Just read the inspection review and will never be coming back. They had to close it due to having a roach infestation and roaches coming out of aprons as well as roach eggs in prep stations, when the city went back to inspect again they still had roaches. On the third time they got a clear but eww gross. It's online you can look up the full report. It was done on a couple of days ago.

The young man at the counter was very polite and helpful. His service was outstanding. During our visit, we were the only ones there. Through our meal, only two customers came in 42 go orders. And this was a lunchtime. Perhaps they have a larger dinner business.Hopefully, business as well. And they stay open. The places well decorated and very comfortable to dine in. The salt and pepper pork chops were tasty and tender. The one time soup was huge, and the broth was amazing. The chow mein was also tasty but seemed to lack a little something. The fried rice was the only plate I would alter. Something about the taste made it seem a little fishy. Also, it seemed like the color really wasn't there. However, overall it was a very good meal with very good service. And a very relaxing place.

We had lunch at Yi Long on a weekday in Natomas, Sacramento. Interestingly, they don't have lunch specials, but they do have a special list of combo plates that are available all day long. We ordered the orange chicken with bbq fried rice and the broccoli beef with white rice. Each combo plate comes with a spring roll. To upgrade to fried rice or chow mein, it's an extra $2.50. The orange chicken was breaded and fried and tasted good. The server said they used oranges from their backyard...it was good! I liked the bbq fried rice too. The broccoli beef was good as well. The spring roll was okay, but tasted much better with dipping sauce. I've been to Yi Long many years ago when they first opened and had good experiences. However, they had switched owners approximately 5 months ago and the new menu is slightly different (no baked dim sum items). We were the only ones that dined in at the time, but there were lots of to-go orders. Service was good and the restaurant decor was typical of an authentic Chinese restaurant.

We went here New Year's Day and there was nobody inside. We ordered wonton soup, shrimp dumplings, shiu mai, xiao long bao, pan-fried soup bao, pan-fried chive dumpling, wonton in red chili oil, and beef wrap roll. The food came out right away and we ate away. Not a long wait. My favorite was the shiu mai, xiao long bao, pan-fried chive dumpling, and wonton in red chili oil. Shiu mai tasted fresh. Favorites were tasty. The whole table did not like the beef wrap roll with fresh onions inside that was so strong. You have to ask for the chopsticks which surprised everybody. The staff is friendly and nice. Spacious inside. Outside there were a lot of people just hanging out so I do not know how it is at night. Thank you. Take care. Been here before New Year's on my own and tried the wonton noodle soup and the pan-fried chive dumpling. Enjoyed both dish. Just add seasonings to the noodle soup. Lots of noodles in the soup. Will go here again.

What a wonderful surprise.... -Location is "Super Sketch" - food and service was on point, definitely worth the adventure into the "questionable" shopping complex. -Beef chow fun: excellent "WOK HEI".......delicious -Potstickers were flavorful and crispy. -Soup dumplings were very juicy.... -Shrimp ball - rival those from dim sum spot in south sac..... Verdict: definitely one of the better tasting Chinese restaurant in the Natomas area. Suggestion: need to streamline the business model operationally - keep the food quality - this place is a hidden gem that can really shine....will be back to support this family own business.....

Food- very very good, but the good ol' fave of "it's not SF" is a fitting description. Service- we were the only ones there are the time so we were waited on just fine. Ambiance- place was empty. I think there was an employee sitting at one other table but other than that, empty. Kinda nuts to have illustrations of the dishes on the walls. Eh. Big arse spoons- I didn't order soup dumplings, nor soup so it was there for looks. Mmkay sure. WiFi- nope. The place next door (Domino's) had an open system so sure. The har gow (shrimp dumplings) seemed a touch bland. Extra points for them throwing in six, maybe due to their size. Kinda small. Siu mai was very decent. Noodles- weren't really pan fried even though we order the house special pan fried chow mein. Swimming in gravy and while some may find that to be too much, I thought it was fine. Just be forewarned, there was lots of gravy. Might come back if in the neighborhood. Not sure what would bring me back to this neck of the woods though. Good game.

I stopped in for lunch on a weekday, thinking this was a Dim Sum-style restaurant since I'd been craving shrimp and chive dumplings. Sadly, weekday Dim Sum options are quite limited -- only about four items were available, and none of them were what I had in mind. So, I decided to go with one of my favorite comfort dishes: Chow Fun. Although barbecue pork with tofu wasn't on the menu, they did have barbecue pork and fun noodles, so I asked if they could combine them -- and they happily accommodated! The staff here are some of the happiest, most attentive people I've encountered, which instantly made the experience better. My dish arrived piping hot, with noodles cooked to absolute perfection. The mung beans, onions, and scallions were crisp and lightly sautéed, and the barbecue pork was tender, juicy, and plentiful -- exactly how it should be. The only drawback was the soy sauce; it tasted cheap and overwhelmingly salty, making it hard to enjoy without several cups of tea or water.

