I feel as if this review may be a little unfair since we went for Christmas Day Night. We will start off by saying we would love to go back and try this place on a non-holiday. The environment was nice, decorated for Christmas! Huge revolving tables for large groups who share items! The staff worked hard! It looked like there was only 2 employees working the long wait, tables, and take out orders. They held their own and did a great job! Food took a long time, I think staffing issues, holiday, and how packed the place was factored into this. We were there for almost 2 hours. The food was good, but I wouldn't say it cracks the Great category. The chicken and rice serving sizes were average compared to other places in the area. The Lo Mein serving size was very good! We got General Taos Chicken and Orange Chicken. This place uses a lot of sauce and the chicken is battered heavy. The lo mein was definitely better then the chicken entrees. Entrees are not allowed to be upgraded for fried rice and they do not come with egg rolls. Most chicken dishes run above 20 dollars.

Finally checked this place out and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and a huge size. We got the scallion pancakes (amazing) steamed shrimp dumplings (four large chunks) beef dry pot (very spicy) and the shrimp and broccoli. There was so many other things we wanted to try but it would have simply been impossible to eat all that. We will be returning soon though. Wait staff was friendly and didn't miss anything. The space is nice. Not fancy or anything but clean and comfortable.

Ordered takeout from here. Casual dine-in Chinese place. Good service, was very friendly when I walked in. Helped me right away. I ordered shredded pork in garlic sauce and fried pork buns. Both were very flavorful and fresh. Loved the variety of textures in the pork dish with the addition of wood ear mushroom. Fried pork buns were fluffy and soft! Will come back and try more!!

The dishes are authentic, made with fresh ingredients, and generously portioned. The service is warm and attentive, and the dining environment is clean and comfortable. Every dish is memorable--definitely a five-star experience!

Spicy Braised Bullfrog: A spicy adventure of Poinsettia I tried the spicy braised bullfrog at Yipinhong, and it really stood out. The texture is a bit like chicken, but much more delicate. Cooked with chili peppers, Sichuan peppercorns, and garlic, the flavor was bold, spicy, and numbing in the best way. The owner mentioned that the bullfrogs are marinated first to remove any fishy taste, then quickly stir-fried to keep the meat tender. You can tell they put a lot of care into handling the ingredients. It's a great example of Sichuan cuisine's signature balance of heat and numbing spice.

This may be the only authentic Sichuan cuisine in the Harrisburg metro area. Sichuan province is known for spicy dishes. The numbing Sichuan peppercorn got its namesake there. There used to be another authentic Chinese restaurant (HE in Middletown) albeit serving different regional cuisines; unfortunately, that one closed for good a few months ago. So for me the stake was high. The dining area was spacious and clean. Plenty of table of various sizes. Ambiance was above average Chinese restaurants. Ample parking spaces on both sides of the building, as well as in the back. There was just 1 staff who waited the tables, took orders, and manned the cash register. He's friendly and quick. The menu book was big featuring many nice photos of their offerings. There was also a separately one-page menu listing specials for the current month. The prices were on the higher side compared to typical Chinese American restaurants, but for the 2 dishes we ordered, the size of serving was quite fair. We waited 15 minutes for the 2 dishes: 1. Hot & Spicy Fish Filet w. Cumin (孜然香辣魚片) $18.95. A lot more fish filets than we expected. The filets were deep fried, crispy and with just enough heat to kick it up a notch. 5 out of 5. 2. Chicken w. Dry Pepper (歌樂山辣子雞) $15.95. I really wanted to try this and compare to 重慶辣子雞 which is a well known chicken with dry pepper dish from Sichuan, whereas, I've NEVER heard of this particular spin (as distinguished via its Chinese name). I was sorely disappointed. The chicken pieces were cut too small and coated with way too much batter. It was really stodgy and got old really quick. 2 out of 5. So far hit or miss. But given its large menu, this place warrants another visit without question.

Visiting from Atlanta on business and stumbled up on this gem of a Chinese restaurants. I had the Sal and pepper squid and it was very good. So many items to choose from. Next time I'm in town I will be back to try another dish as their menu is extensive. Fast courteous service. 5/5 rating for me. Lancaster has a winner with this spot.

Definitely plan to go again. So many interesting things on the menu. I went with the soup dumplings and spicy braised beef soup the waiter made sure I liked it spicy and I didn't know what I was getting into but said sure! It was great though. Lots of flavor, tingling from the peppercorn, and still had other notes to it. While I can't say the same for the dumplings, they were good but the filling lacked the flavor.

We had a great meal here. It's really the best place I've found in Lancaster for more authentic Chinese foods, especially dumplings. While I couldn't get the nephew to try anything exotic, the classic fried rice and lo mein dishes he did go for were super tasty. We were in Lancaster, PA and I think we were the only people speaking English in the whole restaurant-- it definitely draws the local Asian American community. That seems like an added vote in its favor!! The restaurant interior is not fancy. It could use a little refreshing and deep cleaning. The servers seem a little harried but it always seems very busy with dine in and take out so they have A LOT to manage for a small crew! I would definitely recommend this place.

