Riley's is a supermarket with character . It has excellent steaks , meats, food and vegetables. On site it has a delicious hot deli section with their famous fried chicken , freshly made sushi each morning , two kinds of home made soups , cold cut , salad and sandwiches. Closed by is a huge selection of ready to eat food , all you need is to heat it up when you get home . I love their gifts and Hallmarks section . Their gifts are one of a kind , nothing you can find in the malls or Walmart . They are well made with special designs and meaning . The 4 th of July palm pal ( stuffed toys ) are so cute . From time to time they have a different bear for fund raising. Today was $12 great bear to feed the families in needed . The store is big , spacious and very comfortable to browse around. Of course they have a loyalty program. You register with your phone number. Parking is right outside the front door and they have public restrooms for shoppers . Local grocery store with decent stock often discounted for members and serviced by seasoned and friendly staff. Raley's, a shrinking brand here in this part of the bay, still holds a large footprint in downtown Fremont. Benefiting from the big parking lot shared by many eateries, cafes, and specialty stores and entertainment, the grocery chain welcomes many to its storefront and keeps them coming back with their weekly deals. Some of the parking spots are tight but there are spaces all around the shopping center if you're willing to walk. But once you're settled, head on inside and be prepared to shop! Be sure to join their free membership to maximize savings (aside from their weekly deals, they have some specials on Mondays and during holidays). A jarring sight, however, is the security officer standing watch at the front entrance which makes you wonder if their presence is due to a necessity or simply a security protocol for deterring that necessity. From all the visits I've made, the security personnel are just as friendly as the store's staff who are frequently traversing through sections to restock, check inventory, and help customers. As you continue walking in, you'll pass the dining space and prepared food section where you'll find fried foods, stirfrys and soups sitting in warmers. Nearby food stations also host a good collection of more freshly prepared foods and a deli for sandwiches. The prices can be decent with their added discounts at times, but I've yet to be hungry enough to try. The biggest impression for me at this store is their dedicated produce section. Organics as well as fruits and vegetables of the season are in full display, vibrant in color and heaped in abundance. Some of their more perishable produce may be found in the chilled cases on the side. In addition, I'm a big fan of their seafood and meats section as the staff behind the counter are friendly and helpful. The selection can be minimal during peak times but the quality seems to be pretty good for the value. Their bread, cereal, and coffee sections are also well stocked and we've also been able to find some solid pumpernickel bread as well as Dutch crunch French bread. After perusing the store and piling your cart, you'll head to the registers, however in all my visits so far, we have been able to use the self checkout which, for the most part, has been a good experience. The staff float around and are helpful in the event that an item needs to be cancelled or a SKU needs to be looked up. A few areas of improvement would include their water fountains by the bathrooms which haven't worked in our visits and general bathroom upkeep. Overall, Raley's does a great job welcoming folks near and far to their well stocked store, serving fresh and on-sale items. The store is organized and frequently refreshed with new stock by their band of employees roaming the aisles with smiles. You'll also find that patrons here are quite friendly - almost a neighborly feel to it. This is a very clean, organic-looking grocery store. Very nice how they seem to take care of fruits and vegetables there. I also saw that they have a self-serving bar of foods like fried chicken and potato wedges I believe. I'm just here to shop for oatmilk rather than at the grocery store I usually go to. Really tired of routinely going to the same one near my home and so I decided to go a bit far and experience a bit. Appalling - would rate zero stars if this app allowed it. This place should be avoided. Bought gluten free rolls which were well within date and they were black with mould. Store replaced them and the same thing happened. Tried to complain on line web site down. Called HQ and spoke to complaints dept and said one of my family was sick having taken a bite out of the mouldy bun. Complaints couldn't deal with that complaint - had to go to another dept. a week later nothing from this disaster of an organisation. stat away from them at all costs. read more