Enjoyed the weekend dim sum spread last Sunday along with a few dishes, like garlic green beans and salt and pepper pork chops. Although not a dim sum restaurant, there were about a dozen offerings, including soup dumplings and pan fried buns, in addition to the standard ha how, siu mai, and bbq pork buns. The service is excellent and the space comfortable.

Braised fish and tofu-this was our favorite!

My bf wanted to try a new place for dim sum in natomas so we came here-we got the xiaolongbao, braised fish and tofu, chili wontons, and scallopfried rice. The scallop fried rice paired super well with everything we got. My bf got it because we normally don't see scallop fried rice being offered as a carb at a lot of places. The chili oil wontons were our least favorite, but were still delicious nonetheless. Its just that everything else was a bigger standout to this place. I def highly recommend the xiaolongbao and braised fish and tofu which i can see myself getting both again-even my bf who doesn't normally love cooked seafood really enjoyed it, and the good thing is that if you eat with a person who also has that preference, a good chunk of the dish is tofu. It also had a generous portion of onions, shiitake, and green onions, so I felt like I wasnt missing out on not ordering a separate veggie dish One of the most notable things about every dish we got was that nothing was too oily or salty despite still being packed with flavor, which was mentioned in a lot of reviews that i saw. The food also came out really quickly and came out piping hot which I always appreciate! Service was also really friendly. The portions were HUGE. we ended up having to pile up two to go boxes, but Im not complaining lol

Nice option in South Natomas. Located in a strip mall near Popeyes. Inside is clean and well maintained. Ordered and served quickly. Unfortunately, it was a holiday weekend when they were busy in the morning so they were out of a lot of of the things we asked for. They were out of veggies, boba, chive dumplings, egg tarts. What we ended up with was good though, and my family enjoyed it. 4/5 beef chow fun 5/5 soup dumplings 4.5 spicy chicken 4/5 wontons in chili oil

Heard there was a change in ownership so I tried this place again. They still have their lunch specials which is a good deal. They serve a large plate with rice and a main course which can be enough for two meals. ordered their pan fried dumplings which is supposed to have soup in it but there was none. It also had way too much dough and not enough meat. I really liked the way they pan fried their dumplings in the past with the crispy skirt but they no longer have this option. Service was decent though the strip mall they're located in seems more sketch now. There were multiple homeless people in the parking lot and it smelt smoky.

This place is so good I already want to go back. I got their salt and pepper pork chops as well as their dry-cooked green beans and a side of rice. The pork chops were just so deliciously cooked and so crispy too and did not have much bone with it so it was just *chefs kiss*. The green beans were also very good but i wasnt expecting it to be spicy so i wish they would indicate that on their menu with a symbol because the picture looked like they were just steamed green beans. But i do like spicy food , i just wasnt prepared to eat spicy food that afternoon. Other than that, it was also the right type of service that i personally feel like was right for me. They checked in on me from time to time but not often, i liked that they just left me alone to eat and enjoy my food. Restaurant was very clean and beautifully decorated. I will most definitely be coming back :)

My mom and I wanted Chinese for dinner on Saturday and I found this place on Yelp not too far from where we live. They are located in Natomas next to Bel Air and Popeye's. We arrived around 5pm and there were already a few tables full of families. The inside was clean and spacious. Staff was very friendly as well. We ordered the Honey Walnut Shrimp, Chicken Fried Rice, Combination Chow Fun, Pan-Fried Chives Dumplings and the BBQ Pork Bao Buns. Everything tasted very fresh and I liked that the Pan-Fried Chives Dumplings and BBQ Pork Bao Buns were made fresh to order - they took longer than the entrees to come out. There was so much food - we took home leftovers that lasted us through the weekend. I loved everything we ordered, but I would definitely like to come back and order different entrees to try next time like their Dimsum. One lady walked by our table on the way out raving about their Green Beans. We'll definitely be back soon! Check them out!

First time experiencing the menu outside of Dim Sum. Here are my notes:…read more Special Fried Rice in Claypot - Refreshing fried rice due to the addition of the cilantro. You can taste the umami from the roe and other ingredients that I am not entirely sure are but taste familiar. I enjoyed and loved it. Mapo Tofu - Firm Tofu and good sauce. Although I do enjoy more of a Sichuan-style spicy mapo tofu (with the very numbing taste), I still found this mapo tofu delicious as you can taste the flavor of the pork and sauce coating the tofu. 2 Entree BBQ Platter: Roast Duck and Empress chicken - I'm biased towards roast duck. I love roast duck so any roast duck is good to me. Not a lot of comment on the duck. However, the Empress Chicken is nicely seasoned with the whatever broth they cooked it in. One of the few Empress Chickens where I can enjoy it without the scallion-ginger oil, but the scallion-ginger oil still elevates this Chicken to a higher level. Congee with Pork and Preserved Egg - Comforting and triggers a lot of nostalgic feelings for me. I didn't have to add too much additional soy sauce or chili sauce because the congee has a great base flavor. Preserved egg and pork weren't too chunky, rice was not too "mushy", and the overall congee was in a good thickness to create a nice mouth feel for each bite. Will visit again to try the other dishes.

