I love the variety of class options and music selections each month. The babes at Yes Honey always give the girlies what we want! It's really fun when there's an event going on in St. Louis and Yes Honey fits the theme - for example, they had Beyoncé week when Beyoncé was performing in St. Louis a few months ago. The staff and instructors are always so bubbly, energizing, and supportive. I am instantly happier when I step foot in the building. It's CUTE and PINK, with fun merch and giveaways going on all the time! I have gone to a range of class types: Yes Choreo (choreography), Yes Move (follow-the-leader/freestyle), Poms (cheer style), Barre/Ballet, and ReSOUNDing Yoga (sound bath/yoga) and have loved every one! They have several class purchasing options including monthly memberships, pay by class, or class packs online. I bought a 10-class pack which came out to $18/class. They have Yes Move which is follow the leader style dance, Yes Yoga - they have flow and yin. I LOVE yin yoga and didn't know about it until I tried it here. It's slower but it's harder mentally with your thoughts. I'm always ready for bed after yin, it's so calming. Yes Strength Barre- I was never a morning workout girlie until I did 6am with Sam! 10/10 l was doing research to find a group-setting workout. I stumbled across Yes Honey and loved the low fee option (small commitment) to try a first class. I loved the idea of dancing as a workout but immediately remembered l have zero ounces of rhythm. The website highlights repeatedly although the trainers are dancers it is not a requirement and a judgement free zone. My courage didn't take me to a strictly dancing class my first go around. I signed up for the Yes Strength Barre session with Sam! Sam! The Studio! The Sunrise Hour! The workout itself! All perfect! I left there feeling encouraged and like it was a chill inclusive environment. I'm hoping to spend my workouts here this summer! read more

I've been to two classes so far and I'm so excited to go back for more. I'm absolutely not a dancer by any stretch of the imagination, but I was able to (mostly) follow along with the dance moves and have a good time. The atmosphere is great, friendly, and super fun! I attended one Yes Move class, which is more of a dance fitness class where you follow along with the instructor to music. I also attended one Yes Choreo class, where the instructor teaches a short dance (the song the night I went was Yummy by Justin Bieber). That was more challenging for my uncoordinated self, but the instructor made it fun, repeated whatever sections of choreography we needed to go over again, and broke it down into very manageable parts. At the end, we broke into two groups and "performed" for each other. I was definitely pushing myself out of my self-conscious introvert comfort zone, but I can't think of a more supportive and easy-going environment to do it in. I'm so excited to try their other classes. I bought a 10 pack so I've already signed up for a bunch more styles of dance (including Latin, Bollywood, and other cool stuff). If you're a healthcare worker, ask about their 20% discount. Oh and the first class is just $10! Definitely go try them out! read more

Did a beginner/intermediate class with some friends this weekend and Keeks, our instructor, made the whole experience so fun! It was the first class we've taken and none of us had any dance experience, but the first thing she told us is don't take yourself too seriously and just have fun with it, improvise when you need to, modify when you need to, the point is just to move! And that's exactly what we did and it was definitely a great way to sweat! The first 40ish minutes was the dance moves/cardio to different songs of the theme, the last 15 minutes was strength, with a 5 min cool down stretch. read more

I was first introduced to this studio through virtual classes as a Yelp Elite. Now I've been to 2 in-person classes so far and have really enjoyed them! I don't like going to the gym and working out so its a great fit for me. The classes don't feel like a workout. I did one of Amar's BollyX classes and Lawrence's musical theater/jazz. There is such a variety of dance styles and I'm looking forward to trying a few more. I did a 10 class package but they offer a lot of different packages. I've only been going to Yes Honey for one month, but as my husband says I'm drinking the Kool-Aid! I don't have any dance training but have always loved to dance and this place has taught me so much! I've tried classes with several of the instructors, and they all are all so professional and encouraging. I've tried going to many gyms over the years but always ended up wasting my money because I didn't have fun. This is the first time in my life I'm excited to work out. After every class, I leave full of energy and excited to show others what I did. I've done jazzercise, step aerobics, and lots of Zumba before. So thankful that during my "new year, fresh start" campaign in January Yes Honey Studio has kept me moving and grooving toward my fitness goals. This brand new boutique fitness studio located in the Grove mixes hip hop dancing, cardio and strength training to provide an incredible workout for people of any fitness level. Music thumps through the speakers as their energetic and motivating teachers lead you through some dance moves that make you feel fit for an MTV music video (when they had videos of course.) The moves are all very accessible, no matter how uncoordinated you may joke you are; you can always find a way to modify the dances being taught to meet your needs. But the studio isn't JUST dance. Several times a day they offer "Yes Strength" classes that are more aligned with classic aerobics classes that aim to improve your cardio with a little taste of muscle toning using weights and resistance bands. And you don't even have to worry about bringing your own equipment. Everything is provided for you, and well cleaned after each class by Yes Honey staff members. The location is so easy to get to from Rt. 44. It's located on the ground floor of the Woodward Lofts on Tower Grove Avenue. Parking is free and simple. What I really appreciate is how well lit the parking lot, making it feel so much more safe after evening classes. Aesthetically the studio is breathtaking. I can remember walking in for the first time and feeling as if I had been transported to a high-end West Hollywood workout facility. Every detail is not only well designed but SO Instagramable (I mean really, did you even workout if you didn't post a pic on IG??) The workout space is massive. Even if you were not required to leave your mask on during classes, there's plenty of space between you and other fitness fanatics to feel safe from COVID. They also leave all the windows in the space open to help circulation. Overall they are really doing everything right to keep us all safe during classes. As if the space and workouts weren't fabulous enough, Yes Honey also offers online virtual classes. So you can get your butt kicked from the comfort of your own home! The videos are easy to access through the same app used to sign up for classes. The idea of dancing in a brightly lit room sounds incredibly intimidating, but the community at Yes Honey is SO welcoming. There is absolutely no judgment. Everyone is there to have fun and work off a few quarantine calories. When I went for a workout I had a huge (masked) smile on my face the entire time.
