day. The pork in the double cooked pork was overcooked and tough, and the dish didn't have enough of the veggie components (leeks and peppers) to balance it out. Another minor nitpick - there was a World Cup game going on while we ate and the multiple downstairs TVs had the game on. The second floor where we were seated also had a nice big TV, yet it seemed to be left on a screensaver slideshow of random landscape photos. Would have been nice to watch the game! I was overall left feeling pretty meh about the meal. I'd give the UCity location another shot, but don't think I'd come back to the Old City one.