Drinks aren't rated, as they don't sell house cocktails (though they sell a small selection of beers and wines). All-in-all a solid menu. The dilemma is that we generally felt unwelcome. We came by on a Sunday evening at 6:30 pm (and paid and left by 8:20 pm which is 10 minutes before closing). We were a party of 8 with diverse backgrounds, and with exception to one server (a woman wearing red who was maybe a manager), the staff just weren't friendly toward us. I will say that one woman in red was so kind. She made sure to say "bye" as we left. I will add one of my friends mistakenly tried to take a pair of chopsticks (as they are set on the table in a paper slip). She didn't realize they were store owned/reusable vs throwaway. She quickly apologized, but that became the final straw of awkwardness with the staff. The food was genuinely great with appropriate prices, so I may give it another shot down the road as a date night option.

A great spot for a solid Chinese meal--and surprisingly, an amazing banana cream pie!…read more The service was friendly overall, although our table wasn't checked on very often since it was so busy. That said, the food more than made up for it. Our favorite dish by far was the Spicy Calamari with Basil. It's something I'd absolutely come back for--the calamari was tender with a great texture, and the sweet, savory flavors paired perfectly with everything else we ordered. The Garlic Chili Green Beans were another standout. They had great flavor and still retained a nice crunch instead of being overly soft, giving them the perfect stir-fried texture. The Vegetable Chow Fun (with beef added) was decent but a little dry for my taste, so it's probably not something I'd order again. By the end of the meal we were completely stuffed, but we couldn't resist trying the banana cream pie. It looked huge when it arrived, and we honestly didn't think we'd finish it--but it was so delicious that we ended up eating the whole thing. Definitely don't skip dessert! I also appreciated that when I asked for hot sauce, they brought out several different options to try, including what seemed like a garlic chili sauce, chili crisp, hot mustard, and sweet and sour sauce. It was a fun touch that let us customize each bite. The restaurant also has a lot of history and character. We walked in casually without realizing it was a more upscale sit-down restaurant, but it ended up being one of the highlights of our day. If you go, the Spicy Calamari with Basil and the banana cream pie are absolute must-orders!

My goal is to come here during dine downtown week in January to try that menu since I hear it's worth it. The restaurant itself is like a long, large hallway. When you walk in, your greeted by the host desk. Then you walk towards the back and pass a bunch of booths, tables and the bar area to the right. It's built like a Craftsman style layout. When I was here recently, it was for a friend's birthday and there was a group of 10+ of us. They only do family style food so our group was split into 2 tables and each table ordered their own entrees and meals to eat family style. I was at a table of perks I had just met that night, but we had no issues sharing plates. This may not be for everyone, do you can still order your own entrees, but there won't be much variety if you don't have a lot of people. The food was good. We ordered wallet shrimp, Buddha's delight, the curry noodles/chow mein, garlic green beans and chicken chow mein. All three good was good. I would say it's above average and comparable to Din Tai Fung, but a bit cheaper. I liked the walnut shrimp, garlic green beans and buddhas delight. Service was decent. It could've been better, but could've been worse. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. I'll be back when dine downtown rolls around.

I waited in the car for a bit and then when the order still needed a few more minutes I popped into the dollar store next door to kill a bit more time. Before I knew it my order was ready to go. They packed everything really nicely and we served it up as soon as we got home. Their rice noodle rolls are so flavorful and I love the sweet, salty and savory sauce that comes with it. The noodles are really filling, and the dishes we got would be enough food for 2-4 people depending on how hungry you are. We ate the rice rolls right away and then had leftover green beans and beef and mushrooms for lunch today. The green beans were fresh and had a great garlic flavor, without it being too much. The Beef and Mushrooms was great, the beef was tender and flavorful and the mushrooms soaked up all the sauce. There were also green beans in this dish, which was a perfect addition. The food came out fast and piping hot. Pretty soon our entire table was covered with dishes. We started with the hot and sour soup, which we both felt was lacking in the flavor department. It didn't have that spicy tang that you look for when you order hot and sour soup. The potstickers were fried crispy, but the dough was a little too thick. The spicy cucumbers had no flavor to them at all. And the honey walnut shrimp was not memorable. We both felt that the two best dishes were the BBQ pork fried rice and the Mongolian beef. The beef was tender and had good flavor. The prices were extremely fair and the portions were large, but all in all this was not my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area.

The parking lot still is a pain in the butt to deal with, so some things haven't changed lol.

Service is not friendly but the food was hot and tasty. Prices and portions were also great. They filled our glasses of water and again until we left. They allowed us to bring wine and no corkage fee so that was a plus. All in all we had a good dinner and left with a full belly and to go boxes. We got complimentary jello as a dessert/digstive.