A nice store but has rude cashiers. This isn't the first time I experienced this. I went in today, and expressed I needed help since I am a person with a disability. The cashier didn't acknowledge me at all and I was left having to try for myself. He only seemed to help when I didn't need help anymore. Please hire friendlier and more patient cashiers. I'm often in the area on Mondays to take advantage of Raley's $5 Monday deals. On January 12, one of the $5 Monday items was on sale, although this product typically varies in price when it's not discounted. I went through self-checkout (they usually have only one staffed checker), entered my phone number, and the discount was applied--partially. One item rang up at the regular, higher price. When I asked for a price adjustment, I was told that a particular flavor was not included in the sale, even though it was clearly marked as part of the promotion where it was displayed in the store. This was incorrect. I didn't feel like arguing or walking back to take photos to prove it. My seven $5 items should have totaled $35, not $42. Eventually, the issue was corrected, but the associate did not initially know how to process the adjustment. Additionally, several packages of the item I purchased were past the SELL BY date. Some were dated 11/2025, while others on the shelf were already expired. I had to search through the display to find items that were still within date. Be sure to check prices and dates carefully--especially when items are on sale. I did want to photograph or mention the item in question because I did believe they had anything to do with the stocking of merchandise in the store. To Raleys: You need to step it up. On Saturday, I was at Raley with my grandparents so they could get the sales pork ribs. There's Chinese dish that uses these ribs sliced through Roman provided excellent, enthusiastic customer service at the Meat and Fish department with my grandpa's request to slice through the ribs bones. read more

They have great member sales each week where you can really save some big bucks. Their seafood section is pretty well stocked and I love that I can request for them to cut my fish fillet into 4 piece or however many I want and repackage for me. The service is so kind over all, and at the deli counter they are very knowledgeable and if you are questioning if you'd like one meat you can ask for a sample to try. Overall the aisles are well stocked and organized, clean and laid out for you to find what you need fairly easily. read more

Raley's website truly needs some work. I rarely shop at Raley's anymore because their coupon clipping is tedious and broken. If I click on a coupon that is no longer available, it takes me all the way back to the top of the page. I have to begin my scrolling from the top again. After two or three times, I give up and shop at Safeway where they have a user-friendly website. read more

We stopped by Raley's today and Becky was extremely helpful serving us when we got one of your delicatessen dinners. We got it and went on our way through your nice store getting various other items to eat at home. We went to the cashier, payed for our items and proceeded to the parking lot to get the car and go on home. My friend was driving and he proceeded on before me while unknowing to him, I followed him out to the parking lot. He went down a car aisle about three down toward Walnut Ave. Then, I took the scenic route, doubling back to find the car which was actually parked closer to your door. I followed and by the time I saw him in the car, Becky was coming down this aisle of parked cars by your door to get me. Later he told me that he thought I had gone back into the store where he met Becky after asking a guard if he knew where I was. She came and got me and my friend who was now in a neighboring aisle. Then, Becky returned to make sure we met up and see to it that our groceries, which I was pushing, got into the car and we were merrily on our way! Such kindness and care is so rare nowadays. I want to make sure to thank you both and let you know what kind of an exquisite experience we had at Raley's as a result of Becky's most courteous care! I normally like Raleys...the cashiers are friendly, the produce is fresh and the store is relatively clean....the review is for the pie purchased today. This pie was labeled banana cream pie but there are no real bananas inside. The middle was frozen icy gelatinous mess. I feel they took a frozen pie from the freezer put it in a container and sprinkled crumbled graham cracker crumbs on it to make it appear like it was made in the bakery! Shame on you, Raleys. Worst pie purchase ever. Please stop passing off the fake baked goods as in house baked. If this is in house baked, you need to just take this off the shelf because it is awful. read more

I love Raley's. It is my primary grocery store. The entire staff is fantastic. The butchers, everybody working on the aisles, and the front staff. All wonderful! Great customer service! Unfortunately, I don't know their names. I do know one,, Andrea (I hope I am spelling her name right )in the deli department. She is so attentive to everybody's needs and works so hard. I'm there every week. I've been getting to know her since she started working there and she's been making my sandwich's and helping me with deli items. I can't cook often because I am a caregiver right now. Over the holidays I was trying to find items and she went out of her way and brought it to me while she was making my sandwiches. I didn't ask her to do that. She just did it with a smile on her face. Now , that is customer service. Don't get me wrong, the entire staff does the same thing. It's not only Andrea, it's the entire staff at this location. I just need to start getting to know their names so I can give them a nice Yelp review as well. read more

I just got my groceries delivered but I got the milk that I don't like and it is lactaid. How can I fix this

Hello I've wroten many times here about raleys and it seems their customer service is proving to decline more and more, just recently I was coming to deli to order some food for my family and a worker there named Becky was incredibly rude and nasty towards me for no reason whatsoever, I was just trying to be polite and get my food so I can go home and she was just rude all together and kept giving me dirty looks the entire time I was there. The deli department isn't even that nice looking either if I'm being honest. They have cockroachs all over that place and do not clean up properly and the manager James doesn't even do anything about it. I am on the verge of filling a complaint to HR if this continues again. read more