Authentic Asian food, great service. We especially enjoy shrimp dumplings and crab Rangoon but have enjoyed all we have tried so far!

This food was remarkable. Family style servings. This place is more authentic than we are you used to so I was a little intimidated with only having chopsticks, but the servers were not pretentious. It is a clean place with colorful decor. Small, but spacious. You don't feel right on top of other diners. Szechuan beef and onions was phenomenal. Incredibly tasty and tender. The onions were perfectly prepared. The Korean ribs were tasty although I didn't get any heat and they were listed as 2 chili peppers. We tried the rice balls as an app. They were yummy and sweet I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Okay so not fair I'm an ex New Yorker, but that aside, I was pleased to see such a variety of wonderful Szechuan dishes. While pork cheeks and intestines don't excite me, I am sure there will be gourmets out there who will appreciate the menu's effort. But rice. Is nice. But can I have more than half a cup on the side (pork fried) please. Since I am paying 10.99? My experience was as a take out customer. I also bitch about PF Changs limp attempt at giving one an actual serving. Im a rice nut, so sue me already. read more

My family and I were looking for something warm, comforting, and delicious that was not fast food after the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire. This was it!! The amazing aroma from outside told us this was going to be tasty. And it was! The food came out quickly, and we were served around 7:30 pm. The service was great and so kind and considerate. I was so impressed with an authentic Szechuan Menu and they served delicious dishes from Chicken with Assorted Vegetables in white sauce, Honey Chicken, Egg Drop Soup, and Soup Dumplings! My family was in heaven. And then the price? About $50 for my family of four, which is amazing because McDonald's or Chick-fil-a is just as expensive for fast food. This was absolutely a killer deal. When we come through for the faire, we will make this a tradition. I even spoke to the owners, who greeted my children and gave them candies at the end, and begged them to come to the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. A girl can dream! The tables were clean and tidy, and the restaurant was cute and traditional Chinese style. Can't wait to come back. read more

Food is great never had a good Chinese dishes in this area. Service is a little bit lacking although there are only two servers the younger male server is somewhat slow and forgetful the lady server is better although her English is limited. The guy had to be reminded twice to get our fish order. Ambiance is okay place is clean. Its nice there are a lot of customers which I think speaks for itself that the food is very good and delicious. read more

It is so rare to find an authentic Szechuan restaurant in Lancaster, PA. Be brave and try some Szechuan dishes. I tried the January special stir-fried Spicy Pork Belly, Chicken with Dry Pepper, and Sour Cabbage and Clear Noodle Soup. Reasonably priced with ample parking space. This place is LEGIT! Authentic Chinese cuisine experiences in Lancaster PA! I highly recommend their Shanghai Soup Dumplings. It is amazing. Once again, my friend and I had another insanely good meal here. The building is a bit unassuming, but the real magic comes from the kitchen. There are menu items that aren't too spicy, but you can really lean into the spice if you're into that. We had a birthday party for 13 guests and the food and service were all excellent and authentic. We had the soup dumpling to start with; then steamed striped bass with ginger and scallion; Sweet and Sour fried striped bass; Beef with onion and scallion; Salt and Pepper shrimp; Shredded pork in garlic sauce; Chicken with dry pepper., Eggplants with garlic sauce. I have eaten here three times and while I do find the food delicious the service is absolutely terrible. The apps and entres were delivered all at the same time after waiting a ridiculous amount of time. Why bring soup and entre at the same time? When I said something about entrees getting cold it was clear the food runner did not understand a word I said. The server did not come by once to check on us or even refill our water. Anybody that eats at these places knows as soon as you take a sip the refill is on its way. I had to get up and interrupt him as he was taking another order to request our check because if I didn't he might never have come back. If they were busy I could understand. However, it was dead on a Saturday night. The food is good but the unwelcome atmosphere is off putting. I'll stick with Eastern Palace from now on where the food is just as delicious and the owner walks around and greets his customers while making them feel welcomed. read more

A truly horrible experience. I was visiting from out of town and ordered the egg drop soup and double cooked pork (chef's special) for dinner. The soup was hot, but tasted strange- almost as if it was prepared using dishwater! The "double cooked" pork was nothing more than a big plate of greasy over crisped and stale bacon- no other pork cuts on that plate- with a few pieces of scallions, green peppers and chili's floating in oil. Needless to say I left most of the food untouched. I've had double cooked pork in many restaurants. While each place puts its spin on it, I've NEVER had a plate of bad bacon passed off for this dish and usually the veggies with this dish are cabbages or something else, quite substantial, not a few odd green slivers. Do not waste your time on this place, regardless of their claims to authenticity. read more

We also ordered those and found the flavor still to be good, but the size was smaller. It's a shame because it used to be great. We did carry out, but the dining room was completely empty. I hope they fix whatever changed.

They provided us with what they called their old menus and everything we tried to order They said they didn't have because it was on the old menu.
