I ended up getting their Mr. Crazy Roll which consist of sashimi salmon and uni over California rolls. It was delicious! They come in four pastel colors : green , blue , pink and lilac . Each customer is limited to one set of four. The line is crazy long , like 2-3 blocks long . Some people came as early as 5 am . The store opens at 8 am each morning. They have huge boxes of supply so everyone in line got the bag. I came at 8:01 am and went to the end of the line . But I got my bags within 20 minutes . It was a bit frustrating to shop as a lot of items were just missing. I did notice they were about to restock but I'm not going to wait. Again maybe it's just that one day. It does get really packed here. There are a lot of workers here and they seem to be always running around. But they are quite helpful and willing to search for something that you're looking for. Overall, it's not my favorite TJ. But it'll do as it is the closest. I'm just going to have to try not to go too late and perhaps just deal with the crowd in the mornings.

He stated that it was "the law" that a Mexican passport could not be used as ID. I have shopped at this store for years and have never encountered any issues using this form of identification. When Christopher saw that my ID was a Mexican passport, his reaction appeared noticeably negative, which made me feel that his refusal may have been racially motivated. I chose not to escalate the situation at the register and asked him to remove the items. I then requested to speak with the manager on duty, an older Asian woman. I asked whether rejecting a Mexican passport was store policy. She clearly confirmed that a Mexican passport is an international form of identification and is valid. When I explained that I felt the cashier's behavior was discriminatory, she appeared to acknowledge my concern. She completed my transaction, and I reminded Christopher of the correct policy. His demeanor throughout the interaction remained rude and disrespectful. I have never experienced racism before, and this incident was unacceptable. I expect employees to know store policies and to treat customers respectfully. I plan to contact the store manager and corporate regarding this matter. Christopher also refused to provide Dave Hines' email, claiming he was not allowed to give it out. As a manager myself, I find this behavior unprofessional and unethical. Christopher demonstrated discriminatory behavior and poor customer service, and I hope appropriate action is taken.

I've heard good things about Khorasan so decided to check it out. They have an abundance of meats, marinades and other items you may need. We only needed the chops. We ordered 10 pounds and watched as the butcher pulled a whole lamb from the freezer and expertly cut out the ribs and sliced them into the perfect pieces. We are extremely excited to BBQ these chops and can't wait to see how they taste. 10/10 will come back next time we need halal meats.

She told me that you have to scan all your groceries first and then bag after. Usually, I put the bag up on the scale before scanning the groceries and then just put the groceries into the bag, but they no longer allow that. So she pulled my groceries out of the bag to allow me to scan the rest of the groceries.

I went through self-checkout (they usually have only one staffed checker), entered my phone number, and the discount was applied--partially. One item rang up at the regular, higher price. When I asked for a price adjustment, I was told that a particular flavor was not included in the sale, even though it was clearly marked as part of the promotion where it was displayed in the store. This was incorrect. I didn't feel like arguing or walking back to take photos to prove it. My seven $5 items should have totaled $35, not $42. Eventually, the issue was corrected, but the associate did not initially know how to process the adjustment. Additionally, several packages of the item I purchased were past the SELL BY date. Some were dated 11/2025, while others on the shelf were already expired. I had to search through the display to find items that were still within date. Be sure to check prices and dates carefully--especially when items are on sale. I did want to photograph or mention the item in question because I did believe they had anything to do with the stocking of merchandise in the store. To Raleys: You need to step it up. FIFO!
