You can chalk up your hands, go for that new deadlift PR, and the gym will be cheering you on. Now under new ownership the gym is expanding into kickboxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, MMA, etc. I first stepped foot into Eagle Gym over 15 years ago and loved the place ever since. Rick King the original founder and owner of Eagle Gym is a legend in the bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman world, and Matt (the previous owner/manager) is also an extremely nice man with an extensive knowledge of bodybuilding, strongman, and powerlifting. I have a lot of fond memories training strongman events in the parking lot behind Eagle Gym or just getting my pump on inside the gym going down the dumbbell rack. I just signed up to the gym last week, met the new owners (who are very nice people), and I am excited to begin regularly going to the gym. I live 35 minutes away from the gym and I drive past a ton of gyms to make it to Eagle Gym. I am looking forward to the future of Eagle Gym keeping the hardcore bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, and boxing culture it is known for while also expanding the gym to include kickboxing, wrestling, jiu jitsu, and MMA. The gym membership is extremely affordable, and the new owners are very easy to work with. For the cost of some junk food and soda, you can afford a gym membership at Eagle Gym. Do yourself a favor, sign up to Eagle Gym, and get strong, healthy, and learn how to box.

Rick King (one of the managers/owners) is super nice and a friendly guy, and was a bodybuilder back in the day, so he's a legit guy. Although the other owner/manager will get into arguments with you about treating the Dumbells with any less delicacy than a newborn baby. Didn't drop or slam any weights and still was confronted. He is quite hostile in his approach as well. I don't suspect the gym will last that long given the lack of money put into maintaining the place. (Like upgrading to rubber coated dumbells and maintaining the machines instead of getting angry at the customers) Also if cleanliness is a worry for you, this is definitely not the gym, I have seen cockroach, and some places havent or been cleaned or dusted for probably 30 years lol. Personally that did not bother me. Overall for the price it's decent and if your in the location there's not much competition near by.

From the moment I stepped in I just found it to really fit me. It's a quick workout, about 30 min. You can start at anytime so you don't have to follow a schedule. They work your rear end off while you are there. They teach you a lot of very simple things that honestly you could do anywhere but yet so effective. For those that have never been there, there is basically 9 stations and you do 3 min in each station. About 1/2 you have boxing gloves for and 1/2 just a hand wrap. Every week has different variations of workouts in each station with the exception of the jump rope. All I can say is that I am miserable by the end of the 9 rounds, feel great on the drive home and look forward to going back as soon as I can. That my friends...has never happened to me before. Give it a try, it might just work for you as well.

Today the trainer couldn't be bothered to even say 30 seconds while she literally put her head on the counter. Another member even walked out at round 8 bc the two trainers on Monday were just chatting up front. You can't keep charging these prices with this bad service. K2

To get your money back, you have to check-in on social media every time you're there, let them use your before and after pictures, post a review on here (FYI - Businesses should not be asking for reviews. It's against Yelp's conflict of interest policy), and lose 25 lbs. Losing 25 lbs is not the same for everyone as far as percentage of body weight. You have to go 3x a week for an hour. It's a one-size-fits-all mentality. I'm looking for something more personalized. It's not just about losing weight, it's about losing inches, gaining muscle and confidence, etc. Jeremy is a no nonsense and direct motivator if that's what you're looking for. I'm not willing to risk the money for something I'm not sure will motivate me. Kickboxing is 2 nights a week. It's a group setting. It seemed very disorganized while I was there, both the class and the space. Very small and crowded space, very claustrophobic. Didn't feel very clean. Mismatch of equipment. Jackets and bags all over the place. Parking is a nightmare. I tried to ask questions, which weren't answered directly, was made to feel my questions were just excuses. Was not impressed with space, staff, or sales pitch.