Railey's feels a bit like an old fashioned grocery store where the workers are still friendly. It had good meat and delicious and beautiful desserts. It is not the most expensive grocery store, but it also is not the cheapest. read more

My husband, who has a PhD and holds a very high-level position at a reputable company, experienced blatant discrimination at this store today. I asked him to quickly buy food for our baby before the store closed, but the security guard rudely stopped him simply because he was wearing a backpack. The guard told him, "Go away!" and refused to allow him in or even call a manager to address the situation. We live nearby and shop at this store frequently because it's within walking distance, unlike Whole Foods. I personally come with large Trader Joe's bags and a stroller, placing items in the bottom without any issues. We've never encountered a problem - perhaps because I'm a woman with a child? If the store is trying to prevent theft, particularly from homeless individuals, it's important to note that there is no official regulation posted about bags or backpacks. What about thieves without bags? This policy, if it even exists, was handled in an extremely rude and unprofessional way, making loyal customers like us rethink shopping here. Being a customer for over 20+years, you see something that's?on sale at the back. Then they sell toys, knick knacks, Hotwheels and then Pokemon cards. I bought some Paldea Evolved booster packs for $5 each. Not the latest craze, but just pulling some cards like full arts or finding illustrations of my favorite illustrators. The pokemon cards are located at the toy section aisle where they sell toys, stationery and tupperware. It is located at the very right hand side of the supermarket. read more

This store is relatively clean and spacious. The location is good as well as it's in the center of town. I can find most of what I'm looking for but I was surprised I wasn't able to find one brand of juice here that I can normally find elsewhere. I was looking at several places in the store since this store is pretty big, but no luck. They don't really have floor workers here which seems kind of weird too. You have to find the items you're looking for on your own. I went in today to do my normal shopping, and although one cashier helped alleviate the line, I let him know I brought my own bag and he rudely just tossed it aside and didn't interact/:say anything to me. I thought that was super weird and rude since I thought he would just bag my items like he's supposed to because he's getting paid, I'm not. I didn't say anything, but bagged my stuff and he waves the receipt at me as if to say like "hurry up, you're slow". I just walked out of there without saying anything either, but watch out for him: He needs better training on how to deal with customers. He's a younger guy probably in his 20s-30s. I'd probably avoid the hot bar food here too since who knows how long it's been sitting out or been cleaned. Also they don't seem to have lids on the food there so that's weird too. read more

I cannot believe that Raleys would give up selling $200 worth of groceries over a $4.99 price difference. 0730 this morning I shopped to prepare Xmas dinner. I went to the checkout with over $200 groceries in my basket including a 24-pak dinner rolls that are to be on sale for $5.00 tomorrow (Monday $5 sale day). I told the cashier that I travel from Hayward and would like to pay the sale price so I do not have to return tomorrow. I was told that the store policy was not to do it. I asked if there was a manager who could override the price and he called Valerie who said no way, could not do it. I asked if she was willing to give up $200 worth of groceries for a $4.99 savings on dinner rolls. She said again, there was nothing she could do. I told her to return my items to the store shelves and I walked away, went to Safeway, and spent $200 there. read more

This is one of my favorite supermarket in the bay. I stop by everytime I'm in the area. My spot to get thick cut bacon by the slice. I usually get 4-6 slices. Enough for 2 breakfast meals.. Can cut each slice in halves really. Don't have time to cook bacon and eggs every morning. Usually get this for the weekend. They also have the best mediterranean olive bread.. every time I get a loaf, its wine time. Get a tray add some extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and grind some fresh peppers. Italian style..right? They also have blue cheese stuff olives in the deli as well... Love these, also good with wine I also grab a roast beef deli sandwich made to order for 6.99 from time to time for lunch Another thing is the pick 4 desserts for $12 I try not to get this too often... Pure indulgence Now, if they have a italian pasta bar like petrini's. That would be cool... Oh they have a taco bar and a sushi station as well. Never tried it yet. read more

Always found what I was looking for. Vegetables and Fruits section is very good. Get the fresh fruits here. Must the the bakery department is also good. They are friendly and helpful, always answers your questions. Expect long lines in the evenings. There's a self checkout, but sometimes the line is longer for self checkout than the counters.