BUTTT, like always, you still don't read or understand anything especially since you're still on the same rant of him not coming in because you think he "pussed out" and you think the male should be in charge (according to the phone call a month ago) so no surprise with your comment and how you don't listen. And thanks, found a better place at Studio Element. Anyone who is looking for someone should GO to STUDIO ELEMENT. It's worth the money to be treated better and get results that will last than treated like crap by some rude "trainer" who has an extremely unhealthy way of making people lose weight. So glad you took our hard earned money for free and you showed us your true colors. If anything came from you stealing our hard earned money it that we got out of your bad business. Also, your contract is still not valid as your address in it isn't even where you work out of (I got the return envelope). Thanks, jack-a...Jeremy! Where do I even start. This place deserves zero stars because of Jeremy. Jeremy will talk down to you, talk over you, does not compromise or get the picture. He does not care for his clients and wants it his way or the highway. He will rip you off. BE CAREFUL. I have his contract posted below. Wednesday, my boyfriend and I decided to go into here for a free consultation. He sat down with us (more like my boyfriend, not us because he would hardly talk to me...big macho man ), got right to the point about how his 6 week training program is and blah blah blah. He said it was $499 a person but if we both come in together it's $399 BUT we have to put 1/3 of the money down today. So my boyfriend said sure he'll put his part down and I'll talk to my parents to see if they'll help me out. My parents said they would help out, but not right away, and so my boyfriend had $236 on him and he went ahead and gave him the money and signed his own contract (I never signed one) which doesn't say a start date. Jeremy said if I decide I don't want to come in and do it, then that money would just be for my boyfriend (1/3 of $499 isn't $236 btw, Jeremy). So we left planning on coming in Monday, June 18th. This weekend I had an incident where I fell on my right elbow (swore I broke it) and went to urgent care the next day and thankfully found out it was severely sprained. I talked to my boyfriend and asked if he'd wait until the following Monday so we could do it together, because we wanted to do this together. We live together, it makes sense to only do it together. I did not want to waste my first week of Jeremy's 6 week program with a hurt arm, only being able to do exercises with every other body part. So this morning (Monday, June 18th) we texted Jeremy telling him the situation and asking if he'd let us start Monday. He basically says a sprained elbow is nothing then calls my boyfriend only to try to force him into coming in and asking him who is in charge me or him (my boyfriend)? My boyfriend kept explaining can we just come in as a couple next Monday or no? And he said we can but my boyfriend would not get his 6 weeks but I would (LOLWHAT) then goes on to say this doesn't excuse my boyfriend, he can still come in today regardless of me (which is true) but my boyfriend kept telling him how he wants to do this with me as a couple, again, TOGETHER. Obviously, Jeremy did not get the picture and only cared about money because here we are, out $236 and in a very uncomfortable situation where my boyfriend and I don't ever want to go back to this guy again because why would I want to workout with a guy who only cares about himself and his money. In all honesty, if I was rich, I'd pay you the money not to go to him. Screenshots of his texts follow

Hmm maybe change it to a 4x3 pack so there is truth in the package sale. My kids got sick, my husband had to go out of town for work and I haven't been able to get time for another kickboxing workout. So there goes my $80 two months in a row. Coach Drea is a good teacher. It was advertised as a weight loss challenge. I was "interviewed" and told I was not eligible for the body transformation challenge. However, I found the person I spoke with kind and personable. I was excited about getting back in to kick boxing so I decided to give the gym a chance anyway. I was immediately disgusted by the fact that you can't wear shoes during classes. In a post Covid world and as a nurse, I found this unsettling. Again, I ignored my red flags and did my trial class and signed up. I know my health needs some motivation so I took a leap of faith. In my brief membership I was nothing but let down. I depend on afternoon classes but attendance is so low they kept getting canceled. Then, I had a health issue come up that required surgery. I called to put my membership on hold and was told that it was on hold but I still accrued charges! Then I called three times for reimbursement and never got a call back from the manger who is the only one with access to grant refunds. So I called to cancel. I got the same run around in my attempts to cancel! Three phone calls and an email to the manager but no response. I don't even know how to escalate my frustration because I can't get a response. Very disappointed! Now I understand why they never look busy.
